You don't have them backed up to G+, Picassa or dropbox through any kind of instant upload? Do you have a backup in clockworkmod you can restore? Unless you backed something up they might be gone... sorry

There is a free program called recuva.
You could download this and let the program search for wiped files.
Its not fot android.
Install it on a computer and connect your tab.
If you did not rewrite the free space there is a good chance
To get your photo's back.
Good luck.

I doubt this will work since the Tab is not seen as mass storage, but rather as a media device. All programs that restore wiped files that I've seen need a storage device to work.
Do you have the Google+ app installed? If you do, there's a high chance you had "Instand Upload" enabled, meaning you should have a backup of your pictures on your Google+ account.
Other then finding a backup of your pictures somewhere, I doubt you'll manage to do much (there have been other similar threads, nobody found a program that could recover directly from Android or work with connecting the Tab to PC as far as I know).
Hope you find a way to get your pictures back!

[Q] Bump App random Photos

I posted this over at AC and didnt get a nimble maybe someone here knows how to fix it. I was going to "bump" photos to a friend and in the photo section in that app it had a million photos that I have already deleted. I have looked in all the directorys I could think of and cant find these phantom photos. I want to delete them permanently. They are definitely deleted them from "my albums" and dont show up in there. Please help. Thanks!

I do not know much about the app outside of the basics, but is it possible that there is some kind of "bump cache" that it is pulling the images from and it is not getting cleared when you delete the image? Just a QUICK reading of the FAQ, it sounds like you need to update the information you want to share with each adjustment to that info.
Again, that was a quick read through and I may be wrong
and find this where?? there isnt a "bump" folder on my SD card. I have no clue where they r coming from
I dont have this app on my phone but, i would suggest un mounting and removing your memory card...go into your gallery (or what ever way your finding these phantom photos) and see if they are still there. I know this won't actually help you find them. It will just verify that they are in fact somewhere on your sd card... but which file..what are they named ??? i dont know. The permissions list for said app says it wants to modify contacts and other setting..maybe deleting and re-doing the particular contact that you sent all the photos to will fix it ? Again I dont know much about how files are stored or modified by apps that we put on our phone, but if I had this problem I would start there and if it is in fact some where on your sd then you could copy all files on your sd to a pc and at least if you delete something you weren't supposed to you could always copy that file back from said pc...just my .02 good luck I'm sure someone has also had this problem...when in doubt google can be your best friend sometimes!

What you really meant to say was...."I was messing with my phone and screwed up" ;-)
I think its safe to say kiss that stuff goodbye.
You want the USB mod wherever that is otherwise no chance .

Mass storage mod only works for external Sd.
You could use ext4 restore utilities on the phone, but so far I've not had a single positive experience when trying to restore ext3/ext4 contents.
Sorry to say, but your data is probably gone.
good luck, but i dont think your gonna see it again.
Try hexamob recovery.u might be lucky
That is exactly why all my phone stuff is always backed up on my computer and on my NAS...
Samsung hasn't included Dropbox to sit idly.
I recommend the following:
Titanium Backup to external Sd and Dropbox
Dropsync to sync your files during the night
Sms Backup+ to have a copy of Sms/Call log on Gmail
Sync contacts to Google
Of course a local Nas is better if you don't have a flatrate or a slow internet connection.
However then you'll add a further device where stuff can potentially go wrong.
I prefer offsite. At least when your house burns down and you loose everything you know that your party pictures noone cares about (including you) are safely stored away.

Hmmm they might be permanently gone but you can try something like ES File Explorer, OI File Manager, or Root Explorer and go to either your pictures folder or DCIM folder and see if they're still there. Good luck!

Nope not there whem using those.. guess I need to get on my moms comp and use a file retrieval software. She did a qucik scan. Amd uncovered a few photos. But for one reason or another I keep having to stop the search early.
Im hoping since its a 64gb card the dcim folder isnt being written over.. once I recognized wat happened I stoppex sing it. Still open to suggestions!

Get a computer with linux or a linux livecd. Install testdisk.
It has a program called photorec which will recover everything. It's easy to use. Google it.
Good luck!

Is this the same program as photorec for windows? I used the windows version and it did bring back about 30 photos. The strange thing is the ones it brought back were in the middle of pictures. Like my oldest pictures and my newest pictures did not come back. I'm wondering if the program testdisk would work on this, bringing back partitions or something. It seems most of these programs are designed to bring back photos after they were deleted which I didn't do. This sucks!!
Still hoping I can get them back somehow. Any other programs out there? I tried Recuva and Photorec.

no need to be rude.... i've been looking but i have not found anything pertaining USB removable drive or with recovering pictures
I once recovered a few pictures by downloading an app from the play store, unfortunately I don't remember which one. I did it immediately after deleting my pictures, it's worth a shot.

try an app called dumpster or recycle bin
Try Quetek File scavenger. I've recovered a ton of deleted photos with it. LUCK!
good luck! i know how it feels to be freaking out over something i deleted
Undelete works well, you have to have root access. Worked well for me.
You can use photo recovery tool to scan your HTC phone and get back your files. Here's some tutorials
HTC phone data recovery
Recover deleted files from android phones
hope this helps.

Questions about Whatsapp backup/restore

Hi guys, usually when you're going to format/change another roms for your phone,
how did you backup your whatsapp chat/pictures/videos ?
(Not to mention the newer version of whatsapp that can upload to GD)
Because usually what I do is connect phone to PC and copy the entire Whatsapp file to PC, once I done format, copy it back to phone and install back Whatsapp and restore.
But I notice that some pictures might be gone or replace by other pictures twice or above.. but the chat history is ok
Any solution to fix? or this is normal situation?
You will be hard pressed to get a good answer. Most here have stopped using whatsapp almost a year ago and have moved on to more secure options.
Well most users in the states. I know it is popular in other countries. Like India. Maybe one of those members will have an idea.

Any idea guys?
Any helps?
U should install titaniyum backup. apk from plystore and backup all apk with data.or u can back up only data when u installed a new rom or new version of whatsapp.
Try it dear
Just move whatsapp folder from your internal storage to sd card and then after flashing move it back to internal.
Or use titanium backup.

Say I have formatted my phone, then do I move the whole WA folder to the internal storage after reinstalling WA or before that?
