Help, thanks a lot in advance, anyone.
Yes, select fastboot then flash through fastboot. All info required found on this forum in multiple locations.
PS, that's no brick, hard or otherwise.

yes i was is that right
I'm assuming you were coming from the OTA 2.3.4. Is that right?
If so, then it is a soft brick and you just need to power it down and then plug it back in to the computer and it should turn on by itself. As soon as the menu comes back up, use the VOL down to navigate to Fastboot and then press VOL up to select. Once in Fastboot protocol, you can just reenter the fastboot unlock commands, make sure you enter your uniqueID exactly

Try pulling the battery and put it back in with the phone off plug in your wall charger and see if your recovery comes up
What were u trying to do before this happened?
*****Have u tried a fully charged battery?*****
failed to boot = sbf time

U can't sbf if u can't start rsd protocol
my bad
wow do we have a real one?
if I remember well it would always say failed to boot 2 and rsd would be available .
Is this a Dx2?
Apparently he is getting a failed to boot 1 ..I think I remember seeing this before.
It might be in one of the.older sbf tutorial threads...myabe the one by dag425.
It would be helpful (maybe) to know what was being done that caused this to happen.
Hopefully he wasn't messing with bootloader partitions and signatures or something. I think that would he just about the only thing that could hard brick us.

If u hold power and volume up it takes u directly into "starting RSD protocol "
it is the method I have ALWAYS used when flashing sbf
I am stuck here too! I only have two options:
1: fastboot
or
2: nvflash
I have no idea what the hell eather one does so any little help is greatly appreciated for this noob. Thanks in advance...
So I take it yours says "failed to boot 1" also?
Is this Dx2 or mx2?
And you are familiar w/ booting menu: pwr on wait 1/2 (or less) sec then vol down and keep selecting w/ vol dn then vol up to select . Rsd is last.
IDNK WHAT BUT A REAL BRICK!

My photon is stuck in a loop while booting thru the initial Motorola splash screen. Here is what happened:
- was running MIUI v4 by Th3Bill (standard install)
- wanted to upgrade and during that change to the Aroma installer
- did a factory reset (full, had USB debugging enabled. After the factory reset it booted back into "virgin" MIUI
- used RSDlite to flash 154_5 sfb, all seemed well (had "repaired" Motorola drivers before)
- removed battery, let sit for a minute or so, inserted, turned on and got the Motorola splash screen loop.
- I am able to get into RSD mode, so I tried installing 198_7 sfb, with same result.
- went into Fastboor, select Android Recovery: it gives me a screen with the Android robot and a little attention sign
Where to go from here?? Please help!
BTW, am a bit new to this ... if you could please elaborate on your advice a bit. Thanks :fingers-crossed:
Well you could go into fastboot. Erase system then enter rsd and flash your sbf. Or unlock via rsd install cwm via fastboot enter cwm format system data and cache then rsd and flash sbf.

Thanks!
What option in fastboot allows me to erase the system, I have
NvFlash
BP HW Bypass RSD
BP HW Bypass QC DLOAD
BP HW Diag & Boot AP
BP HW Bypass BP Only
BP SW Bypass RSD
Android Recovery (Note: which isn't working anymore)
Boot Android (No BP)
Device UID
console=tty50,115200n8
Early USB enumeration
BP Tools
RSD
And once I get there is there a sub-menu or commands I need to use?
I'm gonna have to try this tonight EST after work, and will report back (or ask more q's). Thanks so much for your help!
You have to use moto-fastboot on the pc while the phone is in fastboot mode.

You may also try one more route.
After getting into Android Recovery, when you see the Android with the yellow triangle, press Vol Up and Vol Dn at the same time. You will get options. Wipe data & cache. You should be able to boot up fine after that.

Are you talking abiout the method "Relocking without Full SBF flash" described in the Lokifish Marz Photon Compendum?
If so is the file stock_recovery.smg part of the Moto-Fastboot installation, or where can I find it? The link provided at the2dcour's [PUDDING] Photon/Electrify Pudding bootloader unlock post is dead
I found the nopudding4u.sbf file in the Shabbypengiun post on ACS.
Thanks!

That worked!! You saved my sorry butt, thank you so much!!
Edit: I just tried to get into Android Recovery and realized i still get the yellow triangle warning. Does this mean I lost Stock Recovery? What to do? Can i get it back when flashing 154_5 again? I might need it if I take the phone to Sprint for any repairs later on. BTW: the phone boots and functions fine otherwise except I can't get unlocked.
Thoughts?
Hello, I am new to this forum.
I will try to explain the best that I can about how I got into this situation.
I was previously running on ICS 4.0.4(don't really know if it is .211 or .214 or something.). I tried to root it using Matt's Droid Razr Utility 1.7. I didn't really know what to do and was stupid enough to follow the video in the help thread(which was for upgrading from GB rather than rooting an ICS). Then I panicked.
I used option 1, followed by option 9, followed by option 3, followed by option 2, and then all four in random orders. Later on, I realized that I had to recover from the .211 file in the sd card after option 1(failure on my part). However, now whenever I try to enter recovery, I get Invalid Flash Mode Boot failure, whereas a normal boot will give me Invalid Flash Mode Flash failure.
I tried to use ADB tools and it didn't work.
Then I tried Utility 1.81. My driver is the same as the one provided, and the cable is the one that came along with the charger and phone.
My phone carrier is Singtel.
Any way out of this? Thanks in advance.
is it possible to enter fastboot ??
if so try to grab an image in development section wich you can place on your phone with RSD lite.

I can enter fastboot, and only fastboot. Attempting to enter any BP or recovery will result in the failures.
I just downloaded a stock rom for my phone. I'll see how it turns out.
Thank you for your time.
im in a similar situation, my phone is bricked, how do u enter fastboot? and where can i get a rom to use in rsd lite?

Since the thread name is Droid razr i think it is xt912
Go fast boot (power off your phone[if you cant then push and hold vol down+vol up and power button the same time, when you see your display flashed quickly release all buttons and press them again and hold- you should get boot menu and then use vol down to get on AP fastboot and use vol up to select it]).
Then use rsd lite and FXZ files to get your phone running, no need for any kind of wipe after this. Wait until rsd lite says finished.
What fxz files do I use? I've tried like 3 different ones and they always fail

I'm a n00b and I need help. I've spent lots of time reading xda forums and haven't found anything that really fits my case.
Motorola Atrix ME860. Chinese version which means that it doesn't have Google Play store or anything. Running Froyo 2.2.2.
Because it has a really ****ty Chinese OS, the ultimate goal is to flash CyanogenMod 9. Got Gingerbreak app's .apk via phone browser and successfully rooted the phone.
I'm on a Mac, so I had to use Parallels to attempt unlocking the bootloader. Successfully installed Motorola Drivers, RSD Lite, Android SDK (downloaded SDK Tools and Google USB Driver).
Used RSD Lite to try flashing the Pudding IHOP international users bootloader unlocking sbf file. Yes, I've seen the comments on that link about Chinese phones. Wasn't concerned because I've never accepted any OTA updates or flashed down to Froyo as discussed here. I don't know why, but RSD Lite didn't successfully flash the unlock sbf file.
CURRENT SITUATION:
Power + up volume = SVF: 108:1:2 Failed to boot 3 Starting Fastboot protocol support
Power + down volume = SVF: 108:1:2 Failed to boot 3 Entering nv flash recovery mode (It flashes this for about three tenths of a second and then the screen goes black.)
----------------------------------
•Have I bricked my phone?
•What's the next step? The power + up volume option seems to show some promise....
•Can I flash a 2.2.3 Gingerbread file to at least be able to USE the phone and then try unlocking the bootloader again?
Because I'm a n00b, if you have advice/directions, the more specific the better. Thank you very much.
I have exactly the same problem, could you fix this?? could you tell me how?? please, I have been looking on google like for 6 hours now.
thanks !!!!!! I would really appreciate any advice!!

Sorry, but I never found out a solution. I gave up after spending wwwwaaaaaaay too much time on the problem I'm not sure where you're living in the world, but look into getting some help from an "Android Ninja" on Craigslist.
If you can enter fastboot mode, try flashing a custom recovery.

actually you did miss something. how about just power on. no vol up or down, just turn the device on. that should allow you to use RSD support and flash a sbf file. or you can enter into fastboot mode and flash each partition with its corresponding img file
