I accidently installed the 2.3.5 Bootloader on my photon now I have to use US Cellulars ROM in order to get my phone working. I will give $100 via paypal to whoever can help me get my phone back to 2.3.4 and get my 4g back.
Edit: nvm lol. I think ur stuck on the 2.3.5 boot loader from what I've been reading

Run it over with your car and file an insurance claim. Instead of giving $100 to someone here, give it to Asurion. Assuming you have the insurance. Otherwise, you're currently SOL. Sorry.

I dropped my photon when I had it and wanted another one because I can't stand marks on the phone. Anyway, I hooked it up to my laptop and ran rsdlite, and when it started to flash I unplugged it so It would say the failed to boot error. Took it to the store and said it didn't work and the ordered a replacement. I do have insurance tthough.

As of right now, there's no fix for flashing 2.3.5 on a Sprint Photon.

Send it to Motorola call first tho. I did same thing as you they send me new refurbish and they deserve sending stupid photon back till they open bootloader.

you can simply stuck on electrify 2.3.5 rom.
Also, you can use latest peetr_ 2.3.5 rom, flash it via bootstrap, I think you may like it. It will work with locked kernel since it has stock kernel.
photon bootloader issue
have you tried to use qbking77's video on how to unbrick/unroot your photon? it's what i had to do after having an issue with my connectivity after flashing cm9. it relocks your boot loader and you'd have to re-root your phone, but it finally got my 3g back! maybe that would help you to totally reset your internal workings of your phone.....?????? i'm happy, i now have my mopho back after a whole day of no signal.. whew!
Sirricharic, is your bootloader unlocked?
The way to come back to the 2.3.4 bootloader is to flash the 2.3.4 boot file, and you can do it only if your 2.3.5 is unlocked. That is what scottgl9 claims that he did here. If your device is unlocked, it's very easy to get the 2.3.4 boot file and flash it.
I couldn't unlock the 2.3.5 and I just got another phone so it's good now.

Could one of you please make a pudding remover that works? I would like to relock my bootloader, so that way my 4G will work. I don't want to reflash an entire sbf as I want to keep my data.
I just relocked my bootloader with the pudding remover... it says that it's failed... but it works.. make sure you flashed the stock recovery before you relock... but I kinda did it backwards... but it works...
I would get Fail to boot 2.
I had to reflash pudding to get my phone to boot.
I really want to remove pudding and the steps provided don't do much.

I'm wondering as to what exactly is the problem with nopudding4u that makes it fail to work properly.
I believe that Failed to boot 2 error means that your battery is below 50% charge. The RSD softeware on the phone won't let to flash if you're under 50% battery.
I got that error and then put my Photon on the AC charger. Tryed again 20 minutes later and the boot worked.
what does Failed to boot 4 mean?

Make sure you guys have the right nopudding.sbf I had the failed to boot 2 a while ago when I flashed an electrify.sbf by mistake and It nearly terminally bricked my phone. I have locked and unlocked multiple times using the correct nopudding I believe there is also a stock sbf that will relock, but I'm not sure where to find it, I would assume try googling it.

I unlocked a while back to check out ICS. I then flashed back to stock using the 198_7 sbf and did a factory wipe. My phone no longer said unlocked during boot and everything was good. However, a couple days back I decided that I wanted to unlock again to try some new cool things. During the unlock process, I flashed the pudding sbf and when it reboot it said unlocked. I didnt have to go through the cmd steps and enter my unique ID. So that has me wondering if I was ever really relocked. I definitely had the stock recovery. So, even if my phone does not say unlocked during boot, should I flash the nopudding4u sbf? I ask because I will be traveling to a wimax area soon and want to make sure that I can use it.
Thanks guys.

If you would not mind can you please outline what you did?
This is what I did:
1. Installed regular pudding
2. Installed cwm recovery
3. Installed 2.3.5 for Electrify/Photon via cwm
Then did:
1. Installed stock recovery
2. Installed nopudding4g
After that I started getting the Failed to Boot 1
No matter which locked 2.3.4 I try to flash via RSD it fails on first flash pass when it tries to put the phone into BP bypass.
First to get my phone back to normal in rsd mode I flashed the sunfire sbf then to unlock my phone I used pudding unlock sbf then to get recovery I had to do the one click root then got the bootstrap app to flash cwm zip then I installed jokers stock rom

All though it's never a hard brick you can recover as long as you do it right but I don't think you can recover with the old firmware you still have to use the upgrade if you flashed the leak to use a ICS roms

I have reverted from clean ROM 4.0 to my nandroid GB back up with no problems.
What you do lose from going from ICS to GB is the internal sdcard mount.
I hear they use two different systems so you wont be able to view your sd card going back to GB.
There is a flash going around in the forums to get you back the sd card mount.
and FYI, as far as I know you can't fully downgrade the radio if you updated to the latest leaked radio.

there should be a stock GB rom floating around the forums.
you will need to get some recovery software like amonra.
Don't forget to update the kernel when you revert back.

First..regardless of what you do you have to hope the verizon rep is not smart enough to boot into bootloader before exchanging as it already says unlocked...and depending on what you have done...it could say tampered as well. At best when you reflash and relock it will say "re-locked" not locked.
But to pass most reps you need stock..
so yes you need to flash stock RUU...but if you have flashed a kernel or rom your your mainver has likely been reset.
So first you need this to reset your mainver...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526316
Then flash the RUU from here
http://www.filefactory.com/f/c2e320ee1d5c7886/
You are wasting your time.. rooting and romming does not prevent exchanges. Big post in general about it too.
They check for 3 things
1, Was the shipping box damaged?
2, Is the phone physically damaged (broken screen , etc)
3, does the phone power on.
That is all that is verified, the Customer serive rep on the phone is the person responsible for verifying you have a valid exchange reason. If they authorize a replacement.. then you have nothing to worry about.
I have returned 2 rezounds for screen problems , one had ics, and one was.rooted gb.
*edit*
Never take a phone to a store, just call 611 and talk to a CS rep. Stores have their own agenda, the reps on the phone are directed to, in most cases, send you a replacement (almost) no questions asked.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA
further, you cannot downgrade back to 2.01.605.11 if you have flashed the leak RUU.
you cannot downgrade the hboot and radio, period. you cannot flash a gingerbread rom with ICS firmware, period. it wont brick, but your sd card will disapear
if you ran the leaked RUU,best thing you can hope for is relocked after relocking and re-running that RUU. but as was mentioned,it may say tampered as well.
I was in the same boat. I got my replacement phone few days ago. Sent out the broken one (3G radio doesn't work) with the ICS leak on it.
You can not RUU back to previous versions. Don't waste your time. I reflashed the ICS PH98IMG so that it at least doesn't say "Security Warning" or "Tampered".

I just got this evo 4g lte the other day in a really good trade (straight from an 8gb iPhone 4, I know right!) Anyway the phone had a codename android rom on it (CM10 based) and I wanted to flash it back to something close to stock as my intension was to sell the phone since i don't have sprint. So the first thing i did was go into TWRP 2.2.1 and factory reset. I then installed Mean ROM ICS. When i rebooted the phone would not pull past the boot animation for the rom. I tried flashing a couple other roms with no success and last one i flashed was mean rom again. I also tried to use the 2.13 RUU to get back to stock but it wont work because i can't boot in to android . Next i had the bright idea that if the phone was relocked that it would start the RUU for the bootloader that i can still access. Well guess what, that didnt work! (duh)
As of now, the phone has a relocked bootloader (I know how to unlock again if i need to), is S-ON and using HBOOT 1.19. I would just really like to flash it back to stock but i am now very frustrated and lost and i am supposed to sell the phone to someone for $275 today.
Any help is much appreciated!
When you flash the Rom you flash the kernel separate since your S-on. Follow the directions on how to flash in the OP for the Rom and you'll be good to go

Me and my friend have been trying to root his HTC Thunderbolt and we thought everything was going pretty smoothly. We found one of the versions of the Liquid ICS and moved that to his SD card and we unlocked the bootloader using the HTC dev site and everything was working just fine. We even got to the point where we could flash CWM onto the device and even that seemed to go smoothly. But after we flashed clockwork onto the phone we were only able to get to recovery. Anytime we try to boot into the rom that we installed it just sits on the white HTC screen. We've wiped data, dalvik and cache, which is a common cause for bootlooping and common errors as such. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, my friend is concerned about not having a phone and is actually considering purchasing a phone for retail price off of amazon, and I really think thats a waist considering this phone isn't bricked, and I think the geniuses here at XDA can definitely help us out of this pickle. Your first problem is that you used HTC dev. You need to relock the bootloader and use the allinone tool to unlock get root and s off. The problem is that liquid ice has a custom kernel and you can't flash those with a locked bootloader.
Sent from my ThunderBolt using Tapatalk 2
Could you link me to a thread on how to do that without getting your computer to recognize the phone? Because as is, the phone can't be recognized seeing as it won't boot and its either stuck at a white screen, on HTC's boot loader *which is unlocked*, or clockwork recovery mod.
Before you setup your phone you need to fast boot flash a stock ruu. You should have made a nand in cwm before you ever attempted to flash a rom. If you did you wouldn't have this problem right now. You could just restore that backup in recovery and you would be rooted stock. Then you could follow the relock procedure and use the allinone tool to unlock and get s off.
Sent from my ThunderBolt using Tapatalk 2
Well that would be where we screwed up. we never made the nandroid back up and we kept trying to flash the RUU onto the phone via HBOOT but that doesn't work either. It says that is radio version 1.49.etc. inside of the bootloader.
You will need to give me more info about your radios. What baseband are you running?
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Alright so I dropped it off with my good friend Ryan and he was able to manually flash the RUU onto the phone and got it to boot stock. So we are done with our phone adventures for a little while. Thanks for offering to help, but we got it all solved
Now that you're root stock you can relock and then use the all in one tool.
