definitely mini if you have just these to choose from..
mini is next gen of x10,has better speed, slightly bigger screen.. and has promised android 4.0 updates..
however i wouldn't recommend mini for reading books n watching movies as they put a lot of stress on eyes due to low screen..
you can play less graphics intensive games.. my eyes hurt less when i play angry birds or tower defense games even for long time as compared to reading a book on my mini pro(same screen size as mini)

x10 or play? and app question

hey all, i saw theres been a massive price cut on the xperia play, and i can afford it so, is it worth me selling my x10 and getting a play? is it that much better than x10? What about build quality and stuff?
also, with the play being a psp (what i want, i play games, listen to music, text and watch movies so) are the games .iso's or .apk's? basically im wondering if the psp side of it is an app or another OS. because id like to be able to run backups of my old games on it, i have them stored on my computer from when i dumped my old UMD games. so are the games on the play .apk's or .iso's and what is used to launch into the psp mode of the phone, an app or is it a native second OS?
thanks
stephen
I don't know if im really qualified to answer these questions but ill try since, I have an x10 that have xperia play launcher and my best friend got an xperia play. I know most of the games for xperia play are iso converted to apks but if you search right on the forums you'll find roms and app that can run iso's on the play. My buddy got that rom and can even run n64 games on the play so if you really like gaming, it's the phone to go for just battery life is very poor when gaming, that's normal. Hope I answer your question
id like to ask does everyone think its worh it for £150 brand new?
as well as a response to my previous questions. thanks

[Q] GTA 3 ??????

is there any way to play gta 3 in x10 mini pro ?
I actually am playing it on my xoom, and god its awsome!
It wouldnt be fun at all on the minipro, trust me
There are hell a lot of controls on the screen

Onlive on the x10

Has anyone tried Onlive on the x10? Why the hell is it so laggy? My x10 plays 720p video smoothly so why cant it stream a relatively low quality video through onlive? Even the menus are insanely laggy.
It's just too much for our x10, plus how can you expect to play serious games with our screen? It just doesnt work.
This is only connection problem - you need to have very good internet or live close to OnLive servers (I heard that some of them are in Britain). Hardware isn't much important, many worse devices can run OnLive without lags - the question is why my friend has 20mb/s and he has lags sometimes (he has few devices, X10 too) and my friend has 4mb/s and he told me that he play few games already and no lags at all.....Maybe operator issues, don't know, 100% sure it's not hardware on our X10's.

[Q] Gaming on Xperia Mini Pro

Hello guys , can you please describe your gaming experience on the Xperia Mini Pro ?
Does it run HD games like FIFA , Pes , Real Football , Modern Combat , Fruit Ninja , assasins creed and etc ?
Is it worth buying for people like me who play a lot of games but have small/medium budget ?
-Thanks

I have tried all those games you mentions above and all perform smoothly on my mini pro except modern combat, I have tried the first one and it performs ok. The second and third modern combat I havent try it yet.
It can get quite choppy sometimes due to ram reasons maybe
Sent from my SK17i using XDA
For the Fruit Ninja (for me) it is a bit laggy when many fruit come out at the same time...
For the modern combat and Pes 12 : A-Ok man smooth
Sent from my SK17a using xda premium
dern Combat , Fruit Ninja , assasins creed and etc ? Assassins creed was sometimes laggy but playable.
the only for problem of gaming on mini pro, is, the screen is too small to be honest.
seeing my friends playing games on his sensation i realised how small my phone is for gaming. but for daily use its great
i think i will pick this one over the Galaxy Ace then

Go for mini pro. Its always better than ace!!
you get more CPU,gpu,RAM! A qwert keyboard! A front facing camera!
My view, timescape ui from Sony is better than touuch viz, better using experience.
So comparing with this all you get more from ace is a bigger screen. You dont have to chose that over so much advantages from minipro. Get the mini pro! B-)

65 viwes no replys... i just like a yes or no or there is only one cellphone Called Aino that has that feature?
None of those phones has Remote Play with the PS3/4, and, as far as I know, no phone since Sony's Aino and Satio has it. Maybe it'll be added in the future, unless Sony is afraid it'll hurt Vita sales.

Thanks very much that's all i needed to know i even trough of changing my own galaxy s4 for xperia z ultra if it had remote play it would be awesome but ok ill wait
In order to do remote play for ps4 download PlayStation app
Sent from my SPH-L710 using XDA Free mobile app
Upcoming Xperia Z3 line has PS4 remote play feature. Maybe a waiting game till it gets ported to older Xperias though.
Before the wait is over, don't you think that the whole playstation will be miniaturized onto a xperia handset before the remote play is developed? Which approach makes more sense? My xperia z ultra has quad CPUs, each clocked at well over 2Ghz . Why buy a PlayStation when you can install games onto Xperia. PlayStation is so 20th century, like a DVD player. Why own a DVD player and go to blockbuster to rent DVD when you can play any movie online from amazon? Why bother a PlayStation when you can play the same games on android? Stay on top of technology. Save the money and time to get a life. Go to gym to train and build muscle.
Better yet, why buy a 11 inch screen laptop or PC when the PC can run inside the near-7-inch screen xperia z ultra? Better yet, get rid of cable modem and home wifi using only tmobiles unlimited 4g data. Save the time and go out. I have the instruction in my blog http://nocomputerbutphone.blogspot.com/
.
We android hackers should help one another. Don't fall in the Sony corporate capitalism dead end game. Xperia z ultra has the same 4 CPU arm. Xperia z ultra clocked faster than PS vita. If Sony had released the PlayStation high end games instead of stuffing the 5 dollar pointless games in their download site for xperia, I would have spent my money on that site. Now I spend no money on that PlayStation site for xperia. They lose. No one wins. Don't wait for that playstation remote , my friend. It is backward engineering, anti evolution. Let it die.
Sony has officially made remote play available for any device that runs 5.0 or up.
Can anyone just let me know if there getting the same issue.
I noticed that the z ultra gets the 88001003 Error code. Every other phone it works with no problem. There 0n 5.1 and there older than the ultra.
