What do you mean by "cwm counting" , anyway i would pull the battery, wait 30 seconds, put battery back in, go in recovery mode and do a data/factory reset and reboot.

had a similar issue my steps
wipe data /factory reset + wipe dalvik cache + battery stats + format system using CWM and then i flashed the indian firmware DDKQ5 (5file format using ODIN) then flash CWM and wipe data factory reset and then install CM7 and try to boot. I know its a long process but for me it worked
I had a same problem..when there was backup app on my phone it was getting constant boot..now its working all good after removing them.

I recently wiped and flashed my phone with another ROM via CWM recovery. afterwards, the home button, while not dead, does not act the way it's supposed to! It can still be used to volume up+home and power to enter cwm recovery, confirm in cwm, and be pressed to turn the screen on from sleep, but nothing else. I suspect it to be something that I did in CWM recovery, but I can't fix it. help!
Sound like rom problem. What rom you flashed? Double check that you downloaded the correct rom for your model. Then reflash again.

what kind of error did you receive while installing CM9..what did it say...are you sure you downloaded the correct version from get.cm..
http://get.cm/get/jenkins/5834/cm-9.0.0-i9300.zip
if you are able to go into recovery..do a full wipe and then install this rom followed by gapps.. wipe dalvik and cache again and reboot..
I had 4.0 installed and rooted for a little while now.
So I wanted to install CM10 so I followed this guide http://rootgalaxynote.com/galaxy-note-i717-roms/cm10-jelly-bean-rom-for-att-galaxy-note-sgh-i717/
I just backed up everything in CWM then install TWRP since he said you might need it, I backed up in TWRP and then I flashed cm-10-20121006-UNOFFICIAL-quincyatt.zip in TWRP restarted and now its Looping the boot animation for CyanogenMod.
I read in the thread a lot of people are having this problem but no one is giving a clear fix for it.
I can get Odin Mode by holding power and volume down, but I am not sure what to do from here?
Try booting into recovery mode (hold volume down and up then hold power) and restore your backup before doing anything with odin
Shouldn't be a problem if you wipe before flashing

I would ....yes
Then....you must "always " wipe caches, data , system before flashing a
New build....otherwise you'll get loops and data corruption...g
Are you sure its looping? I've had some ROMs take like ten minutes to boot. As long as you can get to recovery or download mode you can work your way back read the super thread really well and go slow good luck

When I stepped up to the 4.2 ROM I did the usual wipe and got the boot loop too.
Update to TWRP 2.4
Wipe caches
Factory reset
Flash ROM, let it settle in for a few hours, don't install anything.
Flash gapps and set up your apps
I got the 10 minute boot (I don't wait well ),anyway I went back to recovery /twrp re-wiped installed again and now on (no 2/flapps. Nightly) ,Go where ya want but I would advise against rootgalaxy for future use ,stick with xda ,tons to learn right here

I've been using a galaxy Y S5360 for almost 18 months and I have been using custom ROMs for around 15 months. First I tried Creed 3.5 and loved it. A few months moved to Jellyblast 3 which was again fine. Two days ago I tried installing Hyperion and my phone got bricked I managed to flash stock ROM using odin . But now my phone gets bricked everytime I try installing a custom ROM ( tried Creed 3.5, Jellyblast 3 and Hyperion 8) :crying: and Im stuck with the stock ROM :crying: .Is there any way to fix this problem
Change your custom recovery, or did you do the following when flashing a rom?
1. Wipe Data
2. Wipe Cache
3. Wipe Dalvik Cache
4. Wipe Battery Stats
5. Fix permissions.
If you need further assisstance please post it as a reply below.

I've finally managed to install hyperion (after trying for several days). But now got another problem. The phone switches off automatically once in every few hours and wont reboot. When I go to recovery mode, the "system" is unmounted automatically under mounts and storage. If I remount the systems and reboot mu phone, it boots up without any problem... but again the phone switches off after a couple of hours. Is there any way to solve this problem without flashing it??
Same Problem

I'm facing the Same Problem......!!
After odin flash....with stock rom......
I'm unable to install any rom into my SGY 5360 .....
Actually it do installs....n finishes successfully....
but after reboot....I find only....Stock firmware.
It's like.....The Stock ROM is locked on my phone.....!!!
having same problem all custom roms cause phone to brick have to just use phone as is
Try installing stock rom DXLL1 before installing custom rom
When i install stock rom DXLL1 i already can install a custom rom
Doesn't boot stuck in reboot. Tried fastboot erase cache still no help.
Try reflash in recovery. If still no boot then you should try restoring a backup, or download the rom again and push it to your phone through adb push and then try flashing again. It may have been a bad download. When you reflash factory reset (this does not clear the virtual SD card) wipe the system, then install the rom, then wipe dalvik and cache and see if you can get it to boot.

Thanks
I wasn't really stuck been though this with other roms just meant that's far as I could get flashing the rom. I tried reflashing clean and dirty with same result. I guess it is a bad download I'll try again later. It took 6 hours then failed at 98% first time on phone, and finally on computer got in about 4 hours. Thanks for the advice though.
I am interested in the rom too. But the download times are crazy. Still haven't got a good download yet.

The same problem. They said 'You should flash custom recovery' that they recommended in their thread but I not try it yet.
