Best rar/zip handler I've seen and its free! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

This is the best rar/zip handler that I've used on android. unrars/unzips anything you throw at it!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.zdevs.zarchiver&hl=en
Better then anything else I've tried including pro versions of other apps! Enjoy! Be sure to give the guy a 5 star rating if it works well for you!

I just use the built in one of ES File Explorer.

I've come across weird rars that even ES file explorer wouldn't unrar thats why I mentioned this one its just an alternative for when people come across a problem rar or zip. Thats all just think the app is cool wanted to tell people about it.

sweetness. thanks

File Folder

I just recently switched from a Droid Charge to the Rezound. There was an easy way on the Charge to see all your files and downloads in a nice File Folder. Is there anything like that on the Rezound or something from the market I can download?
Thanks
jwalker007
astro file explorer, or es file explorer. If you want to see your download folder, open your app drawer and click on downloads.
I like ES the most but if you're rooted then Root explorer is the way to go.
Thanks I'll give it a try.

Anyone have issues with these? I loaded es and two days later my phone started boot looping and no way out of it. Kind of worried to load one

Unless you did something while having root access in ES, there's really not any way that the program could cause your boot looping. I always use Root Explorer, but I've used ES before and never had any troubles.
I use Astro file manager from the market. It's always worked flawless for me.

Why do so many people hate Rom manager? I love it and am just used to it since my cappy. I knkw it doesnt do everything with our SGS2 as it does for my cappy like reboot to recovery for nandroid backups correctly (except for using it for that purpose for cm7 works perfectly). But i like to use it for renaming nandroids and such. Easy to use and has never failed me. Wish it could be updated to fully work correctly at some point. Would be nice to get all our roms available on it/through it. Well to each his/her own i guess. I still use it to download gapps and such as well for cm7.

Lol.. seems like a lot of ppl really hate ROM Manager.
I either use ES File Explorer, or just connect to the pc and do my cleanup as necessary. I also rename the folders, so it's easier to identify which is what. Just remember if you do decide to rename your folders, no spaces , else you'll get md5 issues and wouldn't be able to restore from the backup you made.
A more interesting question is why a thread like this even needs to exist. I wondered the same thing the op did. Then I used root explorer to search and found the folder on my own. Search being the key word.

Any free root explorer apps?

Is the pay version of root explorer the only one or are there any free ones that r good?
Thanks

ES File Explorer or Super Manager work fine too.

thank you!
I think root browser is the best looking and best functional free app for root browsing:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.root.browserfree
To get rid of the ads you may have a look at the developers thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1338582
there are actually a handful of good ones(free ones). u should start with root browser lite. has a lot of options. but to name a few off the top of my head would include, script manager. andro zip root, there are also browsers in rom toolbox and other apps. depends i guess on what it is you want to do when you find what youre looking for. to be honest, the stock file manager on the razr or the "my files" app, is really not that bad
My choice : Ghost Commander
But, my favorite is ....
command line mode in Connectbot's text terminal

All these apps you lot talk about on the market that you have to pay for are free on Google.
I would like to post the link here of the paid version but someone would report me in a heartbeat.
I have Rom Tool Box Pro & like Root Browser, but my new favorite free app is X-Plore. It does everything root explorer does & has some nice customisations.

I agree with Solid explorer. It is awesome.
From my ICED down MAXX!
ES File Explorer for me.
it accesses my Box.net, SkyDrive, GoogleDrive, and DropBox right inside the app. moving/copying files couldn't be easier.

well its mostly a nicer UI >_< it does everything ES Explorer can but its as powerful as root explorer. its two in one with a nicer body lol. and thus far no glitches found. pretty good i say

New file manager Solid explorer.

Wow, probably will be the best file manager when it finally gets out of beta. I use root explorer like everyone but its so ugly, my real only complaint about the app. Anyway I think eveyone should give this a try, its at least worth a look (imo)https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.solid.explorer
it`s good but it crashed when I tried to access system -> app directory when I had copyed system app in clipboard without that I could access system -> app directory normally.
so it has some bugs but it`ll be great very soon I think. It looks amazing. The best looking app ever. I like very much the dark theme.
thanks!
i use es file explorer....it nice too
Very nice app, no issues for now.

ES file explorer checks md5 sums

I haven't seen anything on this in the threads, but It's possible to check md5 sums with ES file explorer. I download things directly to my phone, long press file, choose properties from the menu, press check sums, select md5, let it do work!
Yep, Astro and Root Explorer do that as well.

No problem! I always thought it was easier to check on my phone, since my ROM/HBOOT/radio downloads are all done on my phone.

Thanks. Honestly I was too lazy to check in the past but now that I know this I'll do it.
Nice to know thanks. I always used hash Droid but never new you could check with es
I use it a lot when flashing ROMs and radios, all you have to so I long press on the file, select properties and then show checksum.
