Just received it on monday. Have been using it, but the battery dies quicker than I expected. With extensive use you definitely won't make it through the day (mostly due to screen use). The GPS and WIFI are definitely huge battery users. The phone itself however is very good. There's a lack of Android store on it right now, so I'm downloading it now and will install it when I get home using the APK.
Overall its a good phone, just the battery doesn't seem to be that great. I'm going to check if its just a faulty battery and try the other one.

i was planning to buy a white Galaxy S 2 when the price drops a little, and to buy the official extended battery from Samsung (2000mAh) too.
I was looking for infos around the web and encountered this video:

It's one of the very rare videos about extended battery for white GS2, and it shows a problem. As explained through the video (it's in italian), due to a harder material used to build the white back-cover, the cover won't fit the phone nicely!
You can see this problem (in the video it's shown on a black S2, but it's same for the white one) around minute 3:00 .
I think it is unacceptable for such an expensive and high end phone.
Is this true? Has someone tried this?
I really need to know because if this is true i may buy something else instead. Thanks in advance.

Couldn't find anything. I will post this topic there too if i don't get an answer here. I thought i should post here because mine was in fact a question.
I'm mainly looking for someone who actually bought and tried the extended battery with white back-cover on a white GS2, in order to know if it really didn't fit the phone.
I bought the official extended use (3000mah) battery for the S3 except it doesn't fit into the Japanese model I have. The battery is just .5cm too long. The width is perfect and the connections line up perfectly. It's probably stupid, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience opening a battery up, and if there is a way to cut down on the vertical length in anyway.
I've included a picture of the two. The one on the left is the extended battery with a length of 6.3cm. The one on the right is the stock battery with a length of 5.8cm.

Thanks for your saw! Well you never know, there could be some unnecessary casing around it. Worth a shot hearing what everyone has to say. I'd rather find a way to use it than ship it half way across the world again.
Yes there could be unnecessary casing but I doubt it, even cutting the battery open and exposing the internals could be dangerous for your phone. (or even yourself)
I would not risk a 600$ phone with some modded battery :angel:
If you place the battery in front of your eyes the answer would be no but you can always try and report back . Buy a replacement battery first .

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask folks and if not I apologise in advance.
I am after a replacement LCD for my SGS 3. Unfortunately my new puppy bit my phone and cracked the front glass. So I bought a new glass and as I was trying to get the broken one off the puppy jumped up at me to play....knocking my arm and straight into the LCD. I have stripped the phone down completely and scraped the old screen off but I need a new / second hand one if anyone has one they will sell me or knows where to get one from.
I dont or to be honest cant afford to spend a lot of money as due to disability I am not working at the moment. I have some important files on my phone that I need to get off but im not sure if the motherboard has been damaged...when the phone is plugged into the PC all I see is a red light constantly

I've been pretty impressed with this phone considering the price. My one and only complaint so far is with the strength of the NFC Chip & or Antenna.
I really really don't want to pop the back off unless I have to. I'm not sure if it would actually help answer my question anyway.
What I want to do is make something like this:

Sure I could do a bunch of trial and error testing and either get lucky or figure it out. However I don't like to waste time like that when if I only know the shape and size of the NFC Antenna I wouldn't have to do so much trial and error testing.
So my question to all the Great People here on XDA that might see this is: Does anyone know the shape and size antenna in the Elephone P9000 (not the lite)? Thanks!!!

50mm square bang in the middle of the back there are two aerials one takes up a 1/3 of the lower half of the space the other the top 2/3... one is NFC one (I assume) wireless charging
