first i'm sorry for my english, it's only poor
um.. My RAZR MAXX buy from H.K.
It's GSM version
And the system version is 65.1.40.XT910.AsiaRetail.en.03, The build number is 6.5.1-167-SPD-IRD-40
Should i wait the ota or flash it to ICS?
Please help~
If Motorola weren't lying, ICS should be out in a month or less.
GSM phones can flash GSM roms, check the development section.
However, if you flash to ICS betas/leaks, you might not be able to go back to GB.
My advice: wait.

If Motorola really weren't lying, I'll wait the OTA.
Whatever, thanks bro!

I know they finally unlocked the Droid Bionic bootloader, but is there anybody working on unlocking the RAZR's? There aren't many devs for the RAZR, but surely somebody has to know how.
Check out this thread about the Bionic Bootloader if you're interested.
Motorola RAZR is recieving an update (still 2.3.5), however the bootloader (0A.67) is still locked. Flashing the FXZ won't update the bl, only OTA update will
The update for British RAZR is this:
SPDREM_U_01.6.5.1-73_SPU-11-M1-2_SIGNEuropeAustraliaEMEA_USASPDRRTGB_HWp2b_Service1FF_fastboot.xml.zip
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umts_spyder/list.php
Also where Bionic BL was unlocked? I read it's sitll locked.
yes the droid bionic bootoader is still locked. he must off gotten confused with the off topic chat about unlocking the GNex at the thread he linked to.

The CDMA version of the Spyder probably won't be unlocked.
If you want an unlockable one you should probably get the GSM one.

Pretty sure this dev got it to work. But with another method I believe, since he got overclocking to work.
This doesn't belong in development, FYI.
Additionally, read more before spreading misinformation. I've seen two posts by you today regarding the "unlocked bionic" and both of your sources mention nothing about it. Research more.

Kernel can be modified using modules as well, this is completely unrelated.
I am moving this to General.
Please be careful when choosing the forum to ask/post anything.

Don't know if Bionic is still locked, but, I was stuck on 5.5.886 after FXZing from 5.5.893 leak that had a ton of bugs in it. Two days ago I followed a procedure and my Bionic is now on 5.7.893 , rooted, and able to receive and install the next OTA. Before this, it would NOT take ANY sys flash, rar, or OTA. Hope this means it's unlocked. I remember they said once you upgraded the radio / kernel it could not go back. But I think mine went back first because the last thing I did was load the OTA update, and when it rebooted it was smooth as silk running 5.7.893 and so far bug free not to mention with Launcher Pro it is Very fast.
Sigh....
The bionic is NOT unlocked.

does this works on asian razr? if yes, does it help us to flash 4.0 aosp?
ok, so this might sound N00bish, but i wanted to know when the Atrix ICS update rolls out, will i be able to update OTA with an unlocked bootloader?
Nobody knows the answers to your questions. Motorola is keeping this under tight wraps, for all we know know, we may be done with at gb, and the only way to get ics is with unofficial roms.
I am only speculating at this point, but I would assume having an unlocked boot loader should have no effect on the update, but if u can install a custom rom , why bother with the bloat ware?

If you are anything but stock, i.e. rooted, frozen/deleted any Blur apps, etc., you won't be able to OTA until you are back to stock again. As for the unlocked bootloader, no idea if that will stop you.
Motorola has "officially" added the Atrix to the ICS update list:
https://forums.motorola.com/pages/00add97d6c
Just an FYI, I agree that staying with a custom ROM is the way to go.

My mom said Santa Claus was real too......
Just flash CM9 now or wait until Neutrino CM9 comes out and you'll have ICS and no junk/bloat with it.
^^^ Agreed and I'm sure moto-ics won't be that great anyhow.
#Sent from my God given Atrix 4G
thanks everyone for the answers, i think ill stick to CM9 and plus the backup of the stock ROM is almost 4 months old lol (I.E lots of apps missing if they do release the official update, at that point there will be a CM11 coming out with Jelly Bean

Most people know that Moto-ICS wont be that great...what we are looking forward are the official ICS Tegra 2 drivers for our device, so we can actually have a fully working and stable CM9 rom.
I'm needing to get a replacement Razr Maxx. However I just applied the leaked .211 ICS "OTA" update file. I know I can't use the Razr Utility to restore to GB. Does anyone know when the Fastboot file will be released for ICS for the RAZR? I don't know how to revert my phone to total stock until it's released.
Anyone? Got RAZR issues and need to revert to stock but it has to be 6.16.211 ICS.

Fastboot file has been out for a while now, check out at droidrzr.com:
/index.php/topic/2839-droid-razr-utility-17-for-ics-and-those-who-want-to-go-to-ics/page__st__840
You'll have to put the link together yourself as I'm a new member here and can't post links yet lol
***EDIT**
If you're already on .211, then you're okay. the .211 update file is the fastboot file.

Would this work if I'm on the Razr with OTA ICS update applied? I'm looking for a way back to GB, if it's even possible.
I recently got a Razr, so I'm not sure how fastboot files were. I came from a Droid X, and have lots of experience with CWM and flashing roms that way.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

No, it is not possible to flash back to GB once on the ICS OTA. I'm not exactly sure why you would want too... ICS is a better and more stable form of Android.
Guys,
I want you to debate on my strange confusion...
I'm currently on Stock 2.3.4 198_7 and using Mof's v2.
My question is we don't have any SBF of 2.3.5 if we messed up our phone... So we have to use 2.3.4 as base to do anything.. :silly:
If we want to use 2.3.5, there is only OTA!!!!! And OTA only works with 198_6
So in case in future if Moto releases ICS & JB (I know I'm too optimistic) do we need a base of 2.3.5 or we will be able to update it from 198_6/7 base?
I thinks we should prepare ourselves for all the situations.
1. We must have 198_6 Stock for future use
2. We must have 2.3.5 OTA for future use
or
Will Moto release SBF? But again they might need base as 2.3.5!!! Who knows?
What you people say..

i think the developers here will build Roms on the official ICS release and we can install them with unlocked boot loader. So it im guessing its better if we stuck with the unlocked boot loader versions for now
I think ICS update won't be the same OTA update with patches, we had until now. There could be whole flashable partitions. I wonder what happened to webtop partition in RAZR after ICS update, for example.

Lets pray, but If its a flashable SBF then again it won't be unlockable like 2.3.5... :silly: Means no customization...
So Either we will be on 2.3.4 or Stucked with ICS..

After a ton of digging, screaming at Moto and chatting with OMAP Moto owners, it looks like the /osh (Webtop) partition is simply abandoned. In other words, you don't get the storage space back and the phone treats it as if it never existed.
(You can imagine how diehard Webtop users have responded to this and the dock+webtop3.0 issues)
Don't lose hope though. It may not be a perfect solution but there's is word of something in the works.
Glad, you're back, Loki. Thanks for answering. I take anything Motorola comes with in ICS, because when it comes, I will be buying new Moto phone probably. This one is starting to be slow for me.
