Market apps... - HTC Rezound

So i bought an app for my rezound and it worked great while i was on ics, went back to gb and now it says incompatible for my device. Is there a way to make it work. Im 99% sure if i had the apk i could install it, its just blocked on the market.

new market rolled out officially or no?

Has anyone received the new market officially yet?
When its official, you will get it. The only other way is to side-load it and deal with the problems that come with that.
yeah i was just wondering if it was just me, something wrong with my phone or something.
My buddy has an unrooted dx2 and he got it?????? But my wife and kids still have the old market on the og Evo and 3d. Hmmmmm

[Q] Anyone's tethering cut off by Verizon yet?

Reference:

I just tried today and my tether is working great. Just wondering if this is affecting anyone and what app you are using.
This has actually been going on for a while. Most of the traditionally used tething apps stopped working some time ago. Even on rooted roms. There are still some work arounds out there, and I haven't heard of them being stopped yet.
You can tell the author is familar with Android phones in that they referred to a "jailbroken" motorola X. You can't hide, iphone users!!!!

Good catch lol.
I use barnacle and it works great for me! I just wish I could choose a password that's not 5 or 13 characters.

Verizon blocked from the market but that's about as much as they can physically stop

FoxFi

I'm sure this has been discussed but I am on leak 211 and had an issue setting up tether. Someone recommended FoxFi app from play store and it is perfect! I rarely tether but needed it yesterday and this is a gem. No real setting up. Just download and turn on. Wanting to share.
Discovered it myself about a month ago. Great app!

I wasn't able to get it to work myself since I use the tether to connect my tablet. I was however able to get the SQLLite Edit Hack to work a treat and that is fab!
Foxfi
I was recently on vacation and was able to use this app to tether my tablet. It worked perfectly and I got great speeds on the tablet. Favorite tether app so far.
I have been using FoxFi for a while now, and I hoped that it would work on ICS and it works fine! I love that app. I wish there was a pay version to donate to the developer.
This app is "Awesome" I love it and is a definite "must have" in any app drawer...

Still cant get it to connect on .211. The tether hack worked for me for awhile but have to keep restarting phone and may work may not. Worked great on gingerbread

Using WIFI I got 6.5Mbps dl/5Mbps ul.
GB 2.3.6
WIFI Tether doesn't work - activates hotspot
Barnicle doesn't work either
I cant get this thing to work anymore. Worked fine first two times, but now connects and has no internet access on my laptop. Haven't changed settings on their.
Edit: Uninstalled and everything worked again. I guess that's the only way to fix it if it stops working.
I'm still not having any luck. It will connect but no access. I can get just a little bit of data to pull then connection times out. I seen of foxfi app in the market they said should work better with droid razr ics update. I think they realize the problem. Hope it gets fixed. The hack does exactly the same thing. Not sire what it could be.

Didn't work for me on 211 until I installed the FoxFi addon v3011
Tried that as well.

Crap. I don't know what to try. I just reset my phone to factory and still no luck. Not sure what could be wrong. Me and the family going camping soon and really wish I had tether working.

How far do you get until you have problems?
I can get to connect but no data transferred. Tried changing names ever tether app all the same. The hack the same way. Nothing will allow data to transfer upload or download. Sometimes I can get a little then cuts me off. Perfect signal as well.

Still no luck. Anyone figure this out yet. Pissed me off to no end. Guess I'll try and get back to gingerbread. Screw ice cream sandwich if they changed it to were we cant tether anymore.

Well never did fix the problem with stock .214..... But I did flash Deodexed 6.16.211 foxfi works wonderful.. Typing from my laptop tethered now.... Glad I got it back... Your device is running Android 4.0.3 (ICS) You can read about what version it's running from the settings>about menu. Android code names can be read from Google or Wikipedia. There are plenty of reasons the GS3 seems 'cooler' but only you can decide which you'd rather have, as they both run radically different UI overlays, even though they're running roughly the same version of Android (GS3: 4.0.4). Your EVO LTE is fully capable of running Jelly Bean officially. However, there are currently no stable daily driver worthy Jelly Bean custom ROMs available. As for an update to Jelly Bean? Only HTC and Sprint know the answers to that, but I assume like all the other EVOs, it will survive an update to at least one higher Android version, Jelly Bean being that version. When? I wouldn't expect one for quite a while. Your 4G icon was indeed LTE, because your phone does not have a WiMAX radio and the icon you saw is precisely what you should be seeing.

Yeah it's Ics 4.0.3 but themed a lot by sense and literally what your looking for spec wise I think it's exactly like the s3 spec wise IMHO, and I had the s3 returned it to get the EVO because the s3 physical build quality suck, I can't deal with the plastic and if you think the s 3 Is cool go and get that you have 14 days til you get charged a other activation fee or 30 days in most store its honestly your opinion both are great phones literally I view them as the same except one HTC one Samsung, HTC just caters to the features I like the camera is amazing and dedicated button also plus lcd is better on my eyes and I like the color better not so saturated.
And yes of course the phone can run jelly bean there's unofficial roms that work really good and as for a official update who knows lte hasn't been getting so much love I remember reading a article where sprint or HTC forgot which got bashed on for not advertising it and blaming as that's the reason it failed mainstream ( that's why you see a lot more EVO commercials now if you haven't noticed), but either way we will be getting a 100% working jelly bean one way or the other.
And for the icon I wouldn't know but common sense would say it's the because I don't remember this phone supporting 4G wimax
So dude its your decision ones really mainstream the other is like it's neglected twin both are the same one just got advertised well and at the same time doesn't change the hardware though so have fun contemplating.....
Fyi most of this is my humble opinion the rest is common sense read the forums posts and relax dude its a phone........ and heck I didn't even know there was a jelly bean port until after 2 weeks I dived into some old title post but frequently posted on.... Learned a lot that day Haha

I just wanted to note that my wife has the gsIII and I have the EvoLTE- and I can say the only difference I can tell between the two are..
EvoLTE:
better screen
better camera (pictures)
better UI
kickstand/physical camera button
GSIII
better external speaker
bigger screen ( you can really tell a difference when they are side by side )
2gigs of ram
But really both still have the small lag problems. With the EvoLTE having less lag and I don't see this problem being fixed without JB or a custom rom..
also battery life on both are about the same..

i thought...fromw hat i have read..that the gsIII only comes with 2gig ram if you get a world edition. but i must have read wrong somewhere. hmmmmm
Yea I was under the impression you have not read anything ..the s4 version (dual core) has the 2 gb of RAM...so that includes the US version...play with both and make a decision..the dev scene here has picked up a lot lately
Given that the GS3 is locked and you will have to lay down serious bank for the Developer Edition that's going to drop soon, the LTEVO has a serious edge there as well.

Android 4.4 KitKat?

The phrase (or variations of it) "KitKat is slimmed down so it can work on older devices, even some with as little as 512 MB of RAM." keeps getting thrown around. The Evo 4G LTE isn't exactly archaic, and has 1 GB of RAM. Do you think there's a chance that this will get 4.4? Or is HTC done with this phone after our 4.3 rolls out?

In terms of officially coming to the EVO, there are just so many ways to say this - never, not in a million years, absolutely not, no way jose, no chance lance, nuh uh, neinte, zip, zilch, zero chance, and of course my favorite one - man falling off a cliff: NOOOOOOOoooooooooo!....Boom!
We are barely going to get 4.3, and even that isn't official until the day that we download it.
