As far as downloading odin, search the forms a bit...you'll find it
Hey, I saw on the portal that heidmall is now compatible with the "galaxy player". I am wondering if that includes both versions, or just the 5.0.
Sent using the XDA app.
It should work on 4.0 as well as os is near iden
I think that heimdall had worked with the 4.0 before, just not the 5.0. But now thanks to ambrice and benjamin dobell it supports the 5.0.

Wanted to get this app working for my boys... Says it can run on my old cappy (drowned) my Galaxy Player 5.0 but NOT my SGSII. Installed it anyway but just says error downloading when it trys to download the additional package.
Any ideas on a work around?
Running unnamed 1.3.2.

You can see if its compatible with the i9100 and if so it should work by running a rom that's i9100 based. Or you might be able to just modify your build.prop. running i9100 firmware is how I got order and chaos to run on our phone. Hope this helps
Edit: make sure you either use the hellraiser provided by entropy's amazing mind or use an i9100 rom that's already been ported for our phone. Didn't want to see you flash the wrong thing if you are new to this site

No problem. you might be able to alter your build.prop if you don't want to leave unnamed but I found hellraising to be easier personally

Hello, Just Picked up my S2 I900m today. I am on the Bell Canada network. My previous phone is the I9000m (still love it) which was Rooted using Slim ICS and the Semaphore kernel using the KG3 Modem.
I've spent a few hours reading/research and for some reason the 9100 seems a little more complicated. I basically want a smiliar setup as I had with the i9000.
I think once I get the recovery figured out, I can start by flashing CM9 and then SLIM ICS.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Edit: I forgot to mention I bought the phone used so it has been upgraded to 4.03 MUGLD3
well, the great thing with i9100 is that you can basically match anything up (considering of what OS you're in: GB or ICS) unlike that of i9000's, you have to be on that firmware so you can flash that something and etc.
if you have a good background in flashing things in i9000, then you're good to go in the i9100 world

Hello,
I am writing here to ask about an issues I am having with Cm-10-20121017-nightly, i seem to be unable to connect to a WPA-PSK connection on my router. I have found that any CM10 based roms do not work(super nexus, paranoid) but Criskelo-16 mod works fine (based on samsung's Jellybean), I have read that CM10 doesnt work on WPA connections and I dont know if there has been a fix, some people have said different kernels work fine with updated drivers?
If so which one? and is it simple to install a new kernel ?
Any help would be much appreciated and any other info I can provide I will try too !
Thanks !

Will i be able to complete this process with Mobile ODIN pro? I currently use a MAC and the SGS III doesnt connect to my version of mac 10.7.5 Lion.
So i will find a official ICS rom from sammobile and flash that(using odin pro) ? then an official jellybean rom (using odin pro) and then back to cm 10 with CMW?
Sorry if these are simple, just making sure

Because the stock rom searching on the 5.0 seems to be a bit messy, I decided to make an index where it regroups all them here. It may seem simple but it's only an index regrouping all the stock roms available and it's not like a full recovery guide (like the 4.0)

Thanks a lot for the list, zaclimon! I'll be using these to port R.E.D.D to the g70.
My question is, can the U.S stock for the g70 run on intl devices like the 4.0 can?

I recommend int'l stock. It works great on US devices with a US kernel.
Do I flash this in CWM for the us model ? or something else , becasue it downloaded as .rar. not a .zip
I found an original firmware for Galaxy Player 5.0 (YP-G70, International):

First of all thanks for your effort on this great post. Indeed very useful.
I wish there would be a full recovery for 5.0 like there is for the 4.0 and the 5.0 INTL (I use the 5.0 US).
Anyway here are some helpful things you could expand your post with:
1) Firmwares
2) Kernels
3) CWMs
4) Full recovery haha
Some reference to how to use it with Odin etc. for noobs.
Thanks again!

I'm a total noob. got my Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 5 yesterday and found a youtube video on flashing to to cyanogen 10.2 worked well, but I've lost ability to use ALL of the camera features. No video, no back camera no front camera, and can't use the flash as a light.
so, now I want to go back, but don't want to just re-flash the US stock rom as I'm worried i"ll brick it. Is there a documented n00b process for re flashing stock build?
thanks
Well it's not that hard if toy don't want to go through Odin ABMs all that, you can just flash back to a stock based ROM, not necessarily going all the way back to stock

But that isn't 'pure' stock. Its rooted and deodexed. If you're looking to fix any problems by going stock that ROM wont work. The only place AFAIK that has stock ROMs is www.sammobile.com.

does anyone know where I can find any odin image for any firmware that will work on the P7510 (p4wifi)? I screwed up my tablet and do not have a flashable zip file in the storage anymore, I need to odin to something.
any help is sure appreciated.
EDIT!!
I finally found a stock odin image here (in case anyone else finds themselves in my situation):

Thankyou to everybody for the kindly help.
Of course i had an issiue!!:crying:
I can access the device only in recovery, so as first tought i was thinking to flash stock ROM via Odin, but i was thinking better last night and read more on the BIG XDA resorce forum and i decide to use the clockworkmod "sideload" install a costum ROM.
thats idea was the goal!!
my tab is back to life with the brand new omni-MACKAY_ROM-4.4.2-20140215-p4:victory:
and i have adb working on my linux machine that is extra value.
Thankyou again to everyone!
