Search Google for a Rom Manager apk and download it either to your phone or to a computer and move it to your SD card then install it.
Use AIO toolbox and use that to install a 2.2 ROM. It will put cwm recovery to install the ROM. And from there you can get it from the market.
I am having the same problem. I ODINed back to stock, rooted, and went to the market and there is no free version on the ROM Manager there anymore. I tried googleing for one, found it and then tried installing and got a "parsing error". Now im stuck on a holding pattern until I can find one. SUCKSSSSSSSSSSS

This is the ticket. Its the option b update.zip . I had tried flashing it before but forgot I needed to do it twice. Jstewart- download the update.zip, put it on the root of your internal SD card, then use the 3 button method to reboot into recovery, o nce there scroll to reinstall packages, select it, you will see the yellow recovery text scrolling and then it will return to stock recovery, select reinstall packages again and it should send you into CWR. It helps if you already have your chosen ROM downloaded because you can install the zip directly from here, if you reboot you without flashing new ROM you still wont have the app but next time you go to recovery it will be stock again, just reinstall packages once more to get back to CWR and then proceed to flash away.
Now, can someone hook me up with the CM 7 Googleapps.zip?

I had a guy odin my vibrant from 4.4 ics back to 2.1 eclair due to my generic imei and 911 calling issues. Now, I have the same problem as mentioned above. He told me not to mess with the update.zip file. What do you guys say? I was able to download rom manager but get an error when trying to flash cwr. Is there any way around this? Please help, I'm stuck with this bad rom until I get the cwr installed so I can go back to WeUI 1.0.

I think I know why I used to get the p-a-r-s-e error. These apps were simply not compatible with the eclair rom. Rom Manager v4.7.0.2 is compatible with eclair, installed, and flashed recovery without issues. I am now on my way to restore my WeUI
---------- Post added at 03:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:23 PM ----------
Update: I was happy for few minutes until running into another issue in the recovery. During the update, it says:
E:Can't open /cache/update.zip
(bad)
Installation aborted.
Any suggestions?

You have to put the update.zip on the root of your phone(meaning no folder). When you connect your phone to your pc and click your internal storage it should be at the very bottom and NOT in a folder.

It's always been there. The problem lies somewhere else..
It happens when I choose the "Install ROM from SD card" option. I choose the rom from my sd card (root, next to update.zip file). It reboots and gives the error.

I used this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/show... . I followed method A the Root Only Method)(and have root just fine. But like so many others, Rom Manager will not flash clockworkmod Recovery. My question is, even though I already have root, can I proceed with the B part
B " INSTALL CLOCKWORK RECOVERY AND FLASH A ROM THAT WILL GIVE ROOT ACCESS (MY PREFERRED METHOD):
– use the other update.zip (1.7MB) and this will flash CWR for you – allowing you to immediately flash a custom ROM.. . What I mean is....Can I do this method even though I already have Root...without wrecking my Samsung Vibrant. I have the original stock eclair rooted and have done nothing to the phone except rooting it via the Root only method. Any ideas? Should this work for me?

Yes you will be fine doing that, custom ROMs come rooted so that's why everyone usually skips option A unless they plan on staying on 2.1 eclair.

Where in the process are you getting these errors? There are multiple steps to installing ICS that this could occur. What ROM are you running right now? If stock, is it 2.1 or 2.2? Do you have CWR installed? Is it installed with Update.zip or through ROM Manager? Did you flash CM7 before ICS?
Simply putting that you got this error is not enough information for us to diagnose and help.
Edit::: also please don't spam the other posts with "Good" or "Great to hear that" to get your post count up like was done in Themes and Apps section. There are many threads to that you can post in to get the count up legitimately.

That is the problem. Go to my guide in the General or in my sign and follow it.
it rooted? you have the right CWM rec on it? im not a pro but i know that might be it
You must install CyanogenMod 7 before install a ICS rom.

I happen to me the first time I load the Passion 13. So I delete the passion zip file from where I will load it (download folder in my case), then redownload the passion 13 zip file and copy it to the download folder. It works for me.

this is what i did, when helping my friend boot it up,
you have to make sure your rooted
then install ClockWorkMod recovery onto the phone,
then install CM7 after it boots back to recovery
then wipe data and cache
then install ics passion wait for it to boot all the way back to recovery for the last time
install the clean up patch and the phone will work perfect
i had the same problem, thats what i had to do make sure it worked perfect

what if you didn't let let it settle for 20 minutes? I didn't most of thing seems alright, except that the dial keys seem to be sticky if I hold it a hair too long, like when you try to do quick dial, the key will stay selected and you can't dial other numbers until it unstick.
I'm using Passion 13, not sure if I have kiss 2.2.
A question for everyone: can't Passion 13 or ICS for Vibrant in general let you assign phone number for quick dial? You have to use direct dial widget?

Usually a boot into recovery, fix permission and wipe cache and dalvik cache will clear this up. But sometimes it is just a bad download too.

It is always a good idea to let the phone go through a "settling" period after you flash it. There are RAM tweaks to finish, media scanning and a host of other things that need to be completed as you just installed a completely new operating system on your phone. Especially don't log into Market or Titanium and start restoring as this can cause problems long term. What is 20 mins compared to problems and hassles for the next few days/weeks.
If you don't know if you have Kiss 2.2 on your phone, then you don't have it b/c you have to flash it. See HERE
This thread Will eventually Passout

I even get the green light when my phone is stuck on the animation, my phone even recognises that the phone is connected to the pc but still i get no response from the device its self to boot up out of the animation. My phone recognises all button touches (volume keys) but after flashing with both the rsd method and non rsd method it still won't work. I have even tried re downloading the rom but no luck
If you're getting to the boot animation it won't be a hard brick. Flash again, try using Fla**** instead of RSD, then wipe.both data and cache from stock recovery.

However i figured out after a while that if i recently tried to update to 2.3.6, my phone must be trying to upload something from the sd, so i removed my sd card and instantly i was put into the home launcher

You're on ICS. The CM10 ROM is still ICS-based because you haven't replaced the kernel nor the bootloader. Unless, of course, you've never updated your Droid RAZR from Gingerbread to ICS.

thanks but my phone is GSM :|
Just download a stock-ish version of ics for your model on your computer, transfer it to your external SD card via card reader on your PC. Put the SD card back in your phone.
Wipe everything, except external SD of course.
Flash the stock-ish rom like you would any other. And you'll have to set your phone back up again, but it will be usable again.

Regarding dragonzkiller's thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1912280 on [ROM][ALPHA][JB]CyanogenMod 10 Alpha 3 for the Droid X2. I've rooted two devices, the OG Droid and my X2 so I'm not unfamiliar with the process but some of the items I need to get CM 10 on my X2 I'm not sure where to find. In the article it's said I need the following:
-Install the BSR (patched if on an AOSP based ROM, unpatched if on BLUR)
-Reboot into the BSR
-NANDROID
Where can I find BSR and NANDROID? I have Rom Manager and Titanium Backup Pro on my X2 currently. Rom Manager never reboots into recovery for me for some reason and TB Pro does but I don't see an option to select NANDROID.
Any help would be really appreciated! I'm tried of running 2.3.5 all this time.
Dont use ROM manager for that kind of stuff. Best not to use it at all with the Droid X2 actually. The BSR IS the recovery for the X2. It can be found in the CM7 thread. And a nandroid is just a backup of your ROM that you make yourself within the recovery. Its not a file provided. Its a good idea to backup your ROM before installing stuff. That way you can restore it if things go wrong.

Thank you for the reply jsgraphicart.
Good to know on Rom Manager, never has worked right.
I'll go look in the CM7 thread for the BSR, now that you say what it is I might actually have that somewhere after reading when it initially became available.
So if TB Pro can get me into recovery what else do so I can do a nandroid backup? I don't see an option to do that?

You are probably booting into the stock recovery, which doesnt have that option. You need to install the custom recovery (BSR) to do that.

Yes, get it from the CM7 thread. Just install it like you would install an app from your SD card. Its the same thing. Use a file browser app and navigate to the apk file then tap it. It will walk you through the rest. Once you have it installed you will have the app in your app drawer called system recovery or something like that. Open it and follow the directions to get into BSR. You have to have your phone plugged into an outlet though. Even though it says plug your phone into nothing. If your are on CM10, you need a file called hijack.zip and will have to place that in a certain location before using BSR. Check out the CM10 thread. The last few posts were talking about that. And the file was posted on the last page. I hope I'm not forgetting anything.

I'm sorry to ask more questions but I'm finally ready to update and I'm getting an error. First thing I'm wondering is this is one of those things where I have to be on 2.3.4? I'm on 2.3.5.
The error is:

E:Error in /sdcard/cm10.zip
(Status 7)
Are you running CM on your X2? Why is there so little available for the X2?
