hi all, I hard formatted my windows phone 6.5, HTC HD2 and started setup for HSPL3 For HTC Leo. The setup started and failed and i'm stuck with it now. it gives me screen

and when i start phone power+volume down with leoimg.nbh in SD card the screen says

Common issue:
You still have standard SPL installed & thus require a ROM that is correct ROM code of original country/operator which the one on your SD card is not hence "Upgrade ROM code error"
Your 2 options are:
1. Use HSPL 3 or 4 to install a HSPL which bypasses CID lock & allows you to flash any ROM but by USB & RUU, if do from SD it overwrites HSPL with SPL everytime
2. Find a compatable CID code ROM & flash it ...
If this is a T-Mobile USA handset make sure to flash a ROM with correct radio or you will have a brick ...

it cant possibly be a tmous with 1.42.0000 spl.
@OP, you are in the wrong forum, this is for tmo usa model hd2 only. (That's why there's so few recent posts, , , most tmous users are now in the android forums.
With the phone in the stripey screen (bootloader) connect usb, , when 'serial' changes to 'usb' you are ready to try running hspl again. What are you aiming for? if its android, (meaning your target is 2.08.hspl) use HSPL2 instead.

hello i'm in need of dire help! i flashed my htc hd2 with the dexter rom and all was well after that i tried to flash to a clean rom series and it doesnt happen!!! nothing! i can change anything. when i try to change my spl version its the same it says i need to have 1.42.000.i tried downloading it from htc website but after i input my S/N it says that this software was not made for my phone. could someone please help me? this is what my boot loader shows

you don't have hspl, run hspl3 choose 2.08.hspl then run your rom flash.
Hi, I am having problems with flashing official 3.14 wwe rom on my hd2. Now I have 1.66.405.2 wwe rom, radio 2.06.51.07 installed in this phone and when I enter the bootloader(four colors screen), it says that

I have formatted the sd card and removed it. my ram is 448mb.
but every time I try to flash the 3.14 rom, wwe or hk version, the program ran perfectly until the progress bar appears(as the roms started being flashed on hd2 ), when it reach 1%, the usb connection will automatically disconnect and the phone will shut down itself and restart. My hd2 is not a branded one.
That's all I can tell about the problem. Can anyone help?

I have a T-mobile HTC HD2 phone. I found a software update for it and tried to get it to update. it got to 73% and failed. I ran the recovery option and it failed again. It keeps failing and I cant get it to move past 0% now.
The boot screen says.

I found ver2.13.531.1 for download in the forums (sorry cant find it again) and loaded it onto the phone via USB no problem.

If TMOUS simply get latest correct device ROM from HTC:

using ROMs found on XDA or filehosts could end up with a bricked TMOUS device unless you know what you are doing or take time to research correctly.
If flash fails with ROM code error that means CID is wrong for device, IE: ROM you are flashing is not correct original ROM for your devices region.
HSPL bypasses CID lock but on TMOUS HD2 a HSPL & stupid user ends up with a .51 radio & bricked device
The rule: read first flash second & if TMOUS get your rom direct from link above using IMEI ...

depends what you want to do. looks to me as if it has been flashed from sd with a tmous stock rom, which has loaded 2.08.0000 which has then said 'this isn't a tmous' and given your error.
lets say you want to move to android
into bootloader
hspl4 --> 2.08.hspl (not 2.08.0000)
bootloader
flash magldr
magldr menu - usb flasher
use nand toolkit to set system partition size
magldr menu - 8 ad recovery
instal zip from sd card - choose zip - point it at whatever android rom you want to instal (zip on your sd card)
done/

put phone in bootloader, connect usb lead.
run hspl4
in the dropdown choose 3.03.hspl
when phone reboots, go again into bootloader
run the 3.14 rom.exe installaler.

Explain how it won't boot, no power? Suck on boot screen? Can you enter Bootloader?

1st when is going on into boot loader then during updating ROM it has stop at 8%.
after it got OFF and still not showing any thing. even i checked battery voltage . voltages are ok but leo not ok...
but from couple of days its not showing charging ' not showing any thing , even its not showing ( software update failed)
not entering in boot loader.
and not showing any thing on original charger.
I' had my leo with spl-2.08.HSPL (CotullaHSPL); but i wanted to have some fun with it flash some new roms etc.
so i tried to flash it through USB - it didn't work, so i flashed it from SD card.This is how i did it step by step:
1- I've downloaded: RUU_Leo_S_HTC_WWE_3.14.405.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe from this forum
2- extracted the ruu...nbh file changed the name to leoimg
3- loaded it on sd
4- started HTC with voldown + pwrbutton
5- BAM! it did something
Now when it loads i have those infos on screen:
1- Software update failed. Please try again
2- Loading
3- 0028002 not allowed
4- (on bootloader screen)

obviously your phone isn't an unbranded wwe.
when you flash a stock rom from sd card, it removes hspl, , then, if the rom isn't correct for its predefined carrier/region, the flash fails.
If you are aiming to run android/wp7 you dont need to do anything, just enter bootloader, apply hspl, then magldr, then android(or wp7)
If you want winmo, then you need to either flash the correct stock rom for that particular phone, or flash hspl followed by a custom rom, or get usb flashing to work.

Thanks a lot for a fast replay.
I've solved the problem, coz i managed to get the USB working (only USB 3.0 port seems to work for me)
So if anybody got a similar problem (with usb not working), just stick your plug in every hole possible ;P
