Hi everybody, my first post here....
I've got my Prime a few days ago, loving it so far.
I noticed every time I want to move around icons or remove them from my screen by holding it down and drag them to the top I feel a very light VIBRATION.
I can remember if this was setup by default when I got the prime with ICS or if somehow I changed something and enabled this.
Just want to know if this can be turn off since I don't really need to feel the vibration every time I decide to customize my screens.
FYI: Under Sound - System
Vibrate on Touch is uncheck
Thanks in advance
No way to turn it off completely.

I was looking around to see if there was a way to have my roocase turn my screen on and off. I know the cover had magnets in it and I could also use the light sensor but haven't found an app. Does anyone know if it can be done?

whats wrong with just setting the screen to turn off sooner, or hitting the top button before closing the case?
Here we go :

I completely understand your need, the power button is really hard to find and press with a case.

Did you get it to work?
Doesn't seem to work for me.

Ho doesn't work for me either. Gonna implement that in one of my apps and share it here, all the other ones I found in the market aren't free :/
Edit 1:
Ok looks like the prime doesn't have a proximity sensor, that's why it doesn't work with other apps. Implementing it with the light sensor instead
Edit 2:
Publishing tomorrow afternoon (GMT +1)

Awesome. Be nice to have.

Ok so the missing proximity sensor is not the only problem, the screen also seem to not turn off with the common approaches, I'll let you guys know when I get something to work.
The panel will just sporadically begin to look very oversaturated and look like this:

I got nothing. Any thoughts of anything I can do before I go return it?

Not sure what your pointing out with that image, but if your talking about the ghosting .. where the icons are still slightly visable after moving to a flat background colour then its pretty normal...
Image persistence like that after less that five minutes is not normal.
Power saving mode I'm guessing? And you need a better camera -.-"
Make a copy of your home screen by long pressing the previous app button in the task bar and post that.

A screenshot won't show any LCD issues?

Balanced; when it does it, I do a cold boot and it's still there. And the camera? For a phone it's way up there.

Its normal on the transformer prime and the transformer ...
You wont even see it when using it normally.
If its bugging you, take it back, but i can assure you its pretty normal as far as i'm concerned.

I dunno, my Transformer never did anything like this.
I think the TFP saw what phone you were using and decided it didn't like you anymore. On a serious note that amount of screen burn isn't normal as mine doesn't do it at all. I know that i had two bright spots on my tab as if an led back light was too close to the screen and I thought I could live with it. 2 months later I sent it in last week for RMA I just couldn't deal with it. Since you just got it I would suggest an exchange at place of purchase before going to the RMA department which is a big PITA as you will see from some other threads.
Oh this certainly exists. If you don't see it, you need your eyes checked. I just ignore it, doesn't effect my experience.
I've only had an issue like this sometimes, but the stuff from the previous screen would go away in a few seconds. I'm not sure why yours is there for 5 minutes
Thanks for your input guys, took it back this morning. Walked out with an Acer A200 which is... tolerable I guess... and cheap.
all IPS panels ghost..
Hi
I've had my prime for quite a while now.
And since day one, the screen will turn on by itself several times a day.
(when in standby mode)
I have had this behavior on 3 different roms.
Current rom is EOS 2.0
Does anyone have an idea of what can cause this? Most likely an app that wakes the device.. So i have tried disabling facebook etc..
But are there any sensors that might wake it?
Also, if its an app or process - are there any apps or monitoring tools that can find out what exactly happened at the moment it woke ?
It's likely caused by an app. My old phone used to do this and my prime did it a couple times but hasn't since I reformatted it. What app it was I am unsure.
Same thing happens to my prime. I have gotten used to it. Turning the screen off again will do lol.

True enough, but when you are at work all day, and comes home to a discharged prime every day, you will get annoyed
It's all about the battery...
I noticed something odd yesterday.
If you slide the transformer over the docking, back and fourth - the screen will wake and close.
Its as if they are aware of each other. wierdness!
Anyhow, I thought I had found the solution to my problem with it waking up all the time. (I always have it lying on top of the docking, face up)
But no such luck, it still wakes byitself anywhere is lies. With reformatted ROM, no apps!

When you attach the pad to the dock, and close the lid, the pad will turn off the scren, like a netbook.

True enough.
But I mean, just placing your prime on the docking with the screen facing up. Not connecting the hinges.
Slide it horizontaly upwards against the hinges, and back again.
Then it will lit the display, and close it.. Just try it.
Prime is a glare monster. I used to get a headache when surfing web at night... no longer now!!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.haxor
Awesome app.. allows really reduced glare. I have set it fot 40% lesser brightness.... and that works at night time best for me.
My kid also finds reduced brightness much better, when i read out stories for him from the prime.

I'm a bit confused. The lowest brightness setting of my prime isn't what i would call 'glare monster' at all.
Do you use this app to replace the primes brightness control or does it work in addition to it?
It works as an addition

Works in addition to it. I take off 40% brightness from the lowest possible prime brightness.

i use this at night all the time on my galaxy s2 due to the fact that the screen is still bright as hell on it in pitch black dark. Great App.
Be aware with this installed if you try side load an apk it won't let you install it.
You must deactivate this to sideload an apk.
Something to do with screenoverlay. It's meant to be like this something to do with security from google.

My TF201 is alive!
I have this problem since I bought it, but from time to time happens very rarely.
I post 2 video. In first video my TF201 change home screen pages randomly and this made my TF201, on second video TF201 does not want to turn it OFF and TF201 dont support my choice!
I need to make cold BOOT to back my prime on good way

(Sorry for English)
Try a factory reset
Incredible, had the same thing right now! Now i try a cold boot. Incidentally, two hours ago i installed touchscreen tune and tuned. Maybe are these two things related?
Edit: a cold boot seems to have solved the problem, for now. Fingers crossed.

The first cold boot solved this problem for 30 minutes. Then i cold booted again and retuned the touch screen with less "aggressive" settings (before i could interact with the screen even not touching it but moving my finger 1-2 mm above it). Now after 3 hours of browsing and gaming everything is fine, no signs of self-moving from my prime.

i have the second problem too on my pad300...i set the screen sleep 15seconds when it happends to me , after all it happens very rarely ...
