I recently tried out the evo notification bar morph but decided to just go back to the stock notification bar afterwords using the stock morph. After a few hours my market would FC anytime I would try to update or install apps from it. I tried restoring the market from Titanium and I tried to fix permissions using the rom manager (I stupidly forgot to nandroid. I know lesson learned.) but that didn't work. Then I remembered something from my G1 days and a problem with metamorph not working with a market update. So I uninstalled the market update and it started working again.
To do that just
Settings > Applications > Manage Applications. Hit Menu > Filters > All. Then scroll down to Market. NOT THE MARKET UPDATER. Then just hit uninstall updates it'll give you a message. Just hit OK and then there you go. The market should work.
Hopefully this can help anybody that runs into this problem.
Also sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. It happened to my while using metamorh so I figured I should post it here for anybody else that runs into the problem while using metamorph.
Feel free to move or delete if its in the wrong section.
So below is my setup and i just got this phone.
installing the galnetmiui rom i have the new market and now i can't install stuff like titanium or find chainfire 3d paid edition.
going on the market website it says its incompatible.
this is really tempting users like me to resort to finding other ways to get these apps, but i really want to support the developers.
is there a way to bypass this?
and no, i did NOT change the lcd pixel density. i simply rooted (KI3) and installed GalnetMIUI ICS 1.11.9
I ALSO use market enabler.
is this miui caused? location caused? etc.
any insight or help would be greatly appreciated.
Bump thanks
Well I have already paid the .99 on the Amazon Appstore because the Play Store would not let me download it "Your device is not compatible with this version". What does the build.prop need to be to get this to work? I have tried the standard MN build.prop, change it to HTC Vision, Galaxy Tab, stock LCD density and changed it to 187 and the Play Store would not work for any of it. I used Nook Color Tools to force close and clear cache after each build.prop change.
Anyone have the Yahoo Fantasy Baseball app working? It doesnt show in the Play Store at all on the device and on the website it says it is not compatible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit..also tried the IMEI generator as well

I have Google play, and just recently downloaded and played Angry Birds Space, so I thought I would look at what I have, and try the yahoo Fantasy Football also. I was able to see and download both apps you mentioned within Google Play on my Nook (with Kang 7.2 (2/17/12)) with no issues. Looking at my build.prop holds not help I am afraid. It has encore/NC entries and density is at 160. Wish I could be of more help, but not sure what else to tell you except to make sure that you clear data under market.
just wondering why is your lcd density at 187 instead of 160?
187 is a good resolution that doesnt cut anything off.
rnclock could you post your build.prop?
Play store has issues with any dpi other than the standard 160 and 240 dpis

PM'd you. Also, if you are switching to 160 to try Google Play, make sure you clear data under Google Play before starting it back up.

You may have to conduct some build.prop edits or IMEI (DizzyDen). Make sure you have cleared data in Market also, this sometimes fixes any issues like this. Search the forum for recommended buildprop changes that will help you find/access more apps in the market. Hope this helps.
Sup guys, you can probably tell I'm new here and I have some issues.
Sometime this morning I decided to try and install Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Ep. II on my Samsung Galaxy Indulge R910. I came to find out that it is only compatible with 2.3 and higher, but my Indulge is running 2.2 and there are no GB ROMs for it yet. I scoured the web and found a "solution" to it. If I go into build.prop and change the ro.build.version.sdk=8 to ether sdk=9 or 10, the app not only installs, but runs, too. It worked.
NOW here's my problem: My market doesn't work when sdk=9 or 10, keeps FC-ing unless I change it back, but then the Sonic app disappears and I need the market to download the SD Data for the game. Is there a way to get the market to run without the force close? Do I need a "newer" market version? Or are there more settings I need to try? I tried this one idea, by swapping vendor.apk with another, but same results happen! ANY help on the situation would be appreciated!
You need to clear Google Play Store and Google Framework Services data in: settings>applications>manage applications>(find both and select the "clear data" button).
You should also try using Chainfire 3D, which you can find on Google Play Store. You may not have not edit the build.prop and you can download and play Tera-based games as well through Tegra Zone (also found on Google Play).
There's also an option in Chainfire 3D to "forget market settings" to allow for this...

Thanks for the effort, but no avail

I tried the methods above, but they didn't help my problem. The Chainfire 3D seems cool for performance in 3D apps, but it has nothing to do with allowing GB apps to run on FROYO.
It has to do with the build.prop file, as I've said before. I changed the SDK version to allow or Sonic 4 ep 2 to come up, but my market continues to crash.
ro.build.version.sdk=8 (default) Market works fine, cannot use GB apps and GB apps that somehow were installed by changing SDK version now disappear from installed apps lists and menus.
ro.build.version.sdk=9 or 10 Market fails to operate correctly, keeps Force Closing, but GB apps install naturally, run naturally and behave just fine.
It's like 2 sides of a coin that can't be spent...
Bump
Seriously does anyone know how this could be done? I know there's a way, but I just don't know how and Google is coming up dry... Help please!
Hi
I have change my screen resolution down to 290 .
I then went to purchase jkay dwlxe settings.
I started to receive messages in play store saying device not supported. After searching i found what i had hoped was a resolution.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1684671
so I installed a patched vending apk which I wished should have sorted the problem but still getting same message.
Even though that was in the nexus section, as it was replacing apk files I thought it would work but no joy.
Has anyone else had same problem and how did you fix this please.
Please help
Edit. If anyone has any issues then this is the easiest fix I could find

Re: Google Play Store Problem Due To DPI Change
Clear market data and Google services framework data, reboot and all should be good
Edit, that's an unusual dpi, try 280 or 300
Re: Google Play Store Problem Due To DPI Change
Thanks for your response. Done all that but no joy. Have even tried 280 and other values before asking question.
Any other ideas please
Re: Google Play Store Problem Due To DPI Change
I really hope someone can help
Re: Google Play Store Problem Due To DPI Change
Change it to a stock DPI and then download the app and then revert to 280
