How to go back to HC 3.2.1? - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Screwed up my screen display after updating to ICS. Does anybody know how to go back to original HC? ICS is total failure and seem lagging more than HC.

Can't move or remove apps from main screens

Just what it says. I'm running Vegan Gingerbread rom and Clemsyn kernal. I just got the tab today and it was working great earlier, but now apps seem to be stuck on the main page :/
Any idea what the deal is?
Re-flashed the rom and it took care of the problem, just in case anyone runs into the same problem in the future.
Go to setting of your launcher and unlock your home screen. At some point, you probably locked your home screen without knowing it. Re-flashing seems a bit extreme.

Feedback on new HC 3.55.405.1 Leak

Anyone tried the new HC release 3.55.405.1 available in Globatron's thread (link below) ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1358758
I would like to know what improvements changes exist in comparison to the version HC 3.48.405.1
The problems I have in version HC 3.48.405.1 are:
MyBackup Pro force closes on open.
Dolphin HD freezes and needs to be force closed from time to time.
I have heard of other issues related to the Stylus but I don't use it so I don't know of them.
I would like to hear some feedback on anyone who has tried the new HC release.
Thanks
On initial reviews it is the same. Maybe a little smoother but probably placebo. Benchmarks are a little higher. Have not played too much yet. Can report more later
thank you, I will probably load it tonight when I get home from work myself but was hoping to get some idea of the changes before applying the new version.
The fact that I can't use MyBackup Pro means I might have to reinstall everything which I would rather not do. Did you do a full wipe before upgrading or just apply the new ZIP over the old one? (keep Data partitiion)
It gets wiped in ruu flash
Hi,
I've just updated to the 3.55.405.1 release. For me it is a much better release (so far) than any of the previous HC leaks.
I've a need to run an IBM branded application on my device. This works fine on GB but I've been unable to make it work on any of the prior HC leaks.
IBM had looked at the problem and claimed it was a HTC issue. Now with this latest leak the IBM application not only installs and runs successfully, but I notice that it even the UI has changed slightly as it has become 'aware' that it's on HC.

I'm running the new HC leak and still need to force close Dolphin HD at times...haven't used the pen extensively.
Other than that it seems to work well. I was able to install Airdroid which I couldn't on the previous leak.
HC is definitely a nice change from gingerbread. Makes the Flyer feel more like a tablet than a big phone. Very refreshing.

Thanks for the infos, still no calls?

Standard GB

Hi,
I have a flyer 16Gb wifi... it is awesome !
It is currently running GB - totally stock.
There is an upgrade to HC. But I have some queries before pressing the GO button :-
1. Is there anything that I should do prior to upgrade to ease any future downgrade or rooting.
2. Is it easy to go back if the HC turns out to be "pants".
Thanks....
Deag
I would probably recommend running through this thread if you think you may want to revert later.

[Guide][Flyer]Honeycomb S-OFF, Easy Install, Recovery and Root. [US Wifi Added]
So far, I'm absolutely loving HC. It DOES take some getting used to after using GB for such a long time, but once you get the hang of it, it's a MUCH better experience! Aside from a few apps not working properly (or at all in some cases) the performance and tab experience is much better...
My tab's Flyer than yours (unless this is posted in a Flyer thread... Then it's just as Flyer...)

Thanks bud. Just don't wanna do something that I can't later undo !

Sluggish - htc say not a problem

I have made the mistake of upgrading my flyer to HC
It is slower than GB ... I have just spoken to HTC re downgrading back to GB and they say its not possible and I could send my flyer in for a repair but it would be re loaded with HC
I have told the chap I spoke with that there seems to be a problem with HC as some users on xda have issues . he says its not a fault htc know about
Question is there anything I can do to speed up HC .. I have factory reset
I dont wanna downgrade back to GB as I have only got the flyer today
and dont want to void my warranty ....... I actually do like HC but the sluggishness is a not good
Thanks
Some people tend to have issues with lag and responsiveness on HC, while other don't. Some people have even commented that performance on HC is better. On mine, the response seems nearly identical to GB. Maybe some things a a tiny bit faster, while others a tiny bit slower, but hardly even perceptible. Considering the fact that HC has more animations and other eye candy, but still as snappy and responsive as GB, means to me that its chugging along quite well.
Did you do the official OTA upgrade to HC? It just seems notionally to me that the official OTA is causing more sluggish response than globatron's method. But its just a hunch.
You might wait a day or 2 to let the OS settle in, things might improve. But otherwise, I don't think there is anything you can do to speed it up.
Yes, it looks like you have to use HTC Unlock and void your warranty, in order to downgrade (according to globatron's guide). So it looks like your biggest mistake was probably updating via the OTA, instead of rooting and using globatron's method to upgrade. In that case, you can still return the device to stock and HTC would never know you rooted (warranty still intact)>

I'm using the stock OTA HC upgrade, and mine is not sluggish compared to Gingerbread in the slightest. Like you said, it's easily just as fast, if not slightly faster.
I wonder if the people reporting sluggishness on HC did a factory reset upon installing the update. Doing a factory reset and clearing everything out always helps to avoid potential issues with updates, especially major OS updates like HC. Sure you're technically not supposed to have to and it's a chore to re-install everything, but I've always found that it makes quite a positive difference.
It seems to have settled my problem is im comparing to my galaxy note whuch is the mega wrong thing do do. my first 6hrs with my flyer im impressed fingers crossed we get ics
Ive only found five apps whuch arent compatible so im impressed

If that is the case I would suspect it is only due to the data being wiped. I don't have anything in my procedures that in any way changes performance. It is literally just stock HC with root+busybox.

New tablet at 2.3.3 is update straight to honeycomb?

So I bought a htc flyer on 2.3.3 and an Evo view with 2.3.4.
I am installing one in my car and am gonna use other as basic everyday tablet.
I have to update one to honeycomb as the dash trim will cover the physical buttons and honeycomb puts them on-screen. Just not sure what one I will put in the car yet. Evo views radio would help with gps i think.
Just wondering if I update the firmware does it go from 2.3.3 to honeycomb or does it have to step-up like first update goes to 2.3.4 and so on.

When I got my Flyer a few days ago, it did two OTA updates and is on 2.3.4. It says the Honeycomb 3.2 update is available but I'm not going to apply that because I want to keep the touch buttons on the bezel.
Unless you use a pen for input there is really no benefit to upgrade to HC IMHO.

Im not really into honeycomb for it either.
But Since im installing in the cars dash and the bezel buttons will be under the trim I need the on screen buttons. But at same time someone talked about gps problems in honeycomb, and thats its main use in the car.
Isn't there an app to put the back, home buttons on screen?
Maybe thats best bet
Go for it, GingerBread blows like a big old cell phone IMHO
Ive seen a few posts of GPS problems with honeycomb, now im leary about it. Thats a big reason why im installing it, for built in gps
I upgraded to honeycomb and I"m glad I did. I'll give HTC credit for modifying gingerbread to the point that it worked better on a tablet, at least what little I saw of it, but overall it's just not meant for a tablet. Honeycomb gives the tablet a much more "windows" look, and many apps are altered for it, and I like the virtual buttons better anyway.
As far as updating, it ran 2 GB updates on mine, one for sense I think, and the other was a security update.
For me HC is better because I can maximize stylus for taking note, etc..
I still missed the HW Buttons, althouh Leedroid rom activate the HW buttons but still not perfect (does not work on portrait)

No problems at all on View on honeycomb and my GPS. I use copilot all the time on it. I am completely stock.
