So I love my new Prime except that I am having a problem being able to use the stock calendar app. It WILL NOT open. Every time I try to open it it says:
Sorry!
The application Calendar (process.com.android.calendar) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Force Close
I have rebooted several times, installed all of the recent firmware updates etc and it still won't work. Every ASUS tablet I have owned has done this. I have had zero problem using the calendar on my Galaxy Nexus or any other android tablet such as the Galaxy tab 8.9 or Motorola Xoom. Any ideas why this is happening?

Did you try clearing out data in manage apps of the calendar app?
Thanks! That worked and everything is working as normal. I'll remember that if it happens again.

Using Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Android market if I try to install any app, it works like this:
10% of the time the app is installed immediately.
10% of the time the app is installed after 2-5 minutes
80% of the time the app is not installed at all, but the "waiting to install" message is just displayed for eternity. But if I go to the My apps page I can see the app I'm trying to install in the "not installed" section. If I select it there and click on install, it's installled immediately. So all in all I'm just hitting download and then go immediately to my apps not installed section to install it from there without any further delays.
This cannot be by design! Please help. All the relevant ports the Market App uses are open and forwarded in the router to the galaxy tab.
market update stopped working, have 28 updates queued

Exactly the same problem on my GT 10.1, the message "Waiting to install" hangs forever way too often when I try to install an app.
Didn't know about the trick with "Not installed", thanks for that.
What market version are you running? I had persistent issues after installing 3.20
I have the same issue
I'm using 1.0.28, the official latest version for the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Use "old market" to revert to pre 3.2 market. But 3.3 works fine for me... s

may be due to slowness in internet. try with high speed internet.
It's on a 32Mbit cable line. Downloading with the Android Browser gives 4 MBytes / second.
I also have this problem! I keep getting disconnected from google talk too. I wonder if these problems are related, since I've heard they both use the same connection to google's servers.
Just to add to the general mess here ... I'm also having the same issue.
Only after restard (sometimes after wifi reset) am I able to download.
I think I've fixed the problem. My mother's google account was associated with a hotmail address. After making a gmail address (from the same google account), she seems to not get disconnected from google talk anymore (after using it to log in) . If your google account doesn't use gmail, try making a gmail address and login with that!
I've had this problem since I got the tab (about 4 months ago) and of course it's had various updates since, none of them fixing the market issue. All I do is cancel the download and try again. this can take several attempts but eventually it works.
One of my favorite apps, StylishGirl, now force closes any time I try to launch it. This started as soon as I upgraded to Honeycomb. I thought it my be incompatible with Honeycomb, but I was able to get it to run on a demo Samsung Tab 10.1. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can get it to run again? What on earth could the issue suddenly be?
Hey, I've installed chrome some time a go, and it worked great... But since a while, it closes immediately after touching the shortcut. When I try to report it to google, play store does the same.
I have an 4.0.4 tab with changed LCD-Density...
Thanks in advance...
I received the OTA-update (XXEMC2) last sunday. Since then certain apps don't work any more: Opening a mail with images in gmail resets me back to my home screen, trying to open "google now" does the same, as does opening instagram, linkedin,... It even remains the same after resetting my phone to factory defaults. :crying: Does anybody know how to resolve this? Thanks!
I have done a new flash with Samsung KIES and now it's working normally again. Anyway, switching to Nexus 4, as I already ordered it this morning!
I am getting, "unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped." after installing Facebook. Normally in the past I would clear "Contact Storage", reset and the problem was solved.
On Android 5.0 and this tablet this doesn't work, I have even removed Facebook and the problem still persist.
I have even went into Recovery and cleared cache but the problem still persist. I haven't even rooted the device, any suggestions?
Try factory resetting. I know its a pain but it may be your only option.

I am hoping to avoid that! I was just throwing it out in case someone has a solution.
Edit: Solution is I had 'Outllook' App Installed, once I removed it and rebooted, The error disappeared. I still can't get Facebook to work, I have a feeling it is the new Gmail, Calendar, Contacts Sync Transport is causing the issue, just have to wait for an update.
I encountered the same problem but uninstalling the outlook.com app didn't help. I also tried all the ideas which seemed to work for android 4.4 and older without success. I even factory resetted my device, but (I assume) after I reinstalled all my apps again, the problem came up again too. The message of the stopped android.process.acore shows up more or less randomly but I can force it when I try to open contacts. First time the problem occurred was after I updated to Lollipop manually and rooted my Nexus 7 (2013). Any other ideas how to get rid of this dreaded problem?
Same problem here
The problem came back, I assume it has something to do with the new gmail, contacts and calendar apps? I have to keep deleting apps that show up under Accounts until I can load Contacts app without error message showing up again.
After a factory reset and upgrade to Android 5.0.1 the bug or whatever, seems to be gone. Maybe just the update will help too?

I recently got this issue. Booting into Safe Mode and running only Google apps I have no problems. Some 3rd party app is messing with the Google Contacts app.
5.1 solves this issue! Got the update on my Nexus 7 2013, no more error message. I returned the N9, but will repurchase now that 5.1 seems stable.

5.1 seems stable on the Nexus 9? Where did you hear that?
