I have problem after installing doomlord v6 oc kernel for locked bl..everytime i flashed it the phone will reboot nicely and then it stuck and the white led appear..it is constantly appear and keep rebooting..it is not happen when im using doomkerne v6 stock no oc..tried thkernel oc 128-1.2ghz its working fine..
currently using feravolt v6 stock rom
any suggestion on how to solve my problem?
sorry for my broken english..still learning..thank you
All X10 units may not be 100% identical. There are always minor differences in the chips. So, somebody's X10 may be stable with 1.228 Ghz where as others might not boot. E.g. when OC'ed to 1228 MHz my X10 boots, but eventually gives white LED and reboots. There is really nothing that can be done about it I'm afraid.
Since the no OC version of the kernel is using the stock frequencies, your device is working without any issues.
Also, could you disclose which ROM you are using. There could be incompatibility between the ROM and Kernel (but doubtful as you said no OC version worked). If this is the case then if you install a compatible ROM, your problem will be solved.
im currently using feralab v6.0 stock based rom..this already happen in my previous rom wolfbreak 7b6 for stock..i already tried recover stock se rom rooted by doomlord and install the kernel..sometimes it cannot boot, it stuck on kernel boot logo..and sometimes it boot but it stuck and white led appear ..i have to remove the battery and flash non oc kernel to make it work..do i have to reflashed back my phone to stock se rom and baseband?
Since the over clocked Doomkernel is not working, you could use non- overclocked version as it has more options than other kernels. You could also consider unlocking boot-loader so that you can try Doomkernel for unlocked boot loaders also. Maybe this will work.

Im facing the same problem before but I managed to control my cpu using setcpu by setting it to 1113mhz.. If you put it on full perfomance at all time.. It might damage your system.. So, I suggest you try this and get back to me..

try the medium overclocked version. It works great for me
No issues. Use any cpy app and keep it below 1.2ghz. Since all x10 chipsets are not the same, all devices don't support full oc. This will result in WLOD. You need to use trial and error method to check which one is suitable for your device. Try flashing thjap's kernel. Then use cpumaster/setcpu/nofrills etc to know about the correct stable voltage for your phone.

Hello all,
Okk,actually story starts from the day custom kernels are released. Here we go:
I was on wb v4 when actually doom released his custom kernels,he had two versions X/S AND FS Series.First i tried x/s series kernel and was stuck on XPERIA logo. Then,i tried FS Series it worked but cant overclock.. then i came to know that coz of some files in the ROM,u cant install x/s series untill u delete those files.
Then,WB released v5,again first i tried custom version but then also i was stuck on xperia logo. Then,i tried stock version it worked but u cant overclock.I decided to retain on stock version for some time.
Then WB released v6,now i tried gaming ROM first but guess what? I was again stuck on xperia logo.I flashed Doom's fs kernel then the ROM worked but u cant overclock.
WHENEVER I FLASHED ANY CUSTOM KERNEL OR CUSTOM ROM WITH THE CUSTOM KERNEL I WAS STUCK ON XPERIA LOGO....
I am not able to boot wb's gaming rom, always stuck on xperia logo.
Need help...
P.S. BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED.
EDIT 1:
Noticed one thing when i flashed doom's kernel v4b, it doesn't vibrate when u power it ON.
But with FS kernel it does...argh!! what the hell!!

The fact that you can install ROMs means that you have xrecovery installed and rooted 2.3.3. So my only advice would be to make sure your on the right baseband .71 and the original stock kernel. Then install wolf gaming rom. If you still can't boot up...then start from a completely clean 2.3.3 GB STOCK ROM and try over again. OR your phone is serious and cannot handle any OC or UC or UV or OV and that is possible since other users have similar issues.
nice username. By the way ZEUS raped his sister.

P.S i tried repairing it with SEUS it does repaired, i rooted it, then intalled xrecovery, then cleanly installed WB's Gaming ROM and again stuck on Xperia logo...
anyone who can help me here..??
bump!
How does it behave after flashing SE kernel (repair with SEUS or FT)? Did you boot and test before rooting again?
Karl
I'm currently running stock 2.3.3 from SE (through Rogers in Canada) with baseband 2.1.71 (rooted since it was released)
I planned on installing CM7 on my phone so I decided to unlock my bootloader so that it is ready when I eventually do so. I used FlashTool 0.6.7.0 to unlock it and it ran without any problems.
However I'm unable to turn Wi-Fi on. It only says "Error" and I'm not too sure what's wrong. I tried searching for answers but others with same issues were using custom ROMs while I'm still on stock.
Anyone know what I can do to fix this? If you're missing any information to be able to help me, please let me know and I will post them. (I have about a week to fix this as I'll be leaving on vacation and I'll need wifi working)
Thanks!
If you have really opened bootloader, for such device special kernels are necessary (stock or custom). Flash by FlashTool one of such ftf-kernels, then install with utility xRecovery the module wi-fi for this kernel.
The author of each ROM recommends, what kernels to use and gives the link on downloading.
just look for the kernel tht is meant for unlocked bootloader tht should work with stock rom n then flash kernel via flashtool n wifi modules file through xrecovery ur wifi will work
Which kernel u using? U prob need the relevant WiFi modules.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot tonight. I noticed it mentioned to install a custom kernel but seeing how everything else was fine I skipped that step. (ooops )
I had that "error" on my stock with zKernel.I dont know cause, but i fix it with reinstall zKernel..Try with zKernel for stock..

Well, installed FXP105 and everything seems to be buttery smooth. Wifi is working now (yay!), but now camera is not working. Also tried with Vignette and no go.
Gonna search around a bit.
Thats ICS man, camera dont working and some other stuff eather. Its stable but its not for everyday use.

It's not ICS... I installed CM7.2. Found out FXP105 was missing a lib file for camera so I'll fix it later.
Thanks for all your help guys
FXP105 is 9.0 (ICS),thats FXP54 i think.

Hi. I haven't tested it with CM7 but MIUI had the same problem, so try to flash wifi fix and then UnlockedBL.zip . And also try other kernels

This morning I woke up and as I entered the XDA routine to look for a new ROM for my WT19a based firmware .58. I found this HYBROM v17
changed the kernel that is using the kernel itself kamarush very good I recommend to everyone and it is not stable and already spent battery is an ICS alpha. I decided to switch to GB because I was thinking of games as the OS is lighter so I can have more Hz observed for the Games. Ai gave me a Kernel not know where I'm just in Boot img. Do not know which kernel is said that he worked in the cell that is based on .62 firmware. I did everything right as in Tutorial #http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1373435But I was stuck in the screen just did several times and always restarts the machine. Thank God and Backup ClockworkMod restaruar achieve my original kernel. Soon after the Advanced Backup to start the phone again. At first did not recognize most USB cable into fastboot mode or mode mass is nothing in debug mode only after a disconnected and connected the USB device works again. I wonder if applying a Kernel difirente ROM for your application. Aver can brick. Because I could not install: Confuso:
in boof rom the firmware using is .62 not 58.. the kernel using this to work is xkernel, rage and boofkernel ..
RAGE Kernel v2.8

According to the RAGE was vendor Kernel v2.8. Because this Rage Kernel v2.8 would not have to run? Rage Kernel v2.8 ROM does not run on 58? Because before when I was using kernel kamarush MiniSanduwich and everything worked perfect. Someone tell me a kernel itself wrong in a ROM which defects that generates them.
Now I'm too afraid to apply a different kernel and not return it to flow. Because right after that my Kernel celularar stopped recognizing the USB device for a time that is normal.
Rage Kernel, X Kernel and kernels created by bbooff should work on all stock(including .42, .58, .62, .69 and many others) and stock-based ROMs.
GB kernels work only on GB, ICS kernels work only on ICS.

Kernel only works on GB and GB Kernel ICS ICS only works on this I know. That's why I had to Madar Kernel to use this ROM Hybrom which is based on GB. It was then that the problem had a second boy from the Facebook group I started | Kernel Rage is that it currently uses in cell http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398910 it all works perfect ROM and Kernel. In my not work as I did everything right in the tutorial and the Kernel flasher I used the flash code script to write the kernel. After I did the tutorial teaches you how. Get stuck in boot screen did all limpesas as taught and nothing. When I went to reflasher the kernel you were using ICS Kernel Before the computer stopped recognizing the phone Fastboot mode. By great luck my backup of the original ROM ClockworkMod was recovered successfully. Now I'm afraid to apply in Kernel flasher and it does not return to work.
I need to know what damage they can imreparaveis to come when a kernel applied to a ROM in a dispositovo that is not supported as in my case.
Is there a way I can overclock my beloved x10? What are the risks in doing so?
Sent from my X10i using xda premium
use doomkernel v06 on stock rom or rom based on stock rom.... u can overclock upto 1.2ghz using inbulit app or using set cpu or antutut cpu
the risks of Overclocking are that not all devices can handle it .
and could cause sudden reboots etc when the cpu's "drowning" in data
and ofcourse battery will drain faster (not that i notice it that much)
to be honest i havent read or seen or even encountered any "real" risks can be annoying if your phone reboots but you can still undo or even try a lower OC speed.
i believe its most important factor in weither you can or cant handle is heat.
(pardon my english) a phone releases its heat passive meaning if you put it out in the sun chances on reboots will be higher.
http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/news/mobile-phone/3255360/should-you-overclock-your-smartphone/
check this out its a good explenation i found.
I decided to try for myself and I now use DoomKernel v06 with SetCPU I don't really see a point in overclocking my phone though haha but can underclocking it have a negative effect when it's just on standby when I'm at school? And I'm not sure what governer to use hahaha

Underclocking
When phone is in standby mode it doesnt need any underclocking it goes automatically into deep sleep. This cpu mode saves lots of energy.
Most of custom kernels already handle it.

Depends on your liking. Like Battery Lifespan, performance and so on. For Knowing more about governors and their specialties,
In This Thread, it explains Things about I/O schedulers, Kernel, Governors and related information.
If DooMKernel versions for locked bootloader, i recommend 1113MHz as optimal and best for your X10 because moderate overclock, and compatible to most Custom ROMs. You can get it under my signature link.
Hope helps.

If I flash the DoomKernel-1113 kernel, is my phone automatically overclocked or do I need to set clock speeds after downloading SetCPU etc?

Setcpu is to change governor and increase frequency. Yes you need. Because your original frequency is 998MHz.

Custom to Stock kernel.

Please note that DoomKernel V6 has two versions: For Locked Bootloader and Unlocked Bootloader If you're looking for locked bootloader version, i got it linked under my signature.
While DoomKernel V6 for Unlocked Bootloader, link here Place the ftf under flashtool subfolder "Firmware" to flash the kernel wifi modules can be flashed via Xrecovery (in case Wifi not working)
There're 2 ways to get back stock kernel:
1) [LOCKED BOOTLOADER] Just full wipe, clear cache partition in xrecovery will restore your Stock Kernel as long as you didn't unlock your bootloader. Note that these actions will remove all your user and system Data.
2) [UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER] Flash the Stock Kernel for Unlocked Bootloader via flashtool. Stock Kernel Link for Unlock Bootloader Here. Remember to place the stock kernel FTF file under flashtool subfolder "Firmware" to flash the stock kernel then flash the wifi modules (if wifi not working) via xrecovery
Hope helps. Cheers

Hi,
Mine runs on 245Mhz and 1.114GHz with no negative effects. No noticeable drain on battery and no freeze effects.
When I choose 128Mhz as the lowest frequency it takes a while to get going. ie sometimes I have to press the wake button twice.
When I clock it to 1.2GHz I start to get problems with the program freezing/jamming up. Make sure you don't tick the "apply on boot" straight away until your happy with the stability of your phone.
Hope this helps.
I'm using 128/1036 Mhz. It's just that little bit extra which makes your phone super smooth and you save the extra battery life with the 128Mhz cap.

Similar issue.
I have tried installing this several times to no avial.
I have installed the base 4.0.4 Stock rom - then DOOM kernel - Then installed the KA11 - Then installed Advanced ICS Kernel - then flashed the V5 kernel to go with the ROM... and all i get is the hanging on boot and then eventual reboot.
I have tried flashing it all through aurora - still nothing even on GB KERNEL - Previous kernel V3 everyone that I can think of.
The only way I can get KA11 to work is if I use Advanced ICS kernel. I do the full wipe and davlik... also fix permissions. I have almost tried everything. Does anyone have any ideas.
I am all out. I would love to try this rom... I have flashed a lot of units without issue... THEN THIS... lol
Cheers.
hey try this install ka11 then use xsx kernel it has oc also but up to 1.7 only, after 1 day or 1 night install the ka v5 kernel, works for me, at first i got bootloop with ka kernel but after using xsx for a night, i installed ka kernel v5 and got no bootloop. good luck
I got it working

Cheers mate.
I'm having force close to mostly every app I have, even when I'm setting a new wallpaper. I think KA11 has still more bugs, so I'm still waiting for an update/bug fix
HI, if i want to return to the industry firmware can i use the update via pc companion ? i have installed advanced stock 01 and ka08 .
