this morning i was pleased as punch,when i finally worked out after many hours of forum reading,how to ugrade my htc advantage(old faithful)from windos 5 to windows 6,all i needed was your stock rom(doh) now the complete idiot bit,feeling quite cocky with myself i tried to update to windows 6.5 while stile on spl-v1.20 (yes i know now) the problem is my phone is trying to boot to it and it failed at 96 percent,so if i now try to flash a new rom it tells me im upgading from nothing to which ever rom i try.some roms start to flash and then my phone says.not likely and switches itself off.now i know from the x7500 threads on here that theres a way of restoring my non existant radio,but nobody ever puts links to the downloads.please can somebody help many thanks your new idiot

first of all i have been searching the forum all week and not been able to find a solution.
ive been trying to help a friend who has an orange m1000.
he cant say exactly how it happened but hes left with just the serial/usb screen and ver1.03.
i have tried everything i know to get it running again including putting the rom from my o2 xda2 on to sd and trying to boot from that but get
sections 1 unable to load error.
i have downloaded a rom from orange but with not being able to connect to activesync im stuck.
if anyone can give me an idiots guide or point me to an existing one you would have my evrlasting thanks. (i told my friend it would only tak a couple of hours and it's been over a week now)
i dont care what rom it takes as long as i can get it to work again.
I upgraded my I-Mate Jamin yesterday to Profit Shadow 1.0 after following the upgrade guides, doing a Hard SPL, etc. All worked very well. Then I noticed that the volume wasn't as high as I liked, so this morning I flashed it again to Crystal 5.0 (not 5.1) and the volume was no better. Then I looked around and found an older version (dumb me I didn't realize it was a WM5 version) by LVSW (RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID ). This ROM had an extended ROM apparently. All installed OK, then I realized it was a WM5 program (volume still lower than I was looking for), so I decided to flash back to Profit Shadow 1.0 (no errors during the flash, but at the end when I got the HTC screen it went into Bootloader!). That's brings me to my PROBLEM! NO MATTER WHAT I TRY TO FLASH BACK TO, I JUST END UP IN THE BOOT MODE. I can flash LVSW ROM and it works, but NOT for any other ROM!! I have tried everything, read the forums for 6 or 7 hours and I tried everything suggested, but I'm unable to find a solution so I can Flash Back To Profit Shadow 1.0 OR Crystal 5.0. This seems like such a NOOB problem, that's why I searched for hours for a solution (hate to ask for help until I try to help myself first[/I])! Try..
-If you installed ShadoW etc. rom, your SPL is 2.G4.4PDA..
-If you back to WM5, your SPL is 2.20.0001..
-If you want to install again ShadoW, first install HardSPL for increase your SPL to 2.G4.4PDA again, after you can install ShadoW

I had tried the TRADITIONAL Method last night, but it didn't work for me, but this DID work!!! IT SHOULD BE A STICKY STICKY STICKY!!!
you've better.... ( FOR NEW METHOD)
1. After flashing hardSPL for g3 ( step 1) all went ok.
then BEFORE flashing/upgrading your Prophet to WM6,
please copy the 3 files from the jumpspl.zip to the root directory of
your G3 Prophet ( JUST NEXT TO THE " \WINDOWS" FOLDER,
(attachached, pease unzip and copy then paste)
2. UNPLUG YOUR DEVICE from PC,
3. Execute the SPL shortcut IN THE DEVICE, then you see a all bright or white screen,
Then plug back the USB port ( connect to computer) the device, THEN use the Rom Upgrade Utility (RUU) to the rom you like ( all activities can only be seen in the PC screen, nothing will be shown on the prophet....
4. Finally, after 100% ( at 85% may take to wait a bit longer, just be
patient, as it may look like hang for about 2 minutes) just wait, all will went
ok AND OF COURSE, after it auto-restart, ALL will be OKOKOK !!!
( better hard-reset for once more )

hello fellow devs, so something is going around with tmobile leo's i have read that people cant flash ROMs anymore that our LEOs get stuck on the bootscreen. i unfortunetly am one of those. and its really frustraiting.
so i would like to know who else is experincing this issues and how they have delt with it? if anyone has found any solutions/tips/advice please do tell!!

i too had the same issue
after i hard spl my device and flashed an energy rom
my hd2 was stuck on the tmobile stick together boot screen. what i did was run task 29,update my radio to the latest one, format my sdcard in windows and flashed energy rom again with no sd inside. and once that was done, my phone was back to life again, but now im stuck with another issuse. now after all that is said and done my hd2 is still kinda of a paper weight becuase now when trying to watch videos or multitasking on the phone it just randomly freezes

Same problem for me, I have the 1024LEO T-Mobile model and flashed with hspl 3 installed in the beginning with an energy ROM, but after problem to call people, I tried other ROMs and now it seems that the hspl has been removed and no possible to boot.
Even task 29 not anymore possible! With flashing from SD I always have RADIO_V2 - RSA Fail...

something is going on with tmobiles leos im old leo was perfect no problems at all, now i have seen people having these issues.
Now I've flashed the 2.03 ROM but not able to flash newer... And when I insert my SIM, always rebooting...
What can I do? Where is the problem? How flashing newer ROMs to return under hspl?
No issues flashing but battery drain on certain roms, I am thinking the HD2 is the worst phone next to the old Dash that T-mobile had a few years back. Sorry but I am starting to dislike this phone a lot now

Hi I am very new to these forums and the HD2. Today I decided to hspl3 my device and it was successful and i also updated my radio to 2.12.50.02.2 from 2.07.51.22.2. With all that i decided to run android froyo sense v2.4 by run the clrcad and haret. Since i started the haret the phone showed a little text at the top then the HTC Logo (green on black) has been there for 30min +. I dont really know if its supposed to do that as ive seen videos where it has the linux penguin at the top with text.
(As im not really familiar with terminology) is running android flashing or something else? I would also like to know if i have done something wrong as i really would like to run android on it.

+ i don't know if this helps but would i have to have a custom rom to use android?
1st- No .. It's not mandatory to flash a custom rom (But it's Recommended)
For the Android, Did you change the included kernel ? Because sometimes it may make android not to boot .
But if you copied Android folder as it is then try to format your sd card then delete the "Data.img" created inside Android folder and try again .

After thousands words, hundreds attempts I'm giving up and bringing up this discussion on this forum..I really hope your experience and deep knowledge of subject finally will help me..I live overseas and use to order HTC HD2 T-mobile for my friends and some times just for sale..It was my 7-th T-mobile HTC HD2 when I got problem with flashing custom ROM...I installed HSPL 2.08 and started to flash my usual custom ROM via USB for T-mobile 1024,I took out sim card and memory stick before flashing..When I finished I did a soft reset and got frozen STICK TOGETHER screen...Phone just stuck...Forgot to say that before flashing I format device with Task 29..So I format it again and flash one more time,process itself was successful , but again I got STICK TOGETHER and that's it...I decided to flash another radio, CORRECT one (50) special fot T-mobile 1024, after several updates error phone just died..I got a brick, I couldn't even go to bootloader mode..I reanimate device with JTAG, and tried almost all official ROMs, I flashed them via usb, using memory card..Sometimes during flashing it stopes and I have to reboot, sometimes i got a sign on screen that update is completed, but when I turn device on nothing happened..I tried MTTY method, didn't help...I don't really know what to do now..May be I missed something important but as I said I'm not a noob already, and have red tonnes of information regarding flashing ROMS... I had similar issues, it turned out to be a haware problem. HTC replaced the main board in the phone.

I flash ROM first and after i got problems with booting tried to resolve with flashing radio...anyway I guess it is hardware problems...It's vibrating time to time i go to boot loader mode,however it is ok when I reinstall HSPL, I still can see WE hacked it ...tofay I flashed an Ebergy ROM and it said that update was successful, but again when I turn device on I stuck on STICK TOGETHER ..Damn it,I'll try to flash radio, because I haven't had a success with it..By the way what abo0ut goldcard method, I don't really know what is it and how it can help..thanks
