I got my brand new Galaxy S II (i9100) yesterday. As usual I tried to update it with Kies but failed in the middle. Now it is not booting. On powering on, it shows a PC and mobile logo in the middle.
Please help.
I tried with I9100XXLPB & I9100XWKF3 but every time odin stuck at setting up connections.
Only one time it succeed that step but still failed in flashing.
If I go to Service Centre, Can they identify my trials. Please help!!!
EDIT: Also tried the stick thread (Intratech), but failed.
Kies bricks phone = warranty will repair .

LPB is a non Samsung rom that could void warranty .
Have you tried all the fixes posted in guides stickies if so service centre and tell them Kies broke it .
jje
Service centre people unbricked my GS II.
But the problem is still I cannot flash it personally.
Am I doing anything wrong?

Ok so I just got my self a brand new galaxy ace , tried installing fruit ninja phone hung and I switched it off , now it's stuck at the Samsung logo !
I have read solutions for this problem searching all over
I tried factory reset and wipe cache from the recovery menu and still the Samsung logo loops !
The other solutions include using Odin or rooting your phone to install cwm , but all this and my warranty is void , I'm planing on sending it to the service centre , but first would like to know if any of you may be able to help me out with other solutions .
It's much appreciated
Using ODIN only for flash official will not void your warranty .
So You can try yourself. ODIN is more safely and comfortable to use than KIES.

FRUIT NINJA IS A NEW ROM MANAGER . .. RUN :s
just kidding ... flash with odin ... that will not void your warranty
Try wiping your cache in stock recovery

Hello! so many hard bricked phones need new mainboard.. after that new LQ5 CWM factore reset problemn..
i got mail service center: "The equipment has been in breach of the warranty, the screen mechanically damaged, not covered by the warranty."
so how my display can be broke after when im doing factory reset in CWM? And after that phone wont power on...
and 3 buttons mod dont work.. either USB-jig..
can somebody explain? thanks..
Damn those service centre. Its just an excuses not to replace one for you. Recently my friend hard bricked his 3month old Galaxy Note N7000. Before sending it to service centre I connect it to KIES and run the Emergency Recovery Mode (recovery will show Failed for sure) The idea here is to get
"connect phone to pc" logo instead of normal boot loop Samsung "S" logo then argue with the service counter that all this happen during the Official Firmware upgrade prompt by KIES. 3 days later received sms from service centre "Dear Customer, Your phone is ready for collection....blah..blah...blah at NO cost......isnt it wonderful

but how my display is broken with that firmware
Hi
I just got an Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 GSMH from a friend.
The phone is not stolen, barred or tampered with. It was bought from the samsung store in Hing Kong and is around 1 year old.
Its totally stock, no custom ROM and custom binary in download mode says No.
The phone is stuck on the Samsung logo screen and keeps flashing. I can get into both recovery and download mode.
I tried reboot system, wipe cache and factory reset and its still stuck at the logo screen flashing.
When I connect to Kies in download mode it says device not responding and doesnt play ball. Tried all the trouble shoot but still does nothing...
The phone is recognised by Odin 3.07.
I have not tried anything further as I want some good advice so as not to brick the phone by using the wrong firmware!!
Could anyone advise me what to do next? I am guessing I need to flash firmware in Odin.
Do I need to partition with the pit file as well?
Again I would highly appreciate some help and links to the correct firmware for the phone.
Thanks in advance
Mark
This is all p[posted in the faqs and guides ..

iv attempted to use odin to flash the firmware but every time it fails
now all i get outside of odin mode is
(firmware encountered a issue please select recovery mode in kies and try again)
kies just says ...connecting for ages.
iv been trying for days. all different firmwares o2 branded uk to unbranded uk stock

iv reinstalled drivers. etc reinstalled kies. and tried 3 different versions of odin.
as well as 2 different cables..
anybody had this issue
You need to find Hopper 8's 'Odin troubleshooting' thread & try everything in the thread over & over & over. The alternative is an expensive trip to a Samsung service centre or a new phone.
My phone got hang on the boot logo (loading)
I can only access the download mode.
I tried to flash two firmware file via Odin 3.07
after flashing same thing happening. I went to the service center. They tried via octopus and other devices but same problem. They told me to change the chip but its rare as its not available in my country Bangladesh. please help me.
Thanks in advanced.
