running stock 3.2 yet I'm constantly getting gapp force closes. I have no idea what is causing it.
specifically this force close seems to happen in the browser. It says com.google.process.gapps needs to be force closed
I say you do a factory hard/reset then that should fix it

go into xrecovery and fix permissions then reboot, see if that helps.

Whenever I set my stock internet browser to landscape only, after a restart it force closes whenever I open it. I gather that this is a common problem for gingerbread roms. Has anyone figured out how to fix that?

Greetings everyone,
Just flashed Tachyon ROM on my ReZound. Rom starts up but then I get inundated with non-stop prompts telling me that "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped." I click OK but the prompts pop up over and over again. I can't get any initial setup info into the ROM either due to this, so I never get in and can't get to settings to try any of the already mentioned solutions.
Anyone have any idea how to stop this? I can't even get my WiFi info in to see if that helps due to these prompts.
It's driving me nuts!!!

I wipes (3x) and re-flashed Tachyon. Now seems to work without issue. I guess we can call off the dogs.
Hey guys, I've been wondering: Does anyone else have the feeling that sometimes, the entire Android system and many apps get laggy when the WiFi or mobile data connection you're on is having issues? Google Maps, for instance, frequently lags and/or stops responding (complete with "System UI is not responding. Force close?" pop-up) when I'm in my car on mobile data, but never when I'm at home with stable WiFi.
Has anyone else noticed this? If so, have you found a way to work around the issue?
This problem has plagued me since HTC G1 days and has followed me through the Motorola Droid, HTC Desire, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 5, so I know it's not device- or ROM-specific...
Since Android 6.0 on custom ROMs I get com.android.phone has stopped and restarting. To stop these you need to Deny Phone Permissions of the Contacts app. If then you enable it, it immideatly crashes com.android.phone and restarts the service (signal icon going to No SIM card - No signal - Signal).
Does anyone have this problem?
I can leave with the workaround but this is not a perfect solution. It's happening with every custom ROM I have.
I'm using OpenGApps.
Do you use the latest version of gapps? Can you also try using the Google Phone App?
I'm using Google phone And gapps are latest. This is happening for months and just yesterday I changed ROM
