You need to convert the system partitions back to RFS
Thanks for the quick reply. I assume I am able to do that using cwm? Can you be so kind as to guide me? Thanks!!

You need to get the Swype lib .
I managed to install beta version using swype installer. Still getting used to the whole new interface... I suspect as it is RC version, there are still some bugs here and there... but thank you so much for your help!!
More questions,
After upgrading to CM7 Kang RC1, I had problem with Lock menu and Flip4Silence.
Basically they are not working, Flip4silence is version 1.6 while lock menu is version 1.1.3. Since you are using the same firmware as well, I was wondering if u have alternative apps recommendation for this? Thanks.
I've found out that lock menu is redundant as CM7 has its own gesture controlled launcher. However, I'm not sure on flip4silence. Is there such a feature in CM7?

None of such a feature natively. App don't work?
I have to try more to conclude. But for apps like alarm droid, I have configured the alarm to stop when shaked. It seems like it is less responsive and takes around 3 seconds to stop the alarm after I shake...Is it ok to install link2sd in CM7?
I have the same problem with the stuck galaxy ace screen and even if i reset and wipe all these thinhgs you said in CWM 4 and then restored my backup with touchwiz and all my data it doesnt help. Still stucked on the galaxy ace screen.. ( help please..
And I also flashed cooper kang CM 7 rc1 before this happend.. I want my data back :'(

When asking questions like this, please get in to the habit of knowing exactly which ROM you flashed, which version, and state it in your question. For the Galaxy S: Vibrant T-959 we have multiple ICS ROMs... eg: Passion, Eugene, etc... and different versions with different bugs... eg: Passion v3, Passion v4, Passion v5, Passion v5 Build 2. Just a friendly reminder, to maybe help your questions get answers quicker.
Sorry about that guys, but it's the Passion v5 update 1. Tried flashing the KB5 Modem with Odin many times already, and still doesn't seem to work.

Have you tried Factory Reset, wiping your cache, and reflashing the ROM, the kernel, and Framework 2? That would be my first instinct.

trying that right now, hopefully it works.
still doesn't work >.<
probably will just go back to v4
Thank you!
I noticed that my signal is (seems) weaker with it.. a lot of calls are sent right to voicemail.. are you sure it doesn't work anywhere at all?
Also I had no 3G the first time I flashed it.. factory reset and formatted /system again from mounts and reflashed and it worked.

Either flash the rom twice (which doesn't work for me) or flash version 3.1 first which is in th3bills cm9 fixes thread and then flash the newest version. If you choose the latter make sure you full wipe before flashing 3.1, boot up in it, then reboot to recovery, wipe cache and dalvik then flash the newest version.

Anybody get the 2 December release of CM 10.2 loaded onto their e970 and have WiFi working?
It was a clean, bare install.

I had such problem. Looks like you have upgraded from ICS. You need to flash modem from Jely Been and your CM will work like butter.
If you're using CWM that's most likely your problem. I flashed the modem from JB and that didn't even work for me.. However, once I used TWRP instead of CWM it worked. I hope this helps! And thanks to the guy who originally brought that up! :good:
Strange.. I was using CWM to flash JB modem and after that had no problems with wifi.
What could solve

i have twrp 2.4.3. i install this solution but still does not work. please help me.
I'm having this same problem, only mine will work for a while, then it craters my wifi so that it doesn't work for laptops or anything. The wifi turns to normal after I disable it on my phone. I have tried all of the above solutions with the same result. What can I do? I don't really know how to go about troubleshooting wifi in Cyanogenmod.
