Sucks to see ya go but I don't blame you one bit. Unfortunately I'm stuck with mine until late 2012 when I'm eligible for an upgrade. No more Motorola for me. Samsung might be where I go since every HTC phone in our neckofthewoods has very poor or no signal.

I've just been reading up the Charge forums. So far, my impressions were not that of rude behavior though.

Please let's not discuss that part here there are like 3 threads dedicated to this already. My question is have any developers come out and said this or are people just talking out of their anuses? I would love any developer to chime in.

I been following the sensation forums, its been pretty active and a lot of progress is being made. It too bad our 3d forums had to suffer because people could not follow the rules. It looks like whatever is done to the sensation it compatible with our EVOs.

It's the American fashion to want it now now now... But get real. Everyone knew HTC wasn't unlocking it before release and now you expect a billion dollar corporation to drop everything for a small community of users who actually know what a s-off is and want it...and in 30 days or less... This will be a better question to pose 30 days from now... right now we are still in the 30-day window for launch-day purchasers. There is still a frantic effort to unlock this beast and HTC is dealing with the mass of bureaucracy that large companies with partnerships and contracts must deal with.
Obviously the sooner the unlock the better...but the 30-day window is a freebie.
As long as virus is cooking them I'm happy.....

Is it really that funny and honestly trolling how bc I rather have a better phone I can care less about dev work being on this phone it just seems like they pushed out a bit to fast to me and 3d isnt all that great and after my epic kinda fell in love with Samsung. Don't get me wrong had the first evo and the shift and personally I think Samsung makes better hardware. Is that a problem for me to say I rather have the sgs2 and its supposed to be out at the end of the month for what my phone guy told me that works a corporate so idk rumor whatever but so mean for an opinion and yes I guess I will just have to man up till then or get another phone so yea

I got here a little while after Melvin, but I started a thread asking the same question.
He made bull **** claims. Said he had real ICS leaks and bootloader unlocks but only gave out Froyo sbfs.
There was a halfway funny thread started by someone a couple months about Melvins "arrest". Absolutely nothing was proved but it was funny.

I really think this is payback and does more good than harm. All of us put together couldn't do much (read our efforts on BBB complaints) but thanks to M$, we may very well get some well needed payback... However, I am disappointed that the ban doesn't effect newer devices. It seems to be effecting only 3G devices... Is this something related to the radio technology?
I don't effing care if Motorola can never sell a single device from now on, since that is what I exactly want. What do they say, oh yeah: Payback's a *****! Hellya!

You're more than likely right. When they (Motorola) got hip to the infringement, they didn't want to invest resources towards a dying product.

Moto says the issue can be fixed with a patch which would remove the feature.

I was thinking this too, but it's probably because they just did not care about us enough. The X2 was a good phone when it was launched, but it definitely did not receive the hype a phone like the Nexus or Galaxy S III got.
Cool, now if VZ would update my line with an upgrade so I can get rid of this piece once and for all! ..rather than next year :/

Nexus's specs are better too. Nexus has better ram and 4g among otherthings. The nexus radio sucks though.

This is such a non-issue. All Motorola had to do was import enough inventory before the ban took place to cover the future demand.
Slap in the face to Moto, that Google (parent company of Moto) went to Asus to make the first Nexus tablet.............. just saying
My Droid X ear piece speaker crapped out yesterday so I called to get a replacement and they told me there are no more X's in stock which the VZ rep even said he finds that hard to believe. So instead they are sending me a Droid X2. Don't if them suddenly not having any X's in stock has anything to do with the ban since the X was also listed.
T-Mobile just replaced my amaze with a one s! I know some of you may not like it but you gotta admit that's a damn fair swap.
Is there a fully aosp Rom for it yet?
I also read bit paranoid android works flawlessly. Anyone have experience in that?

I *****ed about having to always replace my amaze so I asked for the retention department and after a few minutes of hassle they offered me a 1 s for free with no contract extension. Just go to retention ll be a lot more than customer service

Since you mentioned build quality....I guess I'll just add Im on One S #3. Each exchange done for a different reason. Quite frankly the cheesy plastic sim card cover and how easily it scratches bothers the living hell out of me...which I would say is a part of build "quality".... Oddly still on the same Amaze....and it's my daily.

Ouch thats no good. I didn't have mine long (A month) but my ex wifes has been flawless for a few months. Hasn't had the issues u speak of. Different strokes for different strokes. The Amaze was the beginning of the end of HTC. It has the capabilities and specs... and STILL MY FAV CAMERA, But Quality Assurance dept must have been replaced for cheaper labor... just my opinion
