sooo...verizon contradicts itself? - HTC Rezound

don't flame me, I wanted to make sure I am making the right decision when dropping 650 on a phone.
I got the Gnex. Switched my dead pixeled rezound in for it. I have 30 days to try it out and switch back if it is ****ty. I am not here to start that argument, I am here to ask;
Why must the Rezound bootloader be heavily locked to "protect the network" but the GNex bootloader is so easily unlocked? It slipped my mind how easy it is to unlock the Nexus line... cmd: fastboot oem unlock. bootloader unlocked.
WHAT?! I actually expected the VZN GNex to have some crazy ass bootloader that would be hard to crack like the rezound. Instead it is like every other Nexus phone to unlock. One Command Line entry.
Anyone else not get Verizon's logic? I think if we hound them about the bootloader on this phone, this point should be brought up. How can this phone make the exception, but every other phone cannot?
Also, for those wondering, I love the GNex, but unless they fix the radio, that drops 4G more than a slicked up man holding a slicked up pig, I am dumping this for the rezound no matter the fact it has an unlocked bootloader.

I agreee. We need to hammer them on facebook and via email.

Welcome to Samsung. You didn't swap out the Rezound for having a dead pixel?

kinda besides the point, but no, only had the rezound for 6 days. Knew the nexus was coming out, and wanted to give it a chance. Had 1 dead pixel, ignored it forr the 6 days.

I see. But Sammy phones are infamous for craptacular radios, apparently the Nexus isn't an exception. A lot of people that have it are saying "Great software on sub-mid to mid range hardware.". Hope it works out for you, or you figure out what to do. Best of luck.

Thanks. I probably will come back to the rezound, in the end. I just didn't want to commit, like I did with the bionic, go past my 30 days, to come to find I regret my choice 100%. Atleast this way, if I go to the rezound, I won't be sitting here thinking the GNex is better.
I do love ICS though.

I mean had I had hopes for the Nexus as well but I personally cannot get over a few things on it. #1)It's Samsung (bad radios/cheap build) #2) They didn't go w/ the exynos/mali combo imo then the Nexus would have equal horsepower as the Rezound does. #3.)The pentile submatrix does bother me a lot. I played with my friends Nexus today and the whites are like a plaque/linen yellow. The screen has a blue tinge, but I already know this, as it is to preserve the life of the blue pixel since those tend to die out first. 4.) No SD slot especially since I just bought one of those new microSDXC w/ transfer speeds up to 35MB/s. Other than that the Nexus is an okay device, nothing spectacular about it except for ICS.

1. So true on the craptacular radios... build quality, I like.
2. If Samsung COULD have gone with the Exynos/Mali combo, it would take the Rezound running at 1.8 to have equal horsepower as the Exynos running at 1.2.
3. Oh yeah... PenTILE..... EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
4. Google.

Either phone will be the best choice for your $650. They have their pros and cons. I love Sense and can't stand pure vanilla Android. That's why I have a Rezound. Sit back and think about what you want in a phone. I won't flame you either way. It's YOUR money that will be buying the phone, not anybody else's.
Good luck to you.

So maybe I'm along, but I have way more issues with my rezound radio than my GN.

Did this just drop right in and work on the Rezound?

Heard that the dropped 4g/3g radio issues are Verizon -related not the phone. That's what I have noticed on my RAZR as well as Rezound.
I definitely think the Rezound has better overall build quality than the Nexus.
One big factor for me was loosing the dedicated search and menu keys.

What Instead of TBolt?

If the latest rumors are true and we won't be seeing a TBolt for a while .... what else are you guys looking forward to?
I like what we have had in the rootability of the HTC line up, hoping to stay w/them, but just curious to what else you guys/gals have been looking at in addition to this?
I think this was the only phone i was really looking forward too... but now I may have to reconsider after todays news..
The "stealth" looks ok but I dont want another phone with hard keys ( coming from X)
Then there is the Bionic... lol yeah right unless moto goes the route of the Xoom or there is a breakthough in bypassing by then.
The top LG phone is going GSM at first I hear.. will be a while till we see a version.
Same with the Galaxy 2, Gonna be gsm at first...
This really sucks.
I'm not leaving VZW and nothing else that we know is coming appeals to me like the TBolt. Hopefully they will get their crap together sooner rather than later. Sometimes being first (lte phone) is frustrating and disorganized.

I was really hoping the Thunderbolt would be released this month. I guess ill be holding off for the Bionic now to see how they compare...i really like the webtop app and hope that Motorolas statement about it being included in all high end smartphones includes the bionic.
Does anyone know how the modified blur on the bionic compares to the standard blur?

Every review I've read says that the webtop is slow and frustrating with the Atrix. The Bionic is suppose to have half the ram, doubt it will be included at all or we would have heard about it.

I almost made a thread like this. I have been considering exploring other options since the Thunderbolt release didn't go as expected. The Thunderbolt seems like an almost perfect device, but may have some flaws or setbacks. Possible issues with battery, 4G, Skype, and no Netflix. Granted, I don't believe they ever said it would have Netflix, but it would have been nice. And an HDMI port! I still can't get over that one. Why would you not put one on there, every other powerhouse phone has one.
Some other similar phones coming to Verizon to consider would be the Droid Bionic, LG Revolution, and the Samsung 4G phone.
Here is a video comparing the 4 phones. I think the guy may have some of his specs mixed up, but it is a good side by side.

But the thing is just the wait for all these other phones is gonna be that much longer. I doubt another one will be out the gate before TB because it's already been advertised as our first. Don't get me wrong, I'll love HTC and Android forever, but the wait is just making me want to jump ship to the Palm Pre 2. Laugh all you want, but it's pretty much the next option for me from what's currently available.

Is MotoBlur the Moto desktop/launcher on phones? My BF has the DroidPro and when I mess around w/his phone I don't notice anything really different about how it operates - but I think I remember reading someplace that the Pro doesn't have Blur.
If it is a desktop/launcher, can't folks just replace it w/LPro or ADW or something?
I must be way off on what Blur actually is? (and I'm running late and too lazy to search at the moment, lol).

It's not that the other phones will be released before the TB, it's that they will be released not long after now. Since the release dates are now pretty close to each other, would it be worth it to wait for a different phone?
The LG Revolution should be Q2 the last I heard. It has a 4.3" screen, HDMI out, and should have Netflix out of the box. It will also be the first voLTE to Verizon, making it as some people call it, a "true" 4G phone.
While the phone does has a front facing camera, the back camera is only a 5MP and single LED flash. No kickstand. Since it is an LG, it will lack a good interface like Sense, or even Motoblur. LG normally builds quality phones though.
I'm giving up. Going to get a Droid 1, root and customize it. I'll use that and decide if I even want Verizon's service at this point.

metropcs has been selling lte phones for a few months now. but maybe not in your area....
As for leaving VZW i did that and got a galaxy s 4g on tmobile. i loved the price, and the speed when near a 4g tower.. however i still recieved dropped calls.. (the onle smart phone that did that to me on vzw was the iphone) and the 4g coverage is horrible and the speed is erratic in good coverage areas..
I had a falling apart droid 1 that I bought on launch day and needed something new I ended up getting a droid x off ebay and loading a custom rom and done.. now i feel i have plenty of time to wait out a decent lte phone... most of the other lte phones on vzw are scheduled to launch in second QTR so really the next 3 months...
I am going to wait for a little bit now...
I still have my D1 rooted, overclocked, customized, etc. But the thing is so outdated it lags with all the crap I have loaded on it. This puts me in a crappy situation because my contract has been up since january. I was waiting on this as my next phone. If I could find a cheap phone (aka under $50 D2, Dinc or DX), I would use that for the time being for the next few months. I just almost feel like I'm wasting time because I could have started the 2 year countdown for another phone by now.
red, i played with the atrix today, and while BLUR still blows nutt juice that phone had a sex like screen if you will and blur ran buttery smooth compared to the droid x or 2, it never studdered or got choked up and although quadrant doesnt tell you much, i watched the 3d test and the FPS where off the freakin charts sometimes i saw well over 100 and it maintained a constant 60+ easily, given this phone had absolutely no apps running or even installed other than att ****ware. i was truly impressed and downloaded a couple of games while i played with it, the tegra really shines on graphic intensive stuff, i also played with the docking unit and while ive read production units dont have multi touch the display did and i must say that it was impressive. first time i have been impressed with moto that much since november of 09 with the droid 1. Hopefully when we get some rock solid info on the bionic it will have the 1gb of ram and not 512, in talking to some knowledgeable peeps about they seem to think that this could be possible since it will be basically the same as the atrix and they seemed to think that the 512mb of ram was a misprint or just a wrong quote entirely, if so, i may say **** it and go with the locked bootloader just to have such a kick ass phone. the camera was either really impressive or the screen just made it look that good, all around i would say that the the atrix is currently the most dominant phone in the android world. galxy s2 looks nice but ive already fell for that once with the fascinate(btw is still eclair in stock for FYI) but still uses the over saturated SAMOLED with the same resolution something like 800x480 and that is getting to be old news especially after playing with atrix today, if you lose hope on the bolt, the bionic will def be a winner in my book bootloader and all. screw it................well maybe not with the bootloader, depends whether i get a semi when i play with it or not the first time.
No offense to eris owners, but if you really want to give up and set the bar extremely low so you will be satisfied with any new phone you get, i suggest get an eris. lol i laugh at people who say their rooted eris will smoke the DInc, ive owned both, and if i stuck a rocket up the micro usb port on the eris it still couldnt catch the trusty old DInc. Now, back to the search for strippers and cocaine
Yeah the 512 ram on the Bionic is a turn off. I thought it was supposed to have 1gb, but motorolas website says 512. It seems like most of verizons phones always fall short of the other networks counterparts. Even my HTC Touch Pro had less ram than all the other Touch Pros on every network.

yeah.. that is what i did ... except I went to the droidX so that I could get familiar with the 4.3inch size... I am very happy with this ... I have it rooted and am running the fission rom which is fast and stable. I came from a droid 1 that i purchased on launch day ... and it was starting to fall apart.. (no more sliders for me).... although I like the samsung galaxy s 4g i was concerned it did not have a message indicator light. I also stopped by an att store and played with an atrix and it was pretty sweet for the few minutes i spent with it...
either way it does look like another 3 months before we have any real phones from vzw ... I still think they are delaying these phones until they have there new lte pricing laid out... I don't think for a minute they will have unlimited lte on anything.

It'll either be a DInc, stay w/my Eris and keep working w/Tazz's fine ROM's or buy a B&N Nook Color and hack it (because I CAN! lol). I feel the need to spend $$ (I don't have) for no reason
EDIT: Out of curiosity, why would somebody buy a phone on eBay w/a bad ESN? I see phones FS on there w/bad ESN's and wondering what you would do with one? Just use it for development or parts?
You can usually use those phones on cricket and other services like that. Some people also buy them for parts.

I was able to get any phone with Verizon (work), it was either the Rezound or Nexus S. I choose the Rezound with the signal issues people were having with the GNx.
I have had the phone for 3 days now, fully rooted, and love it. Plus the $100 headphones are a nice bonus
I will say, Samsung phones have a screen that beats out every other phone I have seen. Their colors are just awesome. I believe they use some different type of LCD technology, at least someone told me that.
I had the GNEX for about a week, I traded my iphone4 16gb + cash for it, and it just wasn't for me, no matter how hard I tried. It was too big, the signal was just horrible. At home, I would be at around -80-90dBm while with the Rezound I am at -69-79dBm just like I was with my Inc2.
The picture is nice on the GNEX, but the screen scratches very easily, and the auto brightness was unusable, so that ate the battery up quite fast for me.
I was very happy to find someone to trade their Rezound for the GNEX.
HTC Sense is amazing. I like to have the mobile data, or wifi turn off while the phone is at sleep state, with the GNEX I couldn't even get one day out of the battery but the Rezound I can do a day and a half easily thanks to this.
Beats audio is great, and the headphones kick butt.
The Rezound is a very well built machine, HTC unlocked the bootloader and with the guarantee of ICS coming, that just adds the extra cherry on top!

Thinking about going to the Rezound. question..

Im coming from the HTC evo from sprint. Im on my way over to Verizon. Im interested in both the Rezound and the nexus...
Is there a reason to choose the REzound over the nexus? It doesnt seem like the Rezound has full root/s-off etc etc right? Is it a matter of time, or do they have this thing locked down?
Rezound have radio lock thats all
Rezound is faster and has alotttt stronger signal. Basically, HTC owns samsung

I was all about the nexus but after being burned so often by buying and trying to justify my purchase waited and was about to buy a rezound till I got it as a replacement and its awesome. I love this phone so far. Great camera, It's really quick, screen is amazing and its the perfect size
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA
I came from the EVO as well. It was this or nexus, I chose this for the better camera and beats, which I can't go without now. Plus the free headphones. Only selling point of the nexus is ics but a senseless Rom gives a close experience which should get better in time. Plus sense 3.6 is cool and miui is in progress as well as sense 4.0
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA
Came from Evo 4G on Sprint as well. Went through 2 Nexus's before giving up and getting the Rezound. Signal and call quality on the Nexus was horrendous. I would hear about every third word the caller was saying which made for some pretty interesting conversations.
The ONLY advantage to the Nexus is the ease of "tweaking" it but I un-locked, flashed a recovery, and flashed a rooted ICS Rom on my Rezound in about 10 minutes.
Get the Rezound ... NO BRAINER
IMHO
Edit: BTW ... The return rate of the Nexus is upwards of 20% according to my Verizon Rep. She told me she wished they would pull it off the market.
I came on over from the Evo 3d and I love the Rezound and coverage so much I've yet to root it. This phone has almost cured my flashism. Though I'm on vacation this week, I might get in on the rooting and madness on this side of town soon.

Thanks guys.. Im hesistant with the Nexus because IVe heard about samsung not rolling out updates etc etc as fast as they should.
Rezound vs GNex
I poured over this decision back in December. I opted for the rezound because it has an sd card slot and the GNex doesn't. The camera and processor are also superior. I have mine OC's to 1.8 GHz. It is saddled with s-on though. HTC allows users to unlock the bootloader but we cannot flash radios and kernels directly via recovery. It must be done in the bootloader or via fastboot. Not the end of the world but not as easy as an s-off device. This nut seems to be a tough one to crack too. A few devs have been at it since December but no joy
Once we get cm9 the nexus will be a thing of the past.

What do you mean by that?
editeD: lolwut I got it now haha fail.
Look, I'm not expert by any means, but I feel I need to chime in. I have owned both phones. The Nexus was probably the sweetest phone I thought I ever had.. Everything seemed to work flawlessly. After a few days I constantly had problems with the Battery, Signal strength and SOUND. Let me explain. ICS was awesome IMO. It worked great and was a really nice change. But that was the only thing that was nice on it. The roms that are coming out now for the Rezound by far make this the best phone I've ever owned. Speed, picture, ICS and I personally like Sense. SO for me to give anyone advice it would easily be GO REZOUND!!
BTW.. Ask this question in the Nexus forum, and I guarantee you'll get a different response. So basically, you need to go in the store, and give yourself 20 minutes to mess around with both phones. Just keep in mind that Samsung has a reputation as having terrible radios. Be sure to listen to the sound on both. And take a look at the resolution and clarity.. A few youtube videos should do it for ya! ALSO, the fact that you get a nice set of ear phones.
I just got the rezound last week and love it. I'm coming from a sensation 4g this is a lot better phone than that is. Plus now we have an ics leak that your phone doesn't have to be rooted is sweet. And when the official ota drops you can still update

Don't think. Just buy a rezound.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
I faced the same decision, and I went for the Rezound. The camera, reception, and overall build quality of this phone is better than that of the Nexus. I really don't like Sense, and that almost made me go for the Nexus, but software is upgradable and hardware isn't. I'm currently running a senseless ROM (XTreme's), which isn't AOSP, but it's close. It seems like there is being progress with ROMs completely lacking sense (MIUI is being worked on and apparently has RIL in-tact), and once CM9 gets its RIL issues fixed, my phone will feel complete. Even without that, I am very happy with this phone. The screen is amazing, even when compared to a Samsung device (Nexus). The battery life isn't great, but it is an LTE device... I never get signal drops, and I'm always on 4G.
okay well with that being said, what do you guys loose not having s-off?

Not much. It makes it more difficult to flash kernels, but it is still relatively easy using adb or just your phone. You can't flash radios (well at least without being relocked), which I think is the major downside of s-off. Also, unlocking through the HTCDev method won't let you go back to complete factory stock (without the bootloader saying relocked), so if Verizon happened to check, they can see that you MAY have voided PARTS of your warranty (not a big deal).
hmm Seems like its too much bull**** to deal with...

It's really not that bad. Choose the phone you want to go with, but don't let that sway you too much. We may not have as many developers and ROMs as the Nexus, but we have some really great devs. And flashing ROMs and kernels really doesn't take noticeably longer without s-off, and becomes second nature
If you want stock ICS go Nexus.
If you want better screen, eventual Sense ICS (AOSP probably won't be possible until we can get s-off I think), and removable SD card go Rezound.
I've been a stock Android fan since the original Droid, but I've really grown to like Sense and Sense 4.0 looks even better. I do want an eventual AOSP.

Worth Changing to Gnexus?

I have gone through 9 replacements trying to get the right phone over the last couple of months and am getting tired of it, what's everyone's opinion about switching to the nexus? I have to admit CM9* and MIUI are a big plus.
i just got a nexus and i love it, battery life seems alot better too. i will say the design of the rezound is better though.
I traded my nexus for my rezound a while ago and never looked back.
love this phone.
the nex is nice, but sense is what I like, I also found the overall build to be better on the rezound, (usually is with HTC..)
I came from a nexus for 2 reasons... 1) The radios are terrible on the Nexus. In my house, my wife has a Thunderbolt and I had the Nexus. Side by side, she would have 3 or 4 bars of 4G, me on the Nexus, like 2 bars of 3G or 1x. also the build quality is much superior to the Nexus. 2, I Luke the challenge of rooting lol. I had a Rezound before but I never rooted it. Traded for the GNex when it came out. I feel its an overall better experience with my rezound. If Ur looking to easily root and have a plethora of dev support, get the Nexus. If u like better radios and built quality, stick with the Rezound.

I traded my GNex for a Rezound and the only thing I missed was ICS. This was my first Sense phone and I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. Turns out I really like it. Weird that you've had 9 lemons.. Mine has been flawless

I have gone through 9 replacements trying to get the right phone over the last couple of months and am getting tired of it, what's everyone's opinion about switching to the nexus? I have to admit CM7 and MIUI are a big plus.

I partially agree although I haven't had the best experience with the build quality on the rezound....
Traded my nexus for a rezound also. Gnex battery life sucks, camera sucks, and the phone is to big to hold in hand.

love this phone.
the nex is nice, but sense is what I like, I also found the overall build to be better on the rezound, (usually is with HTC..)

this(except for the liking sense part ).
i traded my gnex for a dev rezound(and then an s-off method popped up )
ive actually got 2 of them.since i could s-off my first one, i keep the dev phone put up for emergencies.
ive found the rezound to be of the same quality as all other htc phones ive had. i drive for a living, and my phone rides around all day with me,sometimes getting to 120+ degrees if i leave it on the seat in the sun. ive flashed it,s offed it twice, flashed the crap out of it some more, dropped it,and in general abused the crap out of it.
i loved stock ICS and wanted to love the gnex since it it googles proprietary phone, but to me it felt cheap and plasticy.
after 9 phones,i think you are overly critical and should move on to another device that may make you happier.

I was thinking the same thing.
We have probably 10 rezounds on our corporate account & only one has had to be replaced.
I can't even imagine how you could legitimatelly have 9 defective devices in a row..........

It has happened to me with Motorola phones. I am pretty sure it has something to do with the refurbishment process.

I have NEVER sent a phone back due to pink buttons, no matter how much I dislike them. The first four were when I first got the phone, since I came from a droid charge and was comped this I got a refurb. First one had dead pixels, second one had the hissing audio jack, third one had a giant scratch on the screen, fourth one had a blown speaker, the fifth one was just right. Fast forward five months my "just right" phone would go through an extended and a stock battery in 12 hours, completely stock, never unlocked. I was annoyed and got a replacement. The first replacement was fine for a week and then went nuclear on my battery (literally got so hot that the stock battery bloated (yes I know that means the battery also went bad) It almost did the same thing to my extended as well. Fast-forward to yet another phone and this time battery as well, everything seems fine except for the giant scratch on the screen, I swear ti was in the same spot as the one from five months before. Then the next phone, got it, s-off'd it, working perfectly for two days except for pink buttons but **** it, and then I realized I've never made a call with it. Called my father and sure enough the damn speaker is broken, yes I tried on different ROMS and completely stock just to make sure, I know what a blown speaker sounds like. Now I'm on the ninth phone which seems okay for now but I'm still endlessly frustrated with the damn things. Plus I love MIUI. I just wish the build quality was better on the gnexus and I hate samsung's placement of ****ing buttons. It's like they expect you to have the hands of a 4 year old and be able to hit the awkward side button while it's in your hand.
I think everyone who leaves this phone just to get AOSP is crazy... Eventually it will come. In the meantime, there are lots of great roms to try out in the meantime. If you have other problems, I completely understand. But cmon.... Just for a rom?

I mean it's all about opinion. I could see me leaving a Samsung phone if I wanted sense more or aosp if it wasn't available.
But it sounds like you should give the Gnex a go OP. What's the worst that could happen? You just come back.

i agree completely. im not a sense fan either, but IMO this is still good harware and worth the wait. like you said, lots of great roms in the mean time. scotts dev edition is an awome "best of both worlds" rom with the ICS theme,no sense launcher or widgets, yet the "prettiness" of the stock menu and pulldown. im enjoying it alot.
it helps that i can run a pretty functional cm9 on my sensation while i wait

Completely agree, their bootloader is WAY less fun. At least, if it's anything like the fascinate and the charge it consists of a down arrow with a yellow android that looks pretty while you use odin to flash everything since their bootloader is half-assed.
I also would like to say that I do love our devs, and this is not meant and is not me being frustrated with them, simply my luck with regards to getting a functioning device which has lead to a lot of frustration. Regardless of if I switch I still have another rezound that I have access to and can use whenever so I will still be active in this community... I am simply asking the opinions of people who have or have had both devices (IE Scotty). Hell I would take a shot at deving if I had the time, I have experience with linux and coding in Java and Lua. Anyway I do understand the frustration when people post things like the "HAHA I SOLD MY REZOUND *****ES" thread (my translation of the title) where they seem to be bragging/flaming rather than actually trying to consult the community.
I would like to say I don't particularly appreciate the assumptions that my devices could not have possibly needed to be replaced that many times legitimately. I just have had terrible luck with the replacements themselves, almost all have arrived defective if you read my explanation above. I have never bricked a phone and I'm not particularly fond of some of the stories where people go "ops I bricked it, lawls, hey Verizon my phone is dead send me a new one because I ****ed the damn thing up and enjoy committing fraud."

its a little better than that. you can use fastboot to do a few things, but it was still pretty devoid of any user interface, unlike hboot. radios were flashed in recovery. you unlock it pretty much just like the rezound, with exception that you dont need a token just fastboot oem unlock anhd voila you have access to everything.

Exchanged for GS3

Not that anyone cares, but I'm wondering if I'm one of the few that purchased a dinc 4g on release day and later exchanged for a gs3. After having the dinc 4g for a little over a week, I just felt that it had VERY little of anything extra over the original dinc that I was carrying, and the excitement really faded quickly.
I'm sure pretty soon I'll grow really tiresome of touchwiz and the extra gimmicky samsung stuff on the phone and will take some time to learn how to root and mod the phone.

So you never tried rooting the inc 4g? It's bootloader is unlockable. Don't act like its a bad phone. You don't know how to unleash its potential

Some issues with that right now. HTC is no longer allowing it. Waiting on their official response some time today or tomorrow.

Sure there is not much difference between the orig dinc and the inc4g, but I would say there is even less difference between the inc4g and the SG3.
They are running the same CPU and GPU. The cameras are different hardware but I think they are about the same. Inc4g seems to have a better lens but the SG3 MAY have a better sensor/chip.
I guess it depends on opinion.
I would say if you like a larger screen and/or TouchWiz, the the GS3 is the right phone. If you like a smaller screen and/or sense, than the Inc4g is the right phone. Otherwise I don't see much else to compare.

Exactly, I sold my Rezound and used my upgrade on this phone because it has a 4' display and I don't see Verizon matching anything close to that soon. I am in high hopes that HTC comes out with a new phone that isn't large than 4.3
any larger than 4.3' is no longer a phone to me. and I personally cannot use it.
I really love this phone.:good:

im weird with screen sizes: 4.0 is perfect for me phone wise...but...i could see myself getting a note sized device as a hybrid so i dont need to have a tablet too
would get annoyed when using it to actually talk on the phone, but id deal w/ the trade off
I was considering doing this exchange in OP but i can't stand physical keys. Only majpr gripe with inc4g is that they made the screen narrower and taller instead of keeping the same ratio, but o understand this is due to qhd resolution.
Oh, and creaky battery cover bothers me too.
