Had the USB port go out on my Sensation today, so a warrenty exchange it was......being that I had insurance to, I was given a choice for the Amaze as an alternate exchange!!!!!!!!
$5 warrenty processing fee and the Amaze should be here tomorrow, bittersweet as the development isnt as established on the Amaze, so I will have to hold tight for some AOSP build, regardless Im excited
Great deal man. Congrats.
Same here man.. I'm on my 9th dusty ****sation and they offered the Amaze as well. I'm waiting for UPS as we speak.
same here i got mines today
woh so if we are having trouble with our sensation multiple times eventually they'll offer us an amaze?

Good news..actually a blessing as you will at the least get more extended coverage of updates after ours winds down. I doubt we'll see anything past ICS and 2 maintenance updates.
This was my first issue, having insurance allows for alternative exchange offers on warranty exchanges

I think the Amaze is a better phone than the Sensation ( both in looks and hardware ) but honestly i wouldn't sacrifice the larger development section of the sensation! Anyway it's a matter of personal preference! I hope you enjoy your new (beautiful!) phone ! Cheers!

Only 5 dollars? Some rep at the tmo store told me I would have to pay 130 for replacement sensation. Care sharing how you did all this?
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e with Beats Audio using XDA App
did you break the phone? Breaking the phone, you have to go through Asurion and pay the $130 deductable, my issue was a manufacturer issue, which couple with having insurance, costs me a $5 warranty fee

im planning on claiming a loss, but what kind of maufacturer issues are included?
claiming a loss is an insurance claim, thus the $130. Man issues would be anything related to a issue with the phone not physical damage basically. screen goes out, button doesnt work, wont charge (my issue) ect.

alright thanks man, you think theyll let me get through it with the power issues the sensation has been getting? oh and did they make you send in your sensation?
As long as there is no physical or water damage they have to do a warranty on it, and yes you send in the old one

How long ago did you purchased your Sensation ? I'm Wondering if I’m still covered under warranty since I've been having few issues … I got mine the day it came out on T-Mobile USA since i was kinda waiting for it already...
Your covered, you get a year warranty

Are they super big sticklers? She asked me if the phone had scratches and such. And of course there some here and there. But I don't want to charged for the phone with out warning or reasoning. I've never had to do this. I did receive the new phone yesterday. And I haven't switched yet. I guess my question is, has anyone had problems doing warranty through AT&T?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA
I've never had any problems with the warranty guys over at AT&T. I've exchanged many a device even ones I bought from Craigslist. Unless you dropped it in eater or set it on fire you should be good to go.

I've had to do several warranty exchanges through AT&T, and haven't had a problem with minor cosmetic flaws. As long as it hasn't been smashed into a wall or has water damage, you should be fine.
Is it possible to take my thunderbolt and trade it in for the rezound or something? Sorry to say but i''m thinking the thunderbolt is dying out..really enjoyed the phone though.
Depends on how long you have had the phone.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
It was either in march or april that i completed a year, so pretty much around its release date last year.
No you won't be able to just trade it in like that. Verizon does have a new program where you can trade in your device for a set amount of money and use that toward the purchase of a rezound.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
Darn, well do you know how much i can trade it in for?
My screen is cracked though, will they still take it?

They won't give you much considering the screen is cracked. They offered me 73 and mine is brand new lol.

Wow, haha no where near enough for what i need to pay for the rezound haha. well i guess i'll see what happens when i visit the store today, thanks for your help!
After the ICS update my phone has become unstable rebooting when accessing apps and my radios are all messed up dropping 4g and 3g all of the time
After 4 factory resets , today being the most recent factory data reset ,I had enough when my phone starting rebooting trying to make phone calls . Called Verizon to get a replacement no more rezounds so they said we go to the next comparable device and they said a Motorola razr I said no way is a razr on the level of my phone. I told the tech Im better off dealing with my issues , he insisted on sending me the razr said try it and if you don't like it call back and we will try something else to get you going , I felt insulted lol . I just hope its just software related with my phone and nothing hardware in case I need to start putting roms on it ,that was the whole point of getting a replacement , but might have to gamble now hopping its not hardware related .but before ics I was having problems but its worse now. For one no extended battery on the razr . I barley get through the day on my resound with extended battery I'm on my phone a lot with phone calls browsing listening to my music and GPS maps . So yep no more Replacements for now on rezound .

Confirmed.
Hmm...I have been dealing with my screen freezing or the phone going crazy and randomly selecting different things on its own. If I lock and unlock it, the problem is resolved for a bit. Some days it never happens, some days it is intolerable. It has started happening with the camera now after the new update. I wonder if I hold out a bit longer if they will send me whatever new HTC phone comes out in the coming months lol.
waw
Thats really sad actually. Here is why.
1-No we cant do as much testing, which in turn means more devs leaving, which in turn means development coming to a screeching halt. Breaks my heart since this never truly saw the full potential of aosp like my Tbolt did.
2-Only the rezound, s3 and tbolt had surf and talk on 3g. and they sure as hell will not issue an s3 as a replacement, and i sure as hell am not going back to the tbolt after i burned my upgrade on the rezzy
3- I was wiating till the end of my warranty to get a one last rezound to survive the year between the end of my warranty and upgrade eligibility, now that dream is crushed too.
I'm pissed my rezound has like 3 annoying dead pixels

The rep I spoke with was assured that this was only temporary.
The only comparable phone would be the S3, otherwise everything on verizon is a downgrade. NO WAY id settle for a razr, never.
There is always eBay. Last time I checked rezound really wasnt pricey at all
Edit: $160 on eBay clean esn

This is a temporary shortage, I would advise checking back on Monday.
That's strange, I called today Due to 130+ heat issues and they did the same thing "out of stock". Offered me a razor, I told them I want a rezound So he said he will ship one.
Guess I'll wait and see what comes tomorrow
It's my fault, my wife and I have burned through 6 refurbs in the last 2 weeks.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
They have been out for about 2 weeks now, my brother's rezound took a crap and that's all they had then was the razr . Was just in Verizon store they said that right after the update , people have had a lot of trouble with the rezound signal failures, rebooting ,some bricked phones as well . Well we hope its temporary
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda app-developers app
We have a one year warranty on this phone guys. If Verizon won't stand behind it, then their contract is void, and I believe if you made a big enough noise, they would give you one, or upgrade to the gs3. I know that they have declined it up until now, but they can't back out of a warrenty without compensation. When you purchased a Rezound, that's what you bought, not a razor. At the very least I would think if you put pressure on Htc, they would make good on the warranty.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
It should be temporary. When my rezound bricked it took half a week for a replacement rezound to be in stock to ship out.
It's temporarily low in stock, but not discontinued. According to my sources anyway.

Guys just a fyi, I have a cln coming in on Monday. I wasn't offered anything other then a rezound.
Sent from my Rezound using xda app-developers app
Oh I'm not settling for a razr, and like you said I feel the same way I bought a rezound not razr in my eyes they are not even on the same level .I didn't fight today but tmrw is a new day I want another rezound or a real equivalent and not a Motorola device wouldn't care if it was the razr maxx still wouldn't want it , like you said a gs3 ,not a fan of touchwiz but wth. the new incredible 4g is decent but its hard to go to smaller screen and that feels like a downgrade compared to my rezound .

Whats your guys's experience with sending your beats out for replacement by HTC?
How long does the warranty last?
reason I ask is because i have no idea how to start the process lol...

Pretty sure it's a one year warranty. I had no issue exchanging through HTC a couple months ago. I was even late sending in the old pair, they emailed and called a couple times, but never got charged by the time I got them sent back in.

how do you start the warranty process?
Just mailed mine off for warranty replacement 2 days ago lol. Still had a couple weeks left under the 12 month warranty. Just call HTC customer service and tell them what's wrong with the ear buds and they won't hassle you at all. They'll email you the address to send them to and details regarding the process.

What this guy said. I got the number off the HTC USA website.

Thanks guys =)
Use HTC's US website and contact customer service I have exchanged my headphones 3 times they short a lot. In my opinion once the warranty is out on them buy skull candy headphones they sound as good or better the full metal jackets are fantastic and are much less expensive but build quality is much better than the beats. Skullcandy also has a lifetime warranty and do a wonderful job of exchanging them if they short out or any other manufacturer defects. But use that beats warranty till it dies then get the SC's

I had my phone replaced under insurance with a new model about 4 months ago. They replaced my Beats headphones as well, and now I'm in the same boat with broken ones. Does anyone know whether my warranty will hold? I am just over a year since the original purchase. Also, if this is something I contact HTC about and I've unlocked my bootloader (obv voiding the warranty through HTC), will they still honor it? I would imagine so, but if someone has been here before, I'd appreciate some feedback.
ActuallyI am receiving a replacement phone today.. will there be replacement buds as well? And I'm wondering how you got a new replacement.. I was told I could only get refurbished device!

I justed called HTC to replace my beats and I now have to fax in a proof of purchase receipt showing all my info, payment, date of purchase, IMEI, etc. Anyone else have to do this? I purchased my rezound new from verizon on 4/02/2012 so it is still under warranty.
I just received my replacements yesterday, all I had to do was give them my IMEI and they verified I was still under warranty (had a day left on my warranty), and they shipped it out no problem.

I called HTC cust serv about the same issue. My Rezound is a refurb that I got through Asurion when I lost my DInc2. Though the phone was a couple months out of warranty, they went ahead with the replacement. The only difference was that they had me send the defective buds in (making sure to include the pouch/extra pads) before mailing out the replacement.
At first, I called Asurion about this, and they promptly sent me some $10 headset.
