i just spent hours reading through every wallaby dead post and didnt actualy find any answers ...... what it is i stupidly bought a wallaby of ebay after reading that it broke during a flash the guy assures me this is the case but if so wouldnt ibe able to get it into the bootloader screen ? (i cant) the battery powers fine but when i press the power button i get nothing not even a flicker on the screen has anyone got a solution to this problem please or is it just past repair ? i cant connect by active sync i cant flash it off the card as it wont boot and icant work out how to use mtty or have no clue what file i need to use so if anyone has actualy brought a wallaby out of this state i would apreciate it if they shared how to do it please in a step by step guide
thanks
please!!!
hasnt anyone got a clue how to do this or how to conect to the wallaby using a diferent program or something and forcing the rom upgrade on it ? please please please !
i guess the guy who made this managed
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=WallabyJTAG
you know that you dont just press on button to get itno bootloader right ?
oh dear
eeek is that the only option ??? i actualy own a jtag but dont realy fancy taking that chip off and my soldering sux oh well time to use it as a paperweight i guess thanks anyway i stupidly bought this of a guy on ebay claiming it had been broken due to a bad flash what a waste of 47 pounds oh well !
People tend not to respond to hardware enquiries here
What exactly does "the battery powers fine " mean? Why cant you just connect it to the USB port and flash it again through there? Is something seen by your OS when you plug it in if "the battery powers fine"?
what i mean by the battery powers fine is tha tthe charge light changes colour after charging it for a while and no the pc wont find it anyway thanks for all your help but i ended up selling it on ebay and bought an universal
I have managed at least twice, always when having installed PC2003 and the XDA just dying. As you may have read, resuscitating the XDA is a bit of a black art, but I took these notes last time it happened in case it dies again, hope they are useful.
This worked last time!!
The key is to getting Activesync to pick up the XDA
Remove Sim card
Have XDA in cradle and wait until the XDA boots up
Leave it in the cradle for a couple of hours (not sure if this is necessary)
Boot up PC
Activesync should pick up the device
Run Programme B with XDA still in cradle
XDA will flash something, then reset and SHOULD install the RSU
Insert Sim and.....bingo
Hi all,
Note: this method is not guaranteed (recommended as a last hope before thrown your phone into the trash) and should be performed only by an adult.
problem:
bricked my S5830 after downgrading to froyo.
black screen no showing what so ever (not even samsung logo, recovery or download mode).
tried couple of method ,nothing worked.
solution:
remove battery,SD and SIM card
place backside of the device near heating source (slight heating for half minute) such as hair dryer. put the battery back and press (volume down + power + home) to enter the download mode.
hope it will help somebody
regards,
WTF is this!!??
This looks kinda akward to do to your phone, and i dont think it will work, but if my phone gets bricked this will be my last try afyer all the other methods
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA App
is this really working?? coz i did really BRICKED my Ace!
but this sounds rediculious!
i need help!!
I hit the thanks button coz that post really gave me a laugh, but I'm with Jc_master it might get a try if I ever can't unbrick my ace!
This method DOES work, but you don't really need the heat source. Remove the battery, leave the phone alone for a minute, then while holding volume down + power + home insert the battery. If successful, you will see the download screen.
Otherwise, you may need to make a usb jig (youtube dot com /watch?v=Rdn5GoRjhn0) or just buy one from the guy in the video. I did both and now I have a sloppy 5 resistor (3 100K and 2 1K) electrical tape usb kludge job, and one of Mobile Tech Videos' slightly more professional fully plastic encased jigs.
that method is like forgetting the contents in the memory for a very fast way, through the use of heat, and reactivating some IC's.
Samsung service centre repaire it so not need to put phone in trash
so any one not know how to unbrick then safe way to go service centre
This sounds like the mobile equivalent of "banging it hard"
Would not advice the untechnical to follow this without seeking every other support first.

Have an HTC Amaze 4G that WAS running T-Mobile's stock ICS ROM.
Here's what happened: Successfully Unlocked SIM with code provided by t-mobile.. Decided to go further and successfully unlocked bootloader using HTC's website. Then used Amaze_All-In-One Kit v4.0.1 to successfully flash the Speed ROM 7.9. Everything went fine with just one issue, when phone rebooted I kept getting the "unfortunately com.android.phone service has stopped" message over and over. Tried restarting, tried removing battery, tried removing the SIM card and nothing would make the message go away. The phone kept rebooting fine though, just that annoying error message problem. Then....I made what was apparently a VERY stupid move. I thought maybe it was a SIM card problem (I was grasping at straws, I know) and put in a SIM card I have from France thinking maybe it would ask me to put the SIM unlock code in again. Well, the phone never rebooted again. I had been using that SIM card in it earlier to unlock it so I have no idea why that suddenly happened. Now it's completely dead. No power at all (battery was 100% charged), no lights, and does not respond to holding down the volume down/power button combo to try to get into the bootloader. When I connect it to the computer, the computer makes the sound acknowledging something has been plugged in and a "Found New Hardware" message pops up showing the hardware as "QHSUSB" and asks to install the software, which of course it never manages to do.
So........ is there any hope? Any at all!!??? I'm DESPERATE. I'm in the Los Angeles area, anyone local willing to take a look at it (I don't expect free help) Can anyone fix a brick? Please? :crying:
(Please, I beg of you, be gentle in your responses. I've been searching the site and Googling for answers and things to try and I'm a bit heartbroken at the moment. :crying: Please don't flame me. I'm actually a nice person and generally not a moron...well, not usually at least. All evidence to the contrary today, I now)
Thank you in advance for any help/suggestions or virtual pats on the back telling me it will all be OK while I cry on your virtual shoulder.
Sarah
Sounds like you battery may have died and whatever recovery you're using isn't supporting charging while off. So first thing is first. Verify that your battery isn't dead if it is then find a way to charge it. Then try again.
I would take a look here

Flashing multiple times are harmful for any ROM.
Anyways, just download the original winmo from HTC site for your mobile.
Go to the tri color screen (switch off your mobile then pressing power button and repeatedly pressing volume up/down buttons will make your mobile enter tri color screen), and connect your mobile to PC . USB will be shown in your mobile once connected.(I hope you have necessary drivers installed...if not install windows mobile device centre.)
And flash the ROM. N be patient....it may take some time..10..15mins. Just wait.
Once you have installed stock ROM , you can switch to another. But read flashing instructions properly then install custom ROM.

He flashed a non tmous rom to a tmous phone, , , , dead phone.
Although I couldn't help noticing that that rom claims to have a 2.10.50 radio which in theory shouldn't brick a tmous, however it will be about the only non tmous stock rom that WOULDN'T brick a tmous.
@OP, care to explain in more detail what
phone have stuck, now i can't enter to bootloader.

Man, what are you trying to do?!!
Are you flashing the stock WinMo ROM? Without entering the tricolor screen!! Seriously!!
Just do the following steps:
1) Download original factory (stock) ROM from HTC website for your mobile.
2) Install WMDC(windows mobile device centre) in your PC.
3) In Mobile, enter tricolor screen,
Method:
Start the phone by pressing the vol down and power buttons together.
4) and when the tricolor bootloader appears connect your mobile to PC and flash the winmo ROM.

I try use android, but android is very lagy and I wanted to reflash stock rom .. To internet I found this guid http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/08/15/how-to-restore-stock-rom-on-htc-hd2-video/
but reflashing phone he stuck... and now I can't it turn on
ok, now i'm a little confused exactly what position your phone is in.
1 I THINK what you mean is that the flash failed, and the phone now does nothing, nothing at all, screen stays black, no lights, nothing, is that right? (Because that's what i would expect from flashing a non tmous rom onto a tmous phone)
2 however, you could also mean that it starts, but wont do anything, and you cant enter bootloader, , because this is also a fairly common fault (ignore sonalikagaur shouting ''just put it in bootloader'', he obviously doesn't know that there are loads of faults that include not being able to get into bootloader)
Problem is, in both of those situations, there is very little you can do, so ill point a few things to read up on for the different faults.
For case 1, there isn't anything you can do except JTAG it.
For 2, from the various pieces, no bootloader, flash failing at 50% (are you sure it didn't stop at 8% - 10%?), I think it points to a hardware fault, in which case you can possibly try the freezer trick, and there are some threads that talk about not being able to get into bootloader using voldown and power, perhaps they would be worth reading.
however i suspect its deeper than that. If all else fails, there's a thread that talks about heating the mainboard to help the solder joints from the processor to the mainboard reattach, but that's pretty full on stuff, and only to be tried if you don't mind a truly dead phone.
Again, a JTAG may fix it, but then it may not too, and unless you find someone local with teh equipment, its as expensive as a new hd2.
You can sell them for parts for a reasonable amount. Especially the screens.
Good luck.
So samsamual, if its as dead as a doornail, a person shd head straight for a jtag? My boet had 1 which inspired me, and 2years later i managed to get 1, only to enjoy for about a week before i asked my brother to droid mine like he had done his back then. I dnt knw what he was thinking but, number 1 he didnt use winmo device centre, i didnt actually pay attention to what n how he tried flashing, but within the hour i then had myself a rather lovely ornamental piece, yeah, a totally dead bricked HD2, even just laying there deadly n all, i have to say 'what a beautiful phone!' Really, i was heartbroken nonetheless... anyway without a decent telephonic device, my boet had a s2 galaxy and bb 9500 storm which i claimed before he left. A few days later i browsed web for swaps, and amazingly i found a fellow looking for two bbs for an brand new s3, his reasoning that the i9300 is a data pig, it is depending how you set it up. Anyway, two days ago i got me another hd2, bt it also has a frickin problem, it wnt pick up a signal, no service, although yesterday i used whole day on cell c network here in cpt sa, when i changed for a fresh battery (still have my dead spare brick, hence extra battery), then it wdnt pick up a sgnal again, i changed once using my daughters sim, which is the same network, just a newer sim card. It is the same size as the micro sim as far as copper plates on a sim are concerned that i can tell when comparing to my micro sim in my galaxy, my hd2 sim cards' copper plating wd hide my daughters same sized sim card completely. So my q is if her card worked with less plated sim, shd i maybe upgrade my sim card, but... i had a virgin sim in it aswell, worked fine, bt then i wanted my old sim id used the whole day, back in phone, and since yesterday evening up till writing this now this am, i havent bn able to get a signal except when i checked my daugters sim, it worked, took it out, pt mine back, wdnt pick up service, put my kids 1 in again and then it also wdnt pick up again, till nw... nothing? Nw im only sumising but my next q is cd there maybe be damage to the pins that make contact from the phone to the sim? Or cd the phone possibly be blocked And is there gna be a way to check the sim pins without having to disassemble the whole phone. Its nt a major issue though, i cn still connect to the internet via wireless net and do my whatevers there with regard to that, for me its a great phone for anyone into the pc trade, eg, remote desktop pc control, etc etc. So ok, nw... is there a place i cn go to discover jtagn my dead hd2, id like more info, so id probly find in the hd2 forum on xda. I also nd to ask what rom wd i flash if im in south africa, because i knw tmous for us only. And im using cell c in sa, but it gives a long list of operators i cn chose frm if i want, theres even 4 for my country that i cn chose from. Bt cd be many reasons aswel like you sd, i wdnt mind getn other hd2 up n running, and ptn android on both, wel hope I get the 1 andy gn. Iv sum reading to do for this forum. The previous owner of my second hd2 had android on, so then does that mean the phone is rooted already? If it had android on it shd be hey. Leme go read sum, chat later maybe.
