Clear your battery stats in recovery, and use Battery Calibration app by NĂ©Ma on the market.

Use Juice Defender?

Yeah I'm having this problem with the official stable release of cm7 too. never had this trouble with cm9, 10 or 10.1 (unnofficial ofc) or with custom cm7 roms. Perhaps try another kernel? I am currently looking for one and will post an update when I find an optimal solution.

Cm9 provides the best overall xperience for P500
Press Thanks

1.Titanium Backup

3.Batch restore from TB
4.If doesnt fix install juice defender

[Q] new kernal draining battery

I recently migrated from free x10 to this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=945264) with custom kernal (z/tripnraver) and ever since then, android system has been using more battery than cell standby and even sometimes display, and my battery time is much less than usual. when i moved from free x10 i restored data, btw... anyone know why this is happening to me?

Strange.when I'm using TripNMIUI with custom kernel, my battery is okay :O
yeah, i would reflash but i really don't feel like it -_-
Yeah, the kernels drain battery fast for me too. I use .52 BB with MiUi(TripN), and Launcher7 and my battery is fantastic.

I didn't wipe anything.
With most roms it is best to wipe before flashing.

Tested on:
FreeX10 beta4 hotfix1 - all works
TripNMiUI Gingerbread - rom works, recovery should work but not confirmed yet
wolfbreak 6.1.3. v7 or 6.1 - rom will give you lots of fc's

[Q] Custom froyo Kernel with best battery backup

Can anybody tell me what is the name of the froyo kernel that gives awesome battery backup ? I hav used franco v14/v18/v19 (CFS) & mik's kernel but batt drains out fast. mik's kernel is very very responsive though ! I hav tried wiping batt stats on full change. But it didn't help me out.
LG's kernel & stock froyo ROM was gud but had video playback issues. thr4 had 2 make a leap

You havent mentioned the rom, but from the post you are using froyo. Try the latest kernel of franco, its quite good with battery and mik's kernel was never a battery drainer for me. You should wipe your battery status and report again.
no dear. batt is dropping 1% every 7-10 minutes. btw i am running rom quy now. batt drain also happened in open optimus on franco kernel v19 cfs. i havent tried bfs though

[Q] Best combination of rom and kernel for best battery

Hi people please advice me the best kernel and rom combination for best battery life. i have tried cm7 6.5.8 with goldenleaf but it drains battery.. 7 hours of idle drained 8% wifi on data off auto sync off.. i have wiped battery stat and cache still no luck..
please let me know which rom and version and kernel u use and how much of battery life you get from the combination you use
i dont play game so i just need best battery life and lagfree UI
thanks
edit : also could anyone tell me the difference (pros and cons) of old and new baseband? i know new baseband works with official ginger and old works with cm7 and other AOSP builds but i couldnt find answer the advantage of using new baseband.
thanks
For maximum battery:
devoid. #froyo-final + last franco.kernel (gbs) or Goldenleaf
Best battery power (and most stable ROM) for O1

Of course also this # void, but for me (and most users including franciscofranco) devoid rom is the best there so far for the O1
Well, the only way is for testing fences and judge yourself
EDIT: Another ROM I wanted to be good in the performance of the battery, it would be Phoenix by andy + latest version of franciscofranco kernel (.35), which despite the bugs that still has a very amazing ROM
As far as i know new baseband=bettersignal=lesser battery drain(since network search difficulty is less)

Battery drain can be caused by many things. Try a different kernel, that may help sometimes
Provide actual kernel and rom installed so we can check if there any application or process which must be take more battery than others
I'm using feravolts kernel v2.7 and feralabs rom V20 that final, break the limits.

Miui is known for being a battery and memory hog,if you're looking for something a bit more battery friendly try aosp ROMs or under clocking CPU and gpu
