[Q] Cannot Unlock Bootloader. - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Hi everyone,
Today I have been trying all day to unlock the bootloader of my Transformer Prime. I keep getting "An unknown error occurs, which maybe network connection issue please try again later"
This started on .21. I've tried unrooting then rerooting, downgrading the firmware to .15. I've tried turning off the firewall on my router to allow for the app to communicate with Asus. I'm running out of options. Thanks for any help.
Oh, I did not have the Unknown Serial error.

I feel like this describes my entire day. I was able to unlock it this morning on .21, but like you ended up downgrading from .21 to .15. Thus re-locking the bootloader. After going through everything to downgrade I tried to unlock it again using the asus tool and I got the error you just listed. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

You can't relock the bootloader... If you unlocked you'll stay unlocked.

I realize your warranty is void forever, but the boot screen no longer says unlocked on startup so I'm inclined to think it relocked

Hi,
Did you get your tablet unlock?

I have this exact same issue. Tried the same steps, nothing works.

I have the same problem. Same error message. I heard around that u can only unlock the device once. I unlock my prime before I bricked it and send it in for repair.

Athena Project Touch ROM Update failed

Hello,
I tried the TOUCH 3.0, but after it gets to 1% update, the htc reboots and on the pc it says "image is corrupt, please check your updater utility" I have re-downloaded the touch and same thing happens, any help?
Thanks
You are probably going to get flamed for not searching, but I believe that means your phone isn't unlocked. If you haven't used Olipro's unlocker do that then retry the update. His unlocker isn't the same as sim unlocking just in case you didn't know. Good luck to you.
I did do search and I did come up with what you are saying that the phone is not unlocked, but it is unlocked, and I purchased it as an unlock phone, this is why I am stuck. So any help would be much appreciated.
From what I understand and read is that there are two unlocks that your phone needs. Sim unlock which is what your phone has and I believe IMEI unlock which it doesn't. Olipro's unlocker will take care of that. Using the unlocker either way is just a safe bet for making sure everything works well with your device.

Unlock Bootloader Process Fails to Unlock Bootloader

Just as the title states...
I have completed the process on the HTCDev site many many times. The process itself works fantastic. Each step responds exactly how they state it should. I submit the token code and get a Bin file. Using fastboot to flash the Bin file results in the phone prompting me to unlock the bootloader. I select yes using the volume up and then hit power. The phone powers off and reboots restoring everything to factory. So it would seem that everything works correctly. I get no error messages during the process. I get nothing but the results that I should be expecting...EXCEPT...
The bootloader remains locked.
I'm beyond frustrated at this point. I've followed every single set of instructions just thinking maybe there's a step missing in one of them. Yet they all perform the same. End result...Bootloader still locked. No idea what is going on. Called HTC Tech Support and they weren't any help at all. Basically they said to leave a comment on the HTCDev site.
Any ideas???
Have you tried flashing anything even though it still says locked? It is a longshot, but there is a chance it is unlocked but just still says locked.

Since it's getting wiped anyway, exchange the phone for a new one.

I second that, I had a problem Unlocking my Rezound, I called HTC they said they dont replace phones and to call VZW. I called VZW told them that HTC told me to call for a replacement, they gave me a hard time. I told them as a developer, not being able to unlock my phone is a detrimental to my livelyhood. They sent me a refurb (standard) and I had no problems unlocking it. I posted my saga over in general you can see it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1416472

[Q]advide/help. ASUS Bootrom Unlocker does not work - cause:S#?

Long story short:
My goal is to root this TF201 (latest kernel&4.1.1).
A few weeks ago I successfully RMA:ed my bootloader unlocked transformer and got it back soon with a replaced motherboard.
Now when I try unlocking it through the ASUS Bootloader Unlocker app V6 it tells me something like "An unknown error has occured" every time I try to run through the procedure.
From what I've read in other threads it, the unlocker app, uses the devices' serial number and matches it with the ASUS servers, so my guess is that since i have the same SN as before it think that i'm trying to unlock an unlocked device which is neither allowed nor supported.
So my question now for you, more experienced and qualified, guys is: am i completely boned, or is there any other way to unlock via other software, or simply what would you recommend?
To me this device isn't really worth keeping unless it's rootable

[Q] After failed bootloader unlocking...

After I tried unlocking my phone's bootloader (which I miserably failed in) I just decided to flash my phone back to its current android version. After that it keeps on having the error "insert sim and reboot phone" and my sd card can't be read also. I tried getting help from a legit technician but then even after all the restarting and whatnot it still didn't work.
Is there any hope for my phone?

Ughh. Lots of people messing up Bootloaders now adays. Its a big trail-error process unlocking a bootloader. I do believe now you have no choice but to unlock your bootloader to fix your problem. These are the pages i saved on "How to" unlock your bootloader permanently. http://www.modaco.com/topic/346145-how-toguideunlock-x10-bootloader-permanently/ FALLOW THEM EXACTLY OR ELSE YOU WILL COMPLETELY REWEN YOUR PHONE. Be VERY CAREFULL. READ EVERYTHING FIVE TIMES
Just relock your bootloader and unlock it properly.

SGP321 looses gsm signal

I bought this tablet 2 months ago in our local t-mobile. And everything was fine until 2 weeks ago when it suddenly started loosing gsm signal.
At first i thought it had something to do with me rooting it. So i tried repairing it 2 times but with no luck. After that i tried downgrading to 4.1.2 and that didn't work either.
So basically i can be online (surfing, downloading etc.) for few minutes before it drops gsm signal (no signal icon in statusbar) and after few minutes it comes back and then it drops again...
I'd like to know if it can be fixed without taking it to nearest sony repair service. Did anyone encounter similar problem and manage to fix it?
btw bootloader is locked (unlock allowed: no) so flashin another kernel/ROM is out of the question...

Well firmware flashing via SUS repair option usually does that for me.. but yeah, i tried factory reset as well. And about bootloader unlocking i've been searching for a guide ever since i bought it. No such luck... Apparently if it's "bootloader unlock allowed: NO", it's meant to stay that way. At least until someone finds a way around it.
I've got a vague idea about how does rooting work and that tells me if i did a complete wipe and flashed my tablet, how can they detect it?
I mean.. it's a complete reinstall, how are they supposed to know that the tablet was rooted on previous firmware if it currently isn't?

Well im no pro, but don't they have some kind of binary counter witch tells the manufactures the devices has been rooted ? i know that's how Samsung goes about identifying if the devices has been rooted... But Sony im not too sure, Also your theory does hold ground, if you clean install from the ground up then Sony shouldn't be able to tell, if the device has been rooted, also you do know that Sony have a guide on there website on how to unlock the boot loader ? Here check it out http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/unlock-bootloader/

I know about that website. That's how i unlock every sony i come across that needs unlocking
But it also says if the "Bootloader unlock allowed" is NO in service menu, then there is no hope for unlocking the bootloader. At least not officially.. until someone comes with a solution for that..
So i managed to get some extra details on that problem.
Apparently i can't get LTE signal anywhere. And when i get LTE, connection automatically drops.
Could it be that the LTE chip is faulty? Does that mean that i'll probably get another device... because somehow i doubt that theyll try to replace the motherboard
