Hi all
I'm running stock unrooted XLPQ (ICS) on my GS2 and using the Apex launcher.
Now I noticed that TWLauncher is still running in the background. Will force stopping it (settings -> applications -> all -> TWLauncher -> Force stop) help in any way? (either battery life or whatever)
or
Do I just leave and ignore it
Thanks

Hi,
I have a Galaxy S2 International which has been running CM7 for a few months. A few days ago I started using Go Launcher. However, I installed a ICS theme for Go Launcher and after restarting it I can't open most apps (Google Play, Phone, Gmail, Whatsapp, Titanium Backup, etc) as they force quit as soon as opening them and android.process.acore also crashes repeatedly. If I go to settings and try to uninstall Go Launcher and the ICS theme they uninstall very quickly (almost instantly) and when I reboot the phone they are reinstalled again? Is there any way I can fix this without wiping? Thank you.
Also, I cannot do a Nandroid backup.
I am using in my CM9 in my vibrant after a brick and installing a 2.1 rom, I can not downloading more applications after installing some small applications, does anyone have a definitive solution to this problem? Thank you.
I can't tell if you're on cm 9 or 2.1 right now but...
On 2.2 disabling voodoo always worked for me, if you're using it give that a shot.
If you're running CM9 you might be running low on space in your /datadata partition. Tell it not to use it with this command that you can run in terminal emulator:
Code:
su
touch /datadata/.nodatadata
(Had to Google the correct command/what it is myself)
I've been able to get around that by clearing the data for the Market/Google Play Store app.
System Settings -> Applications -> Manage -> All -> (Market/Store app) -> Clear Data.
I played with ics for a few months and never had that issue. The only time I ever have is on 2.2 roms with voodoo. I remember seeing a thread about this a long time ago too, I think it was in the i9000 forums though. Other than that the only time I've had that error before was way back on the g1 when I actually ran out of space lol

This has worked for me on froyo. Google play kept popping up with a space error when trying to download new apps.
anyone know how?
open Omega Files > Launchers > TouchWiz Launcher > Download Stock and flash it

Done this: Downloaded stock TW, then installed it with CWM, but after reboot, I've got 'Unfortunately, TouchWiz Home has stopped' and the same in a cycle.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
After I installed official 4.1.2 LSW, I set the play store to not automatically put a widget for a new app onto my homescreen. Since installing NeatROM 4.8 lite, plus the latest Philz kernel, everytime I install an app, a widget pops onto the homescreen, even though the playstore settings still direct that to not happen. So, is there some other control in Settings or somewhere to disable that?
I don't know what launcher your rom is running but with the launcher I use (apex) I have the option to 'lock the homescreen' which prevents widgets from being added or removed. Have a look in your launchers settings to see if the option is there.......
Sent from my rooted, de bloated, stock JB powered S2 via PhilZ kernel and XDA developers app
Since updating the firmware the option to be able to bring up and lock apps no longer exists.
I initially tried changing convenience tools > navigation buttons but I believe it's because nova launcher and colorOS.
When I try to go to Nova settings and select default launcher, it just says default home app - No apps.
I've tried restarting nova launcher and backup & import settings > reset to default.
Any help would be appreciated.
