Hi guys,
Here the new NSS version (0.50) that allows sim unlock if your Lumia is rooted (710,800). How to unlock:
1. Make sure all drivers are installed, phone is visible by NSS in Normal, OSBL and NAND mode
2. Make sure you have Qcom loader
3. Plug the phone via USB cable
4. Start NSS, go to Simlocks, WP7, press Unlock
5. Follow on screen instructions
Unlock works for PIN and PUK blocked phones.

This is to make my Lumia a SIM free to use any other carrier or just when we need to tap PIN or PUK to unlock sim card?
---------- Post added at 10:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:59 PM ----------
What mean #6?
6. Press unlock again to restore the phone to original
I did unlock, I taped PIN so I need to connect again and change mode do OSBL and press UNLOCK second time?
Hi,
Yes it is to unlock the sim restriction, so the phone can be used on any carrier. Just the guys at MS are on some strange drug, the unlock
code they call - PIN, and the unblock code - PUK.
BR
what do you mean by install all drivers, it wont detect when i just plug into usb (normal mode) but when i am in obsl mode it says "nand disk drive" and it says it cant read device

There are few drivers needed - Zune, Nokia Care Suite, Microsoft USB disk drivers. Make sure Zune and NCS are installed and working.

Second time is not needed. It is just restores the baseband firmware to original.
I've been trying to sim unlock my phone all day, but I keep on getting this:
Looking for phone...Done.
IMEI:
Changing phone mode...Done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking for NAND disk...Not found.
Things to check:
1. Is the phone connected?(Plug to the USB)
2. Is it in the correct mode?(Try to switch to OSBL mode)
3. Have you installed the Qcom loader ?(Use the Install button)
in windows xp its not work?
I used NSS the other day on my DLOAD and to my surprise it magically unlocked just by pressing detect. I was over the moon! Saved me moneyyy!

Hi,
When the phone restarts after the change to OSBL mode command, does it stay with dark screen,
or just enters the long boot process and comes in Normal Mode ?
If the latter, you maybe have baseband/ROM mismatch, where some commands are not recognized -
e.g. the restart. Battery level is also not read correct. The solution is to restore to Nokia loader (only on 710)
and flash some version to make sure ROM and baseband files are matched, then install QCOM and do
the sim unlock procedure.

Will this work for any carrier or only for the common ones? I have T-Mobile UK and they have this new lock with Orange UK...

hey man you are a genius! i have been digging up and trying to find a sim unlock solution since i bought this phone and to no avail. i happened to buy an unlock code for my lumia 710 so i am unable to test your solution to see if it works. i wish you had revealed this method earlier so i would have donated the money to you instead! i am waiting to see if people were successful with your method. for my knowledge though...does it have anything to do with sdb5 partition? thanks again and good luck!
For lumia800?

Hi, in another post you pointed out that your phone was DLOAD and you flashed a generic firmware to your phone which gave you Qualcomm in NSS, could you please give more information on this, which firmware etc. so hopefully it'll work for us too.
/edit - Weird this. If I restart my phone with Vol up then insert USB (till buzz) and then click Detect on NSS it jumps straight to OSBL Mode - WP7 Qualcomm, I can't do anything with it at this stage so maybe (hopefully) someone will have an idea?

That's exactly what I did, and when I pressed 'Detect' my sim unlocked. Try putting a different sim in . But, I want to know what bootloader have due to the confusion of NSS detecting my phone as 'WP7 Qualcomm'.

Just detect on it's own shouldn't unlock it, you'd need to press the unlock button wouldn't you? In settings/About it should say bootloader version, mine is 7.35.0.0. I currently have a vodaphone sim in my phone (locked to Orange) and it doesn't unlock so it's trying to get to the bottom of how yours managed to unlock as qualcomm. Which drivers do you have installed for instance?

Hi,
If you have a phone, check what the Simlock saves as backup. Also after unlock you can try the Restore button and see what is loaded.

Hello,
When I bought my Lumia 800, I connected it to the PC and it detected as a DLOAD, however recently I flashed an unbranded stock ROM and I am not sure if what bootloader I have as NSS detects my device as a Qualcomm.
How can check what bootloader I have at present?
Cheers!

Boot into the Bootloader and check if its detected as Qualcomm (removable storage) or Nokia DLOAD device. What firmware did you flash?

Nothing appears, only says 'Nokia Connectivity'.
how to boot into bootloader
lumia
if your phone does not come up with a flash disc when you enter bootloader mode you have a locked bootloader, from my trial and error one lumia i had 0.7.35.0.0 and was detected as Qualcomm but did not show a flash disc, i recon this was the bootloader released just before nokia did the jump to DLOAD, if that is the case you cant do jack with it

I know this. The phone is just detected as 'Nokia Connectivity' on windows and in NSS it appears as Qualcomm. All I want to do is check what bootloader I have; I've tried the Vol Up + Power with small vibration but nothing happens.
mate which firmware did u flash?
and what is ur hardware revision number ?
check it in ABOUT in lumia.
pls asap!

My phone was branded to O2 when I got it then, I flashed the following 'Country Varient' firmware from 'Navifirm':
Code:
OS Version: 7.10.8107.79
Firmware revision number: 1600.2487.8107.12070
Hardware revision number: 112.1402.2.3
Bootloader version: 7.35.0.0
After this, I had used this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737907 to flash 8112 then onto 8773.
Now I have:
Code:
OS Version: 7.10.8773.98
Firmware revision number: 1750.0805.8773.12220
Hardware revision number: 112.1402.2.3
Bootloader version: 7.41.0.0
Hope this helps.
The problem is that if you flashed with Nokia Care Suite (after d/l from NaviFirm) it would have changed your bootloader to DLOAD so why is it you're able to get detected in NSS as Qualcomm.
When you say 'Nokia Connectivity' is that exactly what it says, not Nokia USB Connectivity?
/edit - the only difference I can see between yours and mine is that you've managed to update your bootloader version, maybe that has something to do with it?
Hi,
I've been trying to unlock my Lumia 710 from wind and I'm having a few problems.
What I've done.
- I have QUALCOMM bootloader, since I get the format disk popup in windows.
- Flashed WP Rainbow Mod 7.8 Custom Rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1654415 using Nokia Lumia 710 Downloader (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1665821)
- Installed Zune (I guess drivers as well), Nokia Care Suite (WinUSB Drivers for x64), QUALCOMM Drivers (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1669498)
- Downloaded NssPro v0.52
- Followed this tutorial to set-up NssPro for WP7: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1721355
What's wrong
- When running NssPro, using the detect button the program says phone not found (yes, its in OSBL mode.), and if I click out I get a pop up saying Nokia Care Suite stopped responding and the program crashes.
Images:
- Phone not Found: http://i.imgur.com/bmcAI.png
- Crashed: http://i.imgur.com/j4Efn.png
I'm running Windows 8 x64.
If anyone could point out what I'm doing wrong would be great.
Thanks,
Karn.

Hi everyone:
I am using Rogers Lumia 710. Since haven't seen the wp7.8 update pushed to my phone, I decided to update it by myself. What I did is following:
1. Downloaded the latest firmware with NaviFirm 1.5, and chose the APAC1 Black one under RM-803 (mine is RM-809)
2, Installed the Nokia Care Suite, changed the ROM's name to my phone's product code, successfully flashed it. All my apps were gone though. Using my live ID to logon, I could get all my contacts, calendars back.
3, Using the NssPro 5.0. I flashed the OSBL file to Qualcomm.
So far everything was fine. The problem started below.
4, In NssPro, chose Simlocks -> WP7 -> Unlock
The NssPro switched the phone to OSBL mode, I could see the screen turned to dark after a short vibration, then NssPro said could not find the phone. The snapshot is attachd.
I tried many times and NssPro just couldn't find the phone.
Is there any one knows what is the cause and how to solve it?
Thank you guys.

UPDATE: Problem Solved!
I was using Win7 64 bit.
Tried anther computer which is runing WinXP 32bit. Installed NCS, ZUNE and NSS Pro 0.54
The trick is:
If you connect the phone and use NSS to unlock it, NSS will turn the phone mode to OSBL mode, then it stops, just leave the phone there without any further actions. What I did was I disconnect the phone then re-plug it, click Unlock in NSS again, amazingly, it searched the phone and found a place to change. At that time the phone was recognized as NAND drive.
After NSS said successfully unlocked, I tried Fido card. The phone asked PIN and I typed in 8 zeros, then I could make phone call with Fido network.
Now my phone is unbranded, upgraded to wp7.8 and sim-unlocked. Bingo!
Hope this helps

I did not exactly understand what was your problem but I do have a problem with the drivers.
I looked in the sreenshot, what does it say in the list, just right from USB pin layout? For me, I get a not working Qualcomm driver and in this device list something like 'usb disk' appears 3 times (I don't remember the exact words, not at home to check). Instead of showing Nokia (or something) on first line.
I am wondering if we had same problem.. do I need to wipe my pc and install 32 bit win7? doesn't sound like a great idea. I tried virtualbox but I can't pass the usb through the host.
