any idea why? it will stay on that screen forever..
cm7, with glitches kernal...low leak kernal
Sounds like you flashed the wrong kernel for your ROM, or it didn't flash properly. You'll need to flash a new kernel/rom to get back out of it.
Try holding the power and volume up button till the phone powers off, then let it reboot.

I have an thunderbolt that I was running bamf 3.0 (I think), I havent used it for a while so I gave it to a buddy. He took it and started playing with the bamf toolkit changing the font, ever since then it gets stuck at the HTC screen. I can still boot into recovery and everything even still flash roms through CWM, but no matter what it sticks at the white HTC screen, can the excellent XDA peeps help me through this?
Even after you wipe the system, cache, and dalvik you still get stuck? Try updating your clockwork, or switch to twrp 2.0 and see what you can accomplish. http://teamw.in/project/twrp2
Did u try clearing data/cache each 3 times then restore a nandroid back up?

If that does not help you need to do this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1310014
Here is what happened. Flashed voodoo lag fix, Didnt notice any difference after 3-4 days. Then tried to flash back to stock(eclare). Here is where im stuck at, it wouldnt boot up using the stock eclare, So I tried one of the tuts here that said to use eugene rom. I used the pit 52 file+ eugene rom. Flashed those using oden, phone boots up fine, but I now have the not enough space problem when attempting to dl apps from the app store. When I reboot my phone after I have tried to use the market, the market app disappears. Ive tried using other roms and nothing works.
Every time I flash a rom I get "data failed to whipe" on first reboot.
Find a ROM you want and in recovery wipe cache, dalvik cache, wipe data, format system in mounts and storage then flash the ROM and see if that clears things up.

Just saw this in another thread, it might help you.
Google eugenes froyo that does not brick, read the op carefully, because after you odin the tar file, you will have an error message, thats ok, odin eclair and you should pass.
Read it 10 times, you'll reboot in cwm with an error message, ok, reboot, download, eclair.

The only rom that will boot is "eugenes froyo that does not brick". All others boot to the vibrant/samsung screen then to black screen where only the bottom 4 buttons light up, but nothing happens.
I was on the stock eclare rom.
Its also saying there isnt a partition for app2SD. Any way to fix this?
Have you tried this tar? I use it instead of flashing to eclair as most of eugenes roms repartition...XDA search for a link to this... Eugene_2E_JK2_froyo.tar.

Thats the one Ive been using, if there is a tut to fix the vibrant on here, Ive already tried it.
I dont think thats the one, the eugene I use is Eugene373_samsungS_froyo_pda.zip, and it wont reboot, it will take you to recovery with an error message. you pull the battery, enter download, then odin eclair. Ive used it for corrupted flashes that result in failed odin rewrites to stock. Search that pda and it will take to a 4share download.

How do I completely remove (or disable) the Droid X2 bootstrap recovery app ( MOTODX2_Bootstrap_signed.apk )? I searched, but did not find instructions specific to this particular recovery app on the Droid X2. Uninstalling from Applications menu is obviously not enough because the phone still boots to recovery menu if plugged into power.
open system recovery app, select 3rd option charge mode

I went to a few different rom and they all said i needed safetrap 3.75 and up, mine use to be 3.5 i think or something like that and i was just running a stock rom. When ever i would reboot safetrap would come up and tell me if i didnt do anything in 10 sec it would just boot normally. Well he is where i goofed because i wanted a new rom i uninstalled my old safetrap successfully and install the new one but for kitkat 4.4 but I'm sure i use to be 4.1. My phone no longer boots up the new safetrap boot up and say system will start in 10 sec but does not. PPPPPPlease pplse help I over my head and don't know what to do.

Power off, Hold volume buttons (or M key/droid 4), Power on, release buttons at
Boot Mode Selection Menu> Scroll down with volume down button, to BP Tools, Select with Volume UP button, should boot directly to SafeStrap (if it's still there).

@stargo has released a updated safestrap (v3.75 - Jan 2015)
Cm12 requires safestrap v3.75 (or newer)
Safestrap-XXXXX-v3.75.apk (31-Jan-2015 )
if you installed the debugged version likely do not need to upgrade, but if you have 3.74 or lower use Safestrap-XXXXXX-v3.75.apk (or newer)
follow the readme.txt instructions on the download site
Download the version for your device

So other than uninstalling the recovery through the old app, then deleting it then installing the newer 3.75 apk app, is there anything else someone should be mindful of?
I'm about to upgrade my safestrap from 3.73 to 3.75 myself on my XT912... Backing up everything while I read and reply...
