I flash a wrong pit (of galaxy s) and the device doesn't enter in download mode or recovery mode and doesn't connect to pc =(

JTAG repair (search on here) = cheaper option, return to Samsung = more expensive option as you voided your warranty.
Up to you.

can the unbrickable resurrector (unbrickable mod) repair it? I'm italian and the jtag repair is so expensive for me =)

No idea. Never used it. Try it & find out.

I bought sunday a galaxy s2,this one was hard bricked.
I send it to a service center and told him that I was on the software program kies.
And that the phone not going on again.
They told me that could happens sometimes.
Tommorow I can pick the phone up by the service center.
I let you known if the phone is good again.
I hope so,because I bought it for 100 euro
Let's hope.

As promised.
Today I picked up the phone at the service center.
They told me that it works again.
The lady told me not to flash a galaxy s rom anymore
They known everything what you have done with your phone.
So I get me a cheep galaxy s2.
I think they repair the phone always, because for them people is it also money, what they get from samsung.
Cheers.

UART is completely blocked on I9100, only AT&T I777 has unlocked uart...anyway also UBMod for I777 is still WIP
So, for I9100 there isn't and there won't be any unbrickable mod...at least for now
With I9000 was sooo easy!!

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S II ROOTED & BRICKED

Hey guys.. I just bought my new SGSII a week ago and I wanted to root it. I follow a guide on google and it went perfectly. Then I wanted to try a custom rom and found lite' and dark ROM... And I picked the dark ROM, so I found a guide on your site, for the 10.2 final edition and I did everything it said. I was starting to install, and I was waiting 15 mins and nothing happend. So as stupid as I am, I take the USB stick out and take the battery out too..
After that it wont turn ON. It wont do NOHTING, no download mode, no repair mode.. Its been a couple of hours now and I cant find any answer on google so I wanted to post my problem here so you could have a new case to crack ..
The wierd thing is my phone is warm, and even more warm then when I played on it.. But it wont function at all..
Please, I am very happy to recieve ANY answer
Please provide a link to the exact rom that you attempted to install.

Look for the posts on the 301k Jig. I don't have the exact link but they're around somewhere on the SGS2 forum.
Its basically a microUSB with a 301k ohm resistor soldered onto it. If you have access to a soldering iron you can buid one in 10 minutes with the online schematics and basic knowledge of electronics.
It has been reported to throw your (bricked) device into download mode when no other method works, as well as reset the counters (tried and tested by me).
Once you get download mode, flash stock firmware w/ Odin and that could fix everything.

Yeah, that'll do it. Personally, I would only use XDA as a resource for rooting and not Google..in the Original Android Development sub-forum there is a great guide on flashing via Odin and applying stock firmware (in which, it actually states in BOLD not to tick the pit files.)
Good luck!
Never ever use pit file unless you know what a pit file is and know exactly what you are doing.....most bricked phones caused by flashing pit

Lol!! (Sorry) but this was my thoughts as soon as you said darky 10.2.... that is definitely not designed for the SGS2. If you can get the above USB jig fix to work then great. Otherwise I hope you have insurance :S

Yikes..
If the jig doesn't work and you have to send the phone in it might be a good idea to not mention what exactly you did to make it behave thusly
*edit*
Also, if all else fails you might want to check the debricking service detailed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zN7le4GmxZs

It will be a little cheaper if I just sended it to the repair shop in my town, I live in denmark if I send it to US to be fixed dahm ...
Well .. I think for sending it to the US you're looking at approximately ~85$ (shipping fees + repair)
Hard to tell what Samsung would charge if they found out you voided the warranty

[Q] My Galaxy i9100 is hard Bricked, any help?

Hello
This is my first thread, so first of all I want to apologize for my ignorance because i need to be honest with you guys is that i don´t really know much about this.
Thing is I bought this Samsung Galaxy SII i9100 and it had jelly bean installed, problem with the phone is that altough it was working fine in software terms (going into the internet, using the instant messaging services and social networks and so on) the camera had terrible lags, it just crashed everytime i tried to use it, so I decided I needed to go backwards, meaning I wanted to flash an older version of android to this phone, now here´s what happened
1.- I looked online for several websites including this one, and found out i needed the ROM, which i downloaded from sammobile (sorry i´m not sure if i´m allowed to say the source here it is another website), it was I9100UHLPP_I9100UHLPG_I9100UWALP5_HOME.tar.md5 for dominican republic.
2.- also read i needed the PIT, so i got it and used the omap4_all_20110627_emmc.pit.
3.- Followed this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1814801
Now here´s the problem, i succesfully placed the phone in download mode, and it got recognized by odin, but it failed when flashing, the phone got stuck into download mode, no activity was shown on Odin or the phone whatsoever, so i tried the most STUPID solution you can think after some time scratching my head without knowing what to do, I removed the battery.
Now the phone is not responsive at all, i plug the charger and it doesn´t show anything, use the 3 buttons and it doesn´t go to download mode, won´t come on, but it does get very warm on the camera area when plugged to charge.
I´ve read several threads of bricked galaxy phones but I wasn´t sure of any of the solutions posted, so I decided to ask directly miself, I know I posibly made some mistakes here, and I would really appreciate your help guys.
Before any of you asks me this, i don´t have a JIG so i haven´t tried that (as i said i´m kind of a newbbie with all this)
Service centre or maybe JTAG repair by 3rd party repairer. If you're lucky service centre won't notice/won't be able to tell you've borked it & repair it under warranty. If they don't get in touch with a couple of JTAG repairers (Google) & compare the cost with what Samsung/authorised repairer want to charge your to repair it.
Bricked is bricked. Nothing anyone here can tell you that's going to fix it given you're getting nothing out of the phone.

OK. In that case, get in touch with these guys (as I said in my PP, if you do a Google search you'll find others. You might even find one near you if you ask at local mobile repair shops).
If the phone can be JTAG'd (and you're only going to find out if someone who does them has a look), it will be much cheaper than paying a Samsung service centre/authorised repairer to fix it.
I´m on it already.

I already got in touch with a local 3rd party repair centre, they say it varies between 15-90 dollars to get this fixed depending on how bad it is, that is assuming it can be JTAGed, if it can be, i´ll let you guys know the information for the colleagues in Dominican Republic so they know, if not, then I guess I just got myself a very expensive paperweight :crying:
Good News!
My Galaxy SII i9100 is alive, i took it to this place and the JTAGed it and it works fine now, I still complain a little about the camera lags but is much better than before.
Should I post the information of the repair centre?
is that allowed?
Yep, do. Someone else might find it useful at some point.

[Q] hard brick i9300

hi,
my i9300 seem to be hard brick, but i don't understand why and how because i strictly did nothing
my phone is not rooted. it was in my pocket, and perfectly working, a few minutes later i would use it and it died.
i thought it was the battery, so i tried a few things that i could find. but nothing works.
all i tried did nothing (the screen is always black)
the big problem is i'm living in montreal canada and the phone come from miami so samsung want repair it :crying:
help me please
I'm sorry to hear this, but looks like you are one of the many with sudden dead gs3.
If you cannot fix it at samsung. Best chance would be to buy a motherboard or a smashed gs3 and use the motherboard.
I think would be cheaper to send it to samsung and let them replace the board for you. Email them and ask and compare prices.

[Q] Problem in my phone Galaxy s2 in IMEI

Hello
I have a Galaxy S2 GT-I9100
Fell a few drops of water on the phone and then no longer works have taken him for repairs have been repaired already after the technical replacement piece Alpaor also a piece transmitter and already worked the phone, but for only one day and then refused to work the device and disappeared network and transmission and also SIM card no longer working have you update the software, but to no avail was clear to me after having worked Root of the device that the files in this path are missing
/ sdcard / efs
Since the files in a folder efs empty where there is no any files and also I do not keep any backup copy of these files.
If I type * # 06 # the results in IMEI is: null/null

thanks,
I will search but you think the Riff Box Supported Samsung Models : I9100 ??!
and this box will repair the phone??
I think riff box not support Samsung Galaxy SII I9100 but it supported I9100G and i don't if this box it will be fix the problem.
I saw some couple of riff boxes last summer. And from the research I've made with them yes they support i9100 and that was the possibility to repair or modify imei. I don't remember the name of the boxes but as you discribe the box that supports the 9100g it shoukd support the normal 9100 just update the box software.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Unless you know what you're doing, don't try using a riff box or attempt a JTAG. Take it to someone who has already done hundreds of them. If you mess it up, you'll end up needing a motherboard replacement, and even worse, if you're careless with the soldering iron preparing to JTAG, you'll bork your phone beyond repair.
Be smart.
Riff boxes generally don't use soldering. Just a usb filter. And if someone as a riff box knows how to use it. Same for jtag thats even complexer. This yes uses soldering and don't advice that. But the riff boxes are ok. I've used two of them in galaxy s and galaxy s2 like child play. It's not dangerous when you know what you're doing.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
That's right, when you know what you're doing. 95% of people on here (n00bs) don't, it's the whole 'if you have to ask, don't try it' thing which clearly applies in this person's case. I mean, they didn't even have the wherewithal to make an EFS backup which could have fixed this problem fairly easily.
If they're smart, they'll pay someone to fix it.
Yes but i don't think he owns a riff box. Someone he knows owns one. But needs some updates. And maybee can help him. I don't think he should do it be himself.
And friend don't try to repair with i9100g settings from the box. You will loose your phoe!!
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
very easy my friend if you have ns pro download the baseband repair for that model and then you download the file flash it with ns pro and repair imei with the same box

sII motherboard replacement

Hi all,
I need to replace the motherboard from my device. I am wondering if it is plug-and-play or if it is needed some flashing.
In other words do I simply remove the dead one and connect the new one (used) or do I need to flash anything. Of course I suppose my IMEI is lost and I must have a working motherboard and a valid IMEI.
I also assume that I have no chances to recover the data stored in the broken device. The problem was caused by the small backup battery that lost acid and damaged the board and some components
Thank you
I just replaced my s2 motherboard from Samsung service center. It requires to be flashed with latest Sammy rom + they'll write your old IMEI number on your new motherboard. I'd suggest you to let the experts replace your motherboard. It'll cost you about $110 though...
Good luck with your phone!
