Um, considering that's an I777 ROM, you probably shouldn't try to install it on an I9100. If you actually have an I777, you're in the wrong place.

Well, my first sentence still stands. But the dev DID base it off a firmware for the I9100, so it's not impossible. Ask in the ROM thread how to do it. The ROM developer himself might answer you.

Latest Stock ROM to flash via CWM

Hi,
Can anyone point me to a (direct) link that gives the latest stock ROM for Samsung Galaxy S2 that i can flash using CWM? I think the latest version is KG5, but please tell me if this is wrong?
Ive been trying to search through an ocean of links and can find thousands but dont which is the right one.
I just want the latest stock ROM (preferably with a rooted kernal, but can live without) that i can flash from CWM.
Im sure its probably already here somewhere, but its not so obvious to a noob like me.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Stock roms are ODIN flashed .

I guess that explains it!
Thanks for the quick reply.
If i need to re-route after i flash, can i use any kernal or does it have to be the one that matches the ROM?

If i want to flash something like Litening Rom in future can i do that using CWM or ROM Mgr? Im sticking with stock for now but who knows, i may get more adventurous!

[Q] CM9 --> Samsung S II Official 4.0 LPG Rom???

I'm a new user (quiet new...)
and I don't know if I can change my S II from CM9 to Samsung S II Official 4.0 LPG Rom?
I did a lot of research but still couldn't find the answer...
I watch people flashing their S II from 2.3.5 but no one using CM9...
Could someone answer me?

Yes, just flash stock rom via Odin.
You can go back and forth to and from any rom you wish aslong as its for your device. Which means dont just flash any old **** to your device, read, learn enjoy.
Learn using some stickies
Wipe using cwm
Flash using Odin, but In my opinion flash lpd instead of old lpg

Thanks for answering first~
"go back and forth to and from any rom"? Is that means I have to flash it back to 2.3.5 first? Using recovery?

Learn basically saying to you to research what your after
wipe well basically clean everything to start again
flash basically how you add Rom to your device
LPD LPG LPF LPE are just random firmwares which are around and avaliable for your device
your model number check in settings>>about phone
make sure to flash correct to match your device gt-19100 or gt-19100G dont mix them up.
also you talk about CM9 check the thread for it but i would research it first

So, that means I could now flash my CM9 into Samsung 4.0 LPG Rom directly without turning back S II into 2.3.5 first right?
Can somebody answer me please ??????

Yes, as long as you read the instructions of installing CM9. People get problems after installation usually due to not properly installing.
Also it would be best to be patient for replies, instead of posting for an answer just 30 minutes later. Plenty of people wait for replies hours to days later.

There's no such model as "i9100GT". It's either "GT-i9100", "GT-i9100G", "GT-i9100P", "GT-i9100M", or "GT-i9100T".
And the US variants all have completely different hardware than any of the GT-i9100 variants. Some of them work on completely different cellular technology. (CMDA vs GSM) So the broad answer is "no".

It's not anal, it's attention to detail. There's a BIG difference between the i9100G and all other i9100 variants.
Go ahead and try to flash an i9100G firmware or kernel to your i9100 if you think it's being anal.

I don't need to get over anything, nor did I chose to be anal about anything. There are, in fact, models called GT.i9100G and GT-i9100T, both of which are different from the GT-i9100. I didn't know if you just mis-typed the model number or what. I was attempting to be as informative as possible. You don't need to be slinging around "some people are too anal" when someone is trying to answer your question.
But whatever.

First of all: it's 'rooted', not 'rotted'
Some roms come with a new modem, so if you want to change it, you can flash it through Recovery. Some others don't, but you can check it of course in Settings -> About phone.
About your request for a JB rom: even if you're from NZ, you still have to try them for yourself to see which rom perfectly matches your preferences.

thanx

What do you mean by "original stock rom?". Are you talking about Gingerbread or do you simply want to flash an i9100 rom?
I mean 4.1.2 stock rom of 19100 by Samsung

So a few questions:
- Are you currently rooted, and if so what firmware (rom) are you running?
- Why do you want a stock rom? This device has two 4.1.2 custom Samsung roms that are equal to/better than any i9100 rom!
I see in another thread you said you were on Neatrom, which is 4.1.2, and that you were having problems accessing recovery after updating SuperSU; are you still having those issues or are you able to get into recovery now? It's important to know, as it will change how you install the rom you're wanting. .
