1. Use tsunagi downloader to connect tg01 and upgrading win7boot.bin（81,235,968）.process completed 99% and got an information TG-DOWNLOADER Invalid CheckSum
2. use ZTEiT Common downloader(select multi—download, not backup) file：flash.bin ,NPRG8650.hex,partition.mbn. for about 10 minutes. Completed and got the information as download successful. Restart it.
3. Open tg01, no information on screen. Sign lights turns green.
HELP。。

it will say invalid checksum
just take out your battery put it back in and hold camera+power for blue LED then carry on as normal

I have a same trouble with my TG01!!!
I flashed win7boot.bin,when it worked in 99% and got an information is "Invalid CheckSum"!!!

Ah, yes I am now at this point with the phone only showing a green LED :-( (It won't go to a blue LED due to low battery now :-(
Holding down the camera buttong and the power button just makes the LED flash red (low battery???)
If I charge with charger, the LED goes green and the screen comes on. It does not charge.
If I charge with the USB cable, it charges a bit, then goes green LED, then charges, then goes green. I cannot get the phone to come on.
I have now ordered a mobile phone battery charger to take the TG01 out of the charging equation. Hopefully I can it into 'blue LED' mode once I receive the charger and get some charge in the battery. Has anyone else tried this yet?

If you can get blue LED, and you have the 6.5 boot bin, you'll need to try and flash the 6.5 ROM onto it as well won't you?
Managed to get a blue LED by holding down the camera button then the power button, and THEN plugging in the power cable. Pretty hard to do lol.
I had to MANUALLY install the qualcomm (acer) driver in the device manager however as it won't install properly otherwise. I'm attempting a WP7 MiROM Blue LED flash now using my XP Pro SP3 laptop. Really unsure if this will work as completely unaware of how much battery power is left :-(
Once the phone is flashed.. do I just leave it connected and wait for it to hopefully reboot? (I.e. don't remove the battery etc?)
Update: Downloaded WP7 sucessfully.. and it's just doing the orange LED wait... then green LED.. then orange LED ..wait... etc it's not rebooting it's just doing what is does when attached to the PC normally (with it borked). Very upsetting.

Hmm.. ok trying again. What is really bizarre this time is that this time I have the blue led and three lines of text on the screen of the phone!!

The only difference is that I held down the camera and power button for about 10 seconds and then it displayed that. Heck.. at least it displays "something" !

Managed to get the W6.5 boot loader back on, and with it attached to the charger it is now going between orange led and white led, at least a few minutes apart for each change.
Will try to see if it will charge that way and somehow attempt a W6.5 install. (Unfortunately I kept the SD card in so that is probably ruined for the moment as well :-( )
UPDATE: I think I am gonna have to wait for the external battery charger to turn up as it keeps cutting out with the white LED faster and faster now :-( Charging it just cycles white then orange (meaning it runs the battery down straight after it's trying to charge it lol).
Well I'm attempting to charge my battery with the external charger now. Will let you chaps know how I get on.
EDIT: Well there is some hope left! The charger appears to have worked and I have managed to get the white LED back
Any advice from this point would be awesome.

I was actually thinking about PM'ing you as I know you had issues you managed to sort out when flashing.
Hmm.. well, I've just tried the Bootloader again for WP7 and reflashed the WP7 rom. It's now finished, and nothing seemed to happen but the green LED come back on (It's still plugged in :-( )
I'd like to be able to get back to WM6.5 if possible.
EDIT: Just a note: I have to select TG01W or I get it telling me it can't find the port. (And sometimes it tells me that when selecting TG01W to be honest). (When flashing using TG-Downloader)

On the WM6 boot loader. I NEED a suitable wm6.5 BIN file though, and mirom's link is down :-( I do however have the mirom.tsw : Can I convert that to a bin? (EDIT: Ignore that.. megaupload link now working.. downloading BIN file now )
EDIT: Well... I've now flashed the 6.5 BIN file to the phone. It said "Download complete". then phone has restarted with a White LED, and the screen says:

I mean "technically" if it was booting WM6.5 perfectly before, if I stuck back the 'same' boot loader, it "should" work again?
Downloading XP virtual machine for windows 7.
I'm still unsure of the USB driver thing here. If I just 'run' the software supplied by mirolg (and others) the drivers don't install properly. So I go into the device manager and manually select the drivers for it to install from those folders/directories. Is that right? Otherwise, everytime I try to plug the phone in, it's tries to install other drivers.. OR.. is this where I am going wrong?

to unlock go to the unlock folder and copy the cert.cab file to your phone using activesync and run the app from your phone. if your phone wont run the file then use the SDA_applicationUnlock.exe.
in the unlock folder you will find SPVServices.exe click SIMLock Tool and let it do its magic, after this click CID Tool. This will set your phones CID to 1111...
your phone will now be unlocked
we will now patch the ruu,
you will need to turn your phone off and hold the camera button whilst putting the usb into the phone. this will turn it on and show you a three colour screen. go to the spl folder use Patched_RUU.exe to flash your phone, after the bar has reached 100% you can unplug the phone. and turn it off.
now, use as.exe to kill microsoft activesync and then double click on MMTY142.exe this is what we will be using to flash your phone.
do the same thing we did before, hold the camera button and it will show you a 3 colour screen. but this time it will say
need an I U(0)?
make sure you select Y. (youwont see a N) you might need to do this a few times to get it right.
click the usb button and then it will show you a terminal which you will then type:

this should tell you that your phone is SUPERCID (if it isnt then go back and unlock again otherwise the rest wont work)
now type
format BINFS
after that you will then need to tell them where the rom is, we will be using 413.bin which is selang09's wm 6.1.
type in
l c:\thefilepathtoyourdesktopgoeshere\ubrhurricane\413.bin
this will then flash your phone and you can turn it off after it says its complete. if this fails then just try it again its probally because you didnt get a Y at need an I U(0)? )
you can reboot and you will see your phone with wm 6.1 when it boots up it will be in the chinese language. this can be changed by pressing start, 6, 0, 2 and then select US English.
install t9 english.cab using activesync onto your phone to sort out the chinese keypad.
you will now have a working wm6.1 in english with an english t9.
at the moment selang09 413 wm6.1 rom is the best i have used. its VERY RELIABLE.

You might want to clarify this is the USB button in MMTY142, as I saw USB in the bottom left corner of my phone, and kept trying to press the left soft button instead.
Finally, to reassure people that nothing is wrong, they will need to restart after selecting US English as the language, for all menus to not show Chinese any more.

The phone is totally dead (No three colors screen, no ligth on, no nothing).
If I hold down the camera button on the side and then I connect a (known working) USB to the PC; guess what... yes! Nothing Happens!
If I connect the phone to a main charger then the orange LED light up.
If I remove the battery and then put it back again and try to turn it on the LED light up in red (it blinks just once).
Could anybody help pleeeeeease!!!!

What an ungrateful & rude person you are. YOUR phone was bricked when YOU decided to try something on it. No-one forced you to attempt it.
As you may have guessed from other responses here, most of us have flashed this and other ROMs with no problem.
Is it definitely bricked? Have you tried various recovery techniques.
Have you previously tried asking for assistance in a non-confrontational manner, or even just asking for assistance?
After downgrade to 6.5 with program downloader 4. When i use camera+ power i have white led and on screen i have white text : MOD fs_device. C 0248
This screen after 10-20 second turn of and led is red.

I use camera and power becouse only this combination do something with phone.
I flash bin Nokser rom.
i use program downloader 4 from nicola92 post.
it will just do this with noksers wm6.5.x rom
i also had the screen MOD fs_device. C 0248
just flash a different wm6.5.x rom or whatever other rom you want its just noksers rom that did this to me
How you upload rom? Becouse after 10 second screen turn off.

OK which ROM will it NOT do it with that will restore my phone as I have this problem as well. Please a link to a bin file would be excellent (So I don't have to convert it as I don't know how).

Ah.. welcome to my world :-( Are you trying a bin file or a tsw file? (And why does it seem to work for some people and not for others??)
There MUST be something common here. Either people have different versions of phones OR we are all making the same mistake somewhere?
For example: I had to go into the device manager and manually update/reinstall the drivers for the wm6.5 bootloader drivers and the wp7 bootloader driver, as otherwise it wouldn't see the phone.
Also.. I'm flashing bin files. I figure the cable is fine as well as it seems to install the bootloader so I can flash, and the phone restarts when it should etc.
I was looking round for this MOD 248 thing, and the phone not booting, and it looks like back in October 'nyl' and a few others were getting this issue, yet still managed to recover there phones. So don't lose hope
I don't know why, but it seems like certain bin files work for some people but not for others? Very strange.
If anyone has some other bin files (WM6.5 AND WP7 that they know will work, please link to them )

hi, i don't know much over the qpst upgrade method- but few user here with same/similar issue (flash! although get a checksumm error!) have managed it succesfull ...........

I had this problem and i and i have not solved it yet. What happend?
1. At this point " 5. Install tg downloader and the 32 bit driver." driver not installed properly ....Qualcomm .... with red x. My OS is XP sp3 32bit
2. At this point " 10. Start download. on the 99% stay 1-2 min. PLEASE wait the 100% and the auto reboot " ... i get error ... invalid checksum , phone rebooted

I tried to get back to wm 6.5 but at the end after reboot i get on the screen this code
MOD 0248, I tried many times and various wm6.5 ROM till i made a big mistake: flashing without SD card inside, after that PC does not recognized my TG01, I thought its bricked becouse it could not get in to downloader mode, no white led, only green, no message on the screen. I charge the battery via USB cable cut until 4,15 V in vain, nothing happend. I hope it will help others to see what risk assumes. good luck !
I see no reason why flashing without the SD card in would cause an issue.
Note: Rapidly flashing orange/red light normally means battery is too low/depleted... so recharge using either the USB cable cut trick, or buy a cheap mobile phone battery EXTERNAL charger. (One that you take the battery out to charge with).
This really does seem now to be a common theme. What the heck is going on here? Do some people have slightly different model phones, or are we doing something ever so slightly wrong?
Also: If i hold down Camera + Up Volume + Power, I get the message "checking ftm mode Shared memory RPC Failed! - Spin Forever!". Now does this mean it's not actually in ftm mode?
Bah. Just tried using TG Downloader on a Windows XP Virtual Machine. I cannot get it to open the port. Regardless of whether I have installed drivers. Even tried setting the COM Ports to be the same value in a vain hope, or installing the drivers into W7 as well, but no use :-(
It was mentioned about having to use TG01C but I can only use (on my XP Laptop) TG01W, otherwise it doesn't open the port and flash. Do I need a slightly different boot loader for my phone or something?
The bit I REALLY don't get is that unless you manually install the drivers for the phone (I.e. going into the device manager, and selecting the folder, and then letting it pick up that you have plugged in a TG QDLoader... it won't work. BUT.. the guide makes absolutely no mention of this? This seems odd.

Decoding Different ROM's
Redownloaded bootloaders from different sources
Charged the battery 100% in an external charger each time
How the heck am I going to get out of the MOD 248 situation (wm6.5) / Green light (WP7)
What other options for flashing are open to me? I can't boot wm6.5 or wp7 :-( Does my phone need a different boot loader perhaps?
I do not believe my phone is bricked, because it does have a display and it can sometimes tell me the FTM check failed (using different buttons to force the FTM option). "nyl" managed to get out of this MOD 248 situation with a different ROM, but I can't for some reason.
I am scared to flash any other rom than a 0321 rom, although I can obviously change radio's on other rom's if need be.
it's really depressing to see you're trying to flash the wp7 without any sucess . so sorry for you. wp7 bootloader from my [guide] werks very well. I think it not exist a another or different wp7 bootloader.

I do actually see a fair number of people saying they were unable to flash correctly (i.e. Stuck between WM6.X and WP7 :-( ) So I figure I have to keep trying so that I can provide a solution for those people as well. Maybe I can compare my phone model/year/serial number/place of manufacturer etc to other people that are having issues, and those that had success?

a friend sent me an almost new Redmi Note 2 (I think 2 months old) that he bought while he was living in China, that recently "just stopped working"
Since he's not living there anymore, warranty's not an option and since he was "tired of dealing with it" he sent it to me.
So... when it arrived here, I noticed that it was completely discharged. If you plug it in, the red light goes on, but only stays on for like 5 minutes.
No matter what you do, it won't turn on.
I tried letting it charge overnight, only to find out that it was completely discharged again the next morning. As in... I checked the battery with a voltmeter and it was completely dead again.
I've since gotten a replacement battery, but even with that, it won't turn on.
When I connect it to the computer (with, or without battery) it shows up as "USB Serial Device" and shortly after as "PreLoader USB VCOM Port", but the problem is that it immediately disconnects again, a second later, so I can't actually use SP Flash Tool to do anything with it.
Any idea what's wrong with it, or do you think it's borked beyond repair?
I'm well versed with electronics (electronic engineer) so I could try to open it up, but with these things it's really hard to find any obvious defective parts (let alone replace most of them) so I thought I should ask for your opinion first.

BROM 4001 error

I have the same problem. I have tried to flash using SP flash tools but get a BROM 4001 error.

This is normal.
You should press Download on SP Flash Tool before connecting the device.

Here you can find a list of SP Flash Tool error codes.

Solution: Change the USB-port and transfer the SP Flash Tool to the root of drive C: \
There is also a version that the download agent containing no information on the CPU / flash.
Solution: upgrade proshivalschika.

I moved SP flash tool and associated files to C:/ and tried a couple of USB ports but got the same result. It has the red bar at 100% and waits for 24-26 seconds before giving the same error code.
Heyo, sorry, I totally forgot about the phone for a good while and just remembered it again.
Okay so... I installed the drivers again and it shows the right ones, but I think I sort of found the issue.
It only ever gets recognized as MTK USB Port and not as MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port.
Unless all the guides are wrong, I need to press Volume+ after plugging it in, to start it in the other mode, but that only worked once when I was trying stuff out without SP Flash tool open and i accidentally unplugged it again. Now it just never goes into the DA mode again.

I was using Pack-Flashtool-v5.1640.00.000, already tried with 5.17 as well.
The phone does not turn on, does not appear to be charging.
Only the computer recognizes it, when I try to use the flashtool again presents me with a lot of errors, which I did not give before, it's just the red bar.
Try keeping the phone on until the battery drains out, I was stuck on a similar situation once.

Try keeping the phone on until battery drains out, I was in a similar situation once.
Hello. I have flashed my Lenovo Vibe K5, former build A6020a40_S004 to A6020a40_105, hoping for that VoLTE update. Following the proper steps and downloading the Stock ROM Firmware from trusted supplier, my phone won't boot into anything: recovery, or normal. Though the LED lights up when connected to a computer. However, it doesn't appear on my computer or hear that USB chime. I'm using a Windows 10 (which I've seen many have issues with Windows 10 and drivers) running on Bootcamp 6. I appreciate it if you guys could help me. Thank you very much.
By the way, I have no custom recovery installed. Just the basic Android System Recovery <3e> and I'm not that familiar with Android systems.

Well sorry to hear about that but I know very well how to recover from such situation. You'll need to flash the recovery IMG again so that it boots into recovery mode

Yes my bud. I will provide you the link shortly to some SDK tools so that you can flash your recovery IMG again and et access to recovery mode. I know that situation is chaotic and sucks but I am assuming that you aren't able to access twrp or anything.when you turn the phone on it gets stuck at lenovo and after few minutes it gets restarted on its own. And on connection g it to computer, it just doesn't get connected and nothing appears to be connected. I want you to take the battery out and place it again after few minutes and press the "vol down" button and "power button at the same time. You'll see the same lenovo icon but there will be something written in Chinese or something like that. Now connect your phone to your computer and I advise you to use a very good quality data sharing cable or original lenovo cable. Now your computer will recognise your phone as a hard drive or a storage device.i I'll try to upload a video on that too. Till then try these steps and lemme know if they work and your computer recognises your dead phone.if it does then there is still a hope left. BTW I was stuck in the same situation twice but thank god I saved myself and I am using my device. Note:- this method doesn't uses any software like " QFIL" or "QCOM" loader to flash stock firmware. So my phone doesn't boot. It doesn't even show the Lenovo logo on it. Just mere darkness. :'(
I am going to Hong Kong later this week (this is where I bought the phone) and I don't know, maybe have someone fix it.
