So I was on hboot 1.5 (2.17) and wanted to downgrade. Calls, sms and data were all working fine. Did a nandroid, downgraded successfully and ran 1.13 ruu.
Booted up and still had all working, now with hboot 1.4 so I did revolutionary method for s-off and it seemed it wiped all my data, sms and calls.
Had weird phone # (00000728, something like that) but I had a backup I made on QPST so I restored and had calls and sms back but not data.
I restored my nandroid hoping there was a chance but nothing happened. When I turn mobile network on, I keep getting error code 67 and can't surf the web.
Also, I'm on a Mexican network (Iusacell) and my EVO is CDMA.
Any ideas of what can I do?

before root had that problem. went to update profile under settings -- system updates and that fixed it.
Do a hands free activation to get your data back. ##72786# then it will ask you to enter you MSL and then let it do its thing. It will check for prl and software updates. Make sure you press cancel for software updates. You should be good to go then.

Had the same issue a while back, I did all those tricks from before and still had the same error. I had to call up my service provider and then ended up resetting my network/data connection and it was fixed.
I also had it happen again but this was was due to a second error. I was running an airwave and I just had to reboot it and it was fine again.

This is correct. This is a problem on the carriers end and you need to call and have them reprovision your line. Fast and easy.

Hey guys. I've had my EVO for a while and I've been flashing roms like a fiend, recently I've been stuck on 1x for a few days now. I switched to a stock based ROM and updated all my stuff. Called sprint and they reset my connection and its still on 1x. They want me to go into a store because they think its the phone. Any last minute ideas? Should I s-on or anything. Im also worried about them switching out the phones and me being able to root the new one.
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
in dialer dial ##DATA# click edit mode enter you msl click data profile then hit the settings(?) button on the bottom of phone click restore reboot phone let it do its thing see if that helps
And if you do end up bringing it in, normally a fresh flash of a completly stock ROM will work, as long as you don't have a custom splash screen they shouldn't notice s-off.
They would try to do an update which will include 1.5 bootloader.( I've seen someone who did this and ended up with 1.5 boot, with s-off as a result, but who knows what was done to it in the store)
Go with the instructions above my post, worth a shot..
Shot from my sharp shooter in 3d
cleanrom2.9.5
Tried restoring, no luck still on 1x. I don't want to be stuck on hboot 1.5 don't they not have s off yet?

I'm not sure. This nocturnal Rom won't tell me. It updated the prl when I restored though.

I have both the SGS3 and the EVO 4GLTE. I switch between the two phones every now and then. The problem is when I activate the evo via the Sprint website, I get the constant error code 67 message. Doing a ##scrtn# or ##rtn# reset doesn't help. It goes through the activation but data doesn't work. I can make phone calls...
When I activate the SGS3 I don't have any of these issues.
How do I get data to work on the evo 4g lte without having to call Sprint tech support?
Have u tried updating profile and prl? Long shot but it worked for me in similar situation

Yah I tried this but it didn't work.
Data Call Failures.. How I hate them. My first EVO failed when updating profile, and I lost data and texting for good on it. No EPST codes would work with it, nothing would happen.
I would suggest bringing it into a Sprint store.

Yah but I don't want to do that all the time when I activate the evo 4g lte. Also kinda afraid that the will update the hboot.
Very weird this time when in switched over, I was able to do with ##scrtn# and activated and provisioned properly and data is working.
I have been having problems with sending and receiving text messages. Well to be honest I can't at all. I called cs and they wanted me to accept an update. I am rooted so of course I didn't go through with it and I did not let her know I did not go through with it. I just told her it didn't work. My question is should I unroot and go through with the troubleshooting?

did you just root? try this:
Once you reboot, let hands free activation finish. Or go settings-> activate. If it does not complete or something doesn't work, like sms, try making a phone call (not *2 or an 800 number, an actual call. call your mother!) If that does not work, just stay on the line and you should be connected to a Sprint rep that will refresh your phone. then update your profile and prl, in settings -> system updates. (info from the rooting/panda threads)
it sounds like you need a refresh to me. I'm not sure they can force an ota update onto your phone, I think they just re-authorizing your account on the sprint network, but someone else can confirm that before you trust me on it.
if you just did lazy panda s-off, you definitely need to do this now.
good luck man

Last night I decided to try to update my prl through the updater in Sense and I got an error code 1233. Called sprint tech support and spent an hour trying to get it fixed. The tech ended up just sending me a new phone, which a huge buzz kill because I've had hboot 1.12 since the beginning with s-off. Was running toasted-deck from irc, and I don't know if that had anything to do with my phone getting screwed up so I figured I'd ask if anyone else has had this problem? I want to unlock this new phone when I get it too, and I'm really going to miss TD if this is a common problem.
I got the same thing while trying to update my firmware.

OF wouldn't accept a new phone there's a method of fixing it with WiFi and checking HTC updates then rebooting
cm10ed 3VO
I was getting this too. I had to run an errand up to another major city north of where I live. While there, I figured I'd give it a shot again, and it worked there. If you get the opportunity, try running it in a different area from where you tried.
I'm surprised that they are sending you a new phone for this.

I searched high and low for a fix before I even called Sprint Tech. Any chance you can point me in the right direction? I'll just send them their locked down phone back if I can fix this one.

Unfortunately I did try in a few different areas. I live in Cincinnati and go to school in Dayton, but got the same error in both places. I really wonder how this even happened because I never had a problem running AOSP on my OG EVO so I don't think that could be it.
I had this happen on my 3D and when it did work it only connected to Verizon....weird I know and even the tech couldn't believe but I did a data reset on it and never had that problem again.

OK i flashed to mean rom and now I'm able to update prl and profile without getting the error, as for the busy tone it was gv, i signed out of gv the calls went thru then i signed back in and get the busy signal again, which sucks because that's never happened before till now.

I had the same problem a few days ago. I was Running CM10 and switched over to Stock w/ Goodies to update my PRL and Profile so i can take advantage of LA's new LTE network but i kept getting that error. I ended up unrooting and relocking my phone and restored to complete stock after that it updated fine the first time. I doubt being rooted prevents you from updating either the PRL or Profile.
I was getting the same error code at work. I googled the code ansomeone said it was a connection problem. I believe this because I never get a good signal at work. When I got home my prl updated. I'm on meanrom.
Easy Fix
Turn off WiFi and LTE radio (CDMA only) and try it. You should be able to update the PRL and Profile.
As "zAcHcOmA" mentioned, I also gave them a Thanks for it.. I had the same issue with "Error Code 1233".
My problem started when I noticed every incoming call I tried to answer thru the Handset would basically act as if I missed the call. Seems I didn't have an issue answering through Blue Tooth though. Not exactly sure what is causing this. I'll keep an eye on it after updating my PRL & Profile. Anyways, I did the following and was able to update both PRL & Profile..
1. Make sure Wireless is off
2. Set network to by going to Settings - Mobile Data - Network Mode "CDMA only"
3. I was then able to update both PRL & Profile through System Updates and I then rebooted my phone.
I'll now find out if my issue is resolved or if I still have on going issues.
So after working with Sprint with morning and messing with it all day I am at a lost and have taken to XDA to find the cure.
My LTE stopped working properly over the past, well ever since i got it actually, but ever since LTE went live in Chicago i have not been able to keep a mobile connection. I have been switching back and forth between my og EVO and my LTE. I went back to my LTE and long story short I can make calls and texts and the WiFi works but I have no mobile network. It shows the bars but has no 1x or 3g or 4g icon. I have had Sprint reset the phone and re-active it numerous times and still nothing. Anyone have an idea how to get it back? even by going through ##3828# ?
on a side note, when Sprint re-activated the phone and reset it when i booted the phone back on it did NOT do a hand free activation.
Please Help
EDIT: also it won't do Firmware, PRL, Profile updates....

I did, my phone will not update PRL or PRI, it just loads and loads. And Sprint never can help me I have called today.
I just got a glimpse of 3G!! So I opened Titanium Backup and i got this "message" (see attached) I clicked "restore the previous ID" and my 3G icon went on for about 10 seconds and then went away again and has not reappeared.
I am also having this problem as of today...just randomly happened....Just keeps "Looking for Service" wifi works, but nothing else does.....hmmmmmm
Mine though has no bars, just an x above the bars....won't call/text/anything....hmmmmm
Mine does this occasionally. Especially while using WiFi. X over signal, looking for service. I started a thread but didn't get a reply. For me, rebooting the phone restores the signal. It hasn't happened for a while so hopefully fixed itself somehow.

Just got off the phone... all they wanted to do was a profile update. Data Profile reset and then a Factory Reset.
All of which I have tried before. Finally she told me I had to take it into a Sprint service center because their is something physically wrong with the phone because the hands free activation would never activate.
READ!!!!!! ----> She mentioned something under her breath that I don't think she wanted me to hear. She asked if I was in Illinois. When I said yes I am in the Chicago Suburb area she quietly said "oh.. there is an outage in your area" HMMMM Interesting.

Mind you, I have had 5 different employees for Sprint attempt to get my phone to do the hands free activation and none of them could.
