[Q] MiniCMSandwish AOSP vs FXP CM9 - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

What is the difference between the MiniCMSandwish and FXP CM9 ROMs?

as i have noticed the main difference it is the customization options fxp is purely cm9 and minicmsandwich is like aokp here http://forum.aokp.co/page/news it is not that famous as cm9 but they have pretty nice customization options.
as of the kernel i haven't tried the last fxp 114 but kamarush rc3 kernel it's pretty nice it has a lot of governors and i/o schedulers to chose so i prefer it over fxp.
hope it helps!

I've tried both and MiniCM is much more stable. Also, due to supporting little ammount of devices and not being just a port-job, MiniCM it's far more optimized and suitable for daily usage.

i would also go with MiniCM, just waiting for the remaining bugs to be ironed out...

I used both ROMs and MiniCM is much more stable + it has less bugs. Also the battery life is much better then FXP's

miniCMSandwich is faster than FXP CM9.

[Q] Is there going to be a CyanogenMod based on 2.3.3

When we were on 2.1 there were lots of CM roms. Is 2.6.29 kernel going to make problems for devs to implement a CM rom?
Yup it will be ..i think everyone is waitin for DoomLord's Kernel ... as soon as he develops it then.... its the Start everyone's waiting for !!
Hope u got a bit ..
Thank me if it did!!
The FreeXperia Project.
Z, J and B are developing the CM7.
FXP012 released now.

these brilliant guys need time.
Having 2.3.3 made no difference in FreeXperia. Hope new kernel appears soon. I prefer CM specially because of its great support for RTL languages.

If you want a custom rom with all functions like stock but much faster&smoother, then you should maybe try the rom from the thread in my signature until cm7 is ready fully functional. Only thing missing is wifi tethering in this rom.

L
Thanks Lucas for your suggestions. I've been on WB since day one and I'm very happy with WB. I just prefer CM7 thats all, and I'll be waiting for this forums great devs to implement in our device.
There are a lot already!
There are a lot of CM7 2.3.3+ already, the main problem is that until Kernel sources for GB is released camera and other stuff won't work at max or won't work at all.
exactly.
So we have to wait again. ;-)

[Q] Whats the best X10 Mini Pro Rom?

Im using now MiniCM7Pro, as you can see on my signature, so... What rom do you think is the best for U20i?
- MiniCM7Pro (by paul-xxx)
- Ginger-T0n (by slade87)
- Mini CM6 (by slade87)
- Ginger-DX v007 (by D4rKn3sSyS)
- SonyBread v5 (by paul-xxx)
Remember to give all the credits to them!
I ran on Paul's rom a few days (from V4 o V6) and then I tried GingerDX v007 which runs faster in my opinion. Also it drains less battery. But it has some bugs that annoy me like when the screen goes to sleep on his own and you have to unlock it again.
minicm7pro: very stable and fast...totally bug free cam5mp
gintonic.SE: umm very good but thre are a few bugs in there
minicm6: fast and stable...but i prefer cyanocomb1.4 as a froyo rom (froyobread is also awesome)
gingerdx: very good rom. v005 is the best version i guess
Thnks for everyone who answered, im still using MiniCM7Pro and after Slade finish his GinTonic I will change
mine I use paul's minicmv6 works fine but no data connection
I am using GingerDx since this morning , it is super quick ( web pages load much faster than stock or slades cm6.0)
I use kislers modified version which fixes the wifi bug many people have been experiencing in v007.
When i installed v007 i got the same wifi problem so i tried starting fresh with Kisler's version and all is working well.

I don't know if Slade will pick up where he left off, but D4rKn3sSyS's ROM seems to be the best bet.
another vote for gingerdx. it's been the best rom i've tried so far.
*bump* any updates on roms? battery life is priority of course

[Q] Anyone using ICS ROM ?

Is there anyone using ICS ROM and tell me ur experience ? I am finding a best ICS ROM,currently using resurrection remix ics 9.6 ..
After trying many ICS roms, I have settled on D4 Rom. It is stable (no fc's as yet), fast and has good battery life. I am also using NEAK 2.0.2 kernel & they are a great pairing.
Link to D4 Rom for anyone who wants to try it -

I've tried out 3 and I like the Resurrection Remix ics ROMs (first used v1.0 and now on v1.1) and fiddling with different kernels (liking Siyah 3).
I don't think you will find a "BEST ROM"... it's preference really.
Now as for the experience... so far so good, as long as you read up on it and follow ALL instructions right. There are some issues here and there, but most have been fixed and the developer posts update files you need to fix any issues.
I for one think it's good to find a ROM that has many users to help find bugs and correct them.
PS
If you find a ROM you like (with stability and performance tweaks you like)... don't forget to let them know of bugs you have AFTER you already searched their thread to see if others have already reported it. This can surely help them make it better and for you to find an ALMOST perfect ROM ^^

D4 Rom battery is ugly, don't really like it .
I had Tried several ICS roms on my Samsung Galaxy s2
I tried Resurrection ICS both 1.0 and 1.1.But they wont impress me as they would lot of fc's. So then I moved to Batista70 0.8 with cpu overclock. It is pretty good fast and stable so far no fc's. I would recommend you Batista70 0.8
I've only tried Resurrection Remix ics ROM both V1.0 and currently on V1.1.
I have only encountered a single FC due to update on T9 dialler which is known in before hand. But I expect this ROM to be updated frequently due to its popularity and it fits my style.
I am thinking of CM ROM or Litening ROM.

[Q]which cm10 version to use?[lww]

i have looked at various threads, including the FXP thread for the cm10.
I am really confused:
1) between the cm10 nightly or the fxp.
2)which version of cm10nightly or fxp( keeping in mind the bugs)
3) which kernel to use ( i need a kernel which can reduce bugs, save battery , and allow me to overclock)
4) how to make the walkman button work on these roms
please help me...
Please search before posting a new thread, all questions should be answered in other threads
1) There is no difference between the nightly and the FXP versions, but FXP will do more updates
2) Use the latest FXP cm10 release
3) Use the kernel from the zip or Mesa for cm10 or lupus or cm10 extended, the one you like :good:
4) I don't have a lww so I don't know but there should be a thread about this...

Which android for us?

Hi guys, I have some experience on xperia mini because it is my gf's phone and sometimes she leaves it to me so that I just flash something.
I remember when it was on gb: really smooth and fast, gameplay was awesome too, in stock rom and in modded rom.
Now it is on ics and it seems to be more laggy, battery sucker and with less stability. It is on stock rom with crossbreeder and lupus kernel, I've found this as the best ics combination for better stability but I remember gb was one other thing.
I haven't tried jb yet but, onestly, I'm not so convinced.
My questions are: which android version have you preferred? And why? Have you experienced my same sensations?

Im also having a Xperia Miniā„¢ and received per-installed ICS..Stock OS is ok to me but limited features.Main problem is battery life.So I moved to a custom rom and then I start the flashing war .
I tried lot of custom rom's with varies kernels. I found some good custom rom's which can play HD games smoothly and with more features. So I think custom Rom's are good but still there are some bugs because those rom developers not from SE software team...
Btw,I think ICS is better than GB..Support applications,more features..etc
OP really the only way of knowing is to test/flash for yourself, better yet read thru the forums Development section. If you are allowed to test on the device...
There are to many variables involved in asking others what they prefer....usage/apps so on. Thanks
