Phone freeze - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi guys!
So this has happend to me twice now. Two days ago when I was surfing on Dolphin the phone just freezed. Nothing happend. It was vibrating when I pushed the touch buttons.
What I did then was to keep power button and volume-up at the same time. Then the phone shuts down (reboots) with a black screen with some colored stripes going down over the screen.
This is the only way to reboot when the phobe freezs.
This just happend to me now while playing game. Though the first time was just a one-time experience, but now, twice.. Im not sure.
What is wrong? Anyone els facing the same problem? :/
- All stock, fw. 67 no root.

I have found that Dolphin tends to freeze when flash or plug in heavy pages are open. This seems to be an application issue rather than a phone issue.

Happened to me yesterday when playing the paper plane game. 1st time in 4 weeks iv had a problem.
Stock phone

Pretty annoying!
And now my phone just slowly went to darker colors on the screen and turned off! Was freezed for just 2-3 sec (alot shorter time as the prob in first post).

mine froze today while selecting a car in Asphalt 6 HD [Game]

Curious :/
Did not happen to me as of yet. Using Dolphin aswell.

sigh....I think its a bug in the software or something. Its not just dolphin hd my phone froze about 5 different times on 5 different apps

It happened to me 2 or 3 times..
Clock failure?

had my phone for 2 weeks, froze whilst on browser a few days ago and again today on the home screen :S i just left it until the battery died so i can recharge it, i didnt know you could reboot it, would rebooting delete any of my files?

Sounds like a problem. I would definitely bring the phone in to be checked out.

Happened to me once with my first one, and twice with my second. Not enough times to really make me care.
i've experienced unresponsive issues
So i've experienced the screen randomly becoming unresponsive. So i know its lot locked because i've been in phone calls when it happened, or i can see animations working, or maybe a download bar progressing and then the screen will do nothing at all. I can shut the screen off and back on but then not be able to unlock it. But then i've had the same happen, but i would then be able to unlock the phone only for nothing beyond that to respond. This does eventually go away/stop, Its odd as it makes me think its the screen at times, then software at times (sometimes i cannot hold the power to restart/power down).
i have a similar problem where my lower part of the screen becomes unresponsive randomly at times once a day and then goes away after reboot . im not rooted

[Q] Xperia S device unresponsive (due to overheat?!)

Hello ppl!
Yesterday I was flying to Dubai, and desided to "kill" some of my spare time playing the "Mini Motor Racing" game.
Approximatelly after 20 minutes of playing, the screen suddently became unresponsive (no reaction whatsoever), although the game was running normally.
I tried to press the power button to switch off the screen, but it was not working either. Tried to press the cameta button, no result as well. NO command was functioning, not hardware, neither software buttons.
I left the phone to the side for 3-4 minutes (while the game was still running), and noticed that the phone temp had actually falled down a little. Tried the touchscreen, but it was still unresponsive. This time though, the power button worked, so I managed to switch of the game.
I left the device to cool down, and then tried to play the game again, but had the same results (only this time, the phone became responsive about 15+ minutes after I put it aside, and since I have been trying to switch it off without success, I intentionally tried many button combinations, and the only one that worked was vol+, vol-, power pressed simultaneously, which switched off the phone).
I thought that this was some kind of a software/compatibility problem with the game, so I tried to play "Reckless Racing 2". Guess what. THE SAME results...
Anyone else with the same problem, or is it just me?
I heard same with PLAY my friend has with playing her favourite game.. n she has now extra battery attached on back of PLAY which seems solved issue.. may be ICS update will rectify it.. wait for it n hold those games till then
same to me
I have the same problem with my xperia. I bought the phone on 25th of april and since the first day it freezes when i am playing games. First i thought it is overheating but then it started to freeze in the middle of play or when i start the game, everytime was different. Repairing with pc companion didn't solved the problem, factory reset didnt solved the problem, updatung the firmware to .73 didn't solved the problem. I found other people on the sony talkmobile forum with the same problem. After one month i gaved my phone to sony service center for repair. I will share the results wheh they give me back the phone.
I have videorecorded the freezing problem, you can see it on youtube.

Yeah, actually that's what did the trick, but didnt know it 'till then! I was just anxiously pressing buttons!
@globetrance: Does your phone do the same with ALL games? Even 2D ones? The only two actual 3D games that I have freeze the phone, but others, such as Stardunk (the game actually makes the phone boil, especially in online mode), Azkend, Machenarium have no problem!
It is a bit odd...
===EDIT===
I have already fully reset the phone and re-installed .73 from the begining, but the problem is here again!

Our phones freezing has nothing common with the temperature . Mine is freezing sometimes even @ 30 C. I think the problem is somewhere else, may be in the internal memory?!

weird.
my screen came unresponsive when phone get heated a lot during playing some HD game for a while...
anyone else ocured this problem or is just me, also take notice i have yellow tint isuse..i will send it in short time to service center...
@electrash:
Yeah, we seem to have the same problem. But this does not occur while playing 2D games (although the device heats up a lot).
Yep, I also have the yellow tint issue, which is getting worse every day.
It seems that ppl having this issue are "rare" to find, and that we are the lucky ones
I will take my SXS for service tomorrow to see what happens.
@globaltrance:
My friend, did you get your Xperia from service? Any news?
12 days have passed and i am still waiting for my phone. Tomorow i am going to check things out, but i think the phone won't be ready within next 20 days.
I think the freezing come cause dalvik vm is low in the build.prop
There is 2 value 32 and 48 Can someone set the 2 value to 64 and try again.

I am guessing that this procedure requires rooting, correct?
My SXS is not rooted, and I promised myself NOT to touch this baby, but if you believe that it will work, I'll give it a try!
gm007, do you have such issue with freezing games?

My phone is not repaired yet. I have to wait more...
Оk folks, i've got my phone now. I'll make some test to check if it's going to freeze again while gaming. I hope not.
Perfect!!!
Let me know how it went. If it worked OK for you, maybe it's time to take my SXS to service for the yellow tint as well!
(Let me know if you get the yellow tint after service)
Ok, the phone is working perfect now, it's stable in games, but i have another problem. I found 4 dead pixels... There's no yellow tint. Their answer about dead pixels was that the pixels must be at least four per square centimeter for any service support. Now i have to wait for more dead pixels, and i hope the next will appear close to each other. Damn i hate this phone... Buying this phone was my biggest mistake.

Freezing

Hi,
I have had my nexus 10 for about a month and it's been fine since yesterday I was browsing on Chrome and it froze I couldn't do anything to get back so I locked the screen and it wouldn't come back on. I held some buttons down for a while and the logo came on and all working. I just left it on charge today and I couldn't get it to come back on again, held the power button for 10 seconds and it booted up like it was shut down. Why is this doing this has anyone heard anything similar?
Mine did that once to me yesterday but I was trying to download an apk from a shared drop box. I just chalked it up to maybe I shouldn't be doing that

Chrome is prone to freezing/crashing. It's rather annoying. On a positive note, the first time it happened to me I was able to figure out that if you hold down the power button for 8-10 seconds it will reboot the tablet.
There is a large thread for this....

Mine also does this ... Google will fix this in time. And being it's a Nexus, you will have the update immediately. This happens to me all the time. . mostly in Chrome, but also in other stuff too...

HELP! Erratic touches when i dont even touch my phone

Sooo this just happened like 30 mins ago, Ive had my optimus g from att since the day it was released and have not rooted or flashed anything to it. It is completly stock. But just 30 mins ago, I turned on my phone, showing the lockscreen, the phone starts registering random erratic touches on the bottom left side of the touch screen when I havnt even laid a finger on the screen and hasnt stopped. Ive rebooted 3 times, let it sit for minutes and everytime I wake the phone up, the erratic touches are still there, on the same place, bottom left side of touch screen. Because it registers touches there even when I dont touch it, I cant to anything on my phone. If it unlocks, it just touches wutever is on the bottom left and i am unable to do anything else. When im on a phone call, it keeps on touching speaker which make it unable to talk to someone because it goes in and out of speaker mode erratically.
I usually use a charger from my motorola phone. I have now plugged it into the stock lg charger and is still doing those erratic touches. anyone else experience this?? anyone have any idea how to fix this?? any information would help, thanks!!
It happens. Theories range from voltage issues to aliens.

This happens to me all the time when the screen has a smudge on it. Just clean your screen!

I had them to... even can't play games, when charge phone screen was bloked by many toches! Than I flashed to SnowJB 4.1.2 much much better, toches hapends some times, but never when on charge.
I've only had this happen with chargers. Not with this phone though. Third party iPhone chargers would sometimes do it to the iPhone, as well as a blackberry charger with my HTC. I use my HTC's charging cable and adapter with this phone, and I don't have any problems. Just try a different charger. Or at least a different usb block or port if possible.

Screen Burn?

Been hovering for a while but figured I'd ask this since I havent seen it posted. Has anyone had issues with their screen burning? By that i mean if i stay on one screen for too long without messing with the phone and then i hit the home button or go to another application then the screen will still have the old screen i stayed on for a long time kinda burned over the new screen. The old screen goes away after about 5 minutes. I know this sounds confusing but I've never had this happen before and ive been on android for 5-6 years now. Its only with my v10.
P.S. I cant post a screenshot of it because it doesnt show up on the screenshot itself.
Yes mate, you're not the only one
It started happening to me this month, after 7 months of using my V10.
Yep, crappy screen. Especially of the phone is even a little over warm.
Happened to me a while ago, but annoying but not a deal breaker
