I had my Google Wallet set up before and used it to even buy something. After wiping and installing a new rom it seems to be stuck on the "Adding Card..." page when trying to add a google prepaid card. Anyone run into this same problem?
Same here but just rooted on stock. Mine has never finished adding a card since yesterday... Always getting an error.

Did you read the disclaimer at the top of the forums it should be Stikied

I read it for the last week; finally got the phone yesterday lol. Never opened Wallet before I rooted so there shouldn't have been anything in the app. Looks like I need to ask Google what's going on from what I searched online.

Having the same issue too. It seems more of a google wallet connection problem. Yesterday, I couldn't add my citi mastercard nor the google prepaid. It would just hang at "Adding card..." for up to 15 minutes or more. Then late in the night, I was able to add the google prepaid, but still haven't been able to add the citi mastercard. I called citi mastercard and they said they have heard from quite a few that are having the same issue. But didn't know what it was and to wait a few days. I also called google wallet and they don't know either. I think it has to do with a connection issue to google wallet from all the new activations. People are probably pounding google wallet.
I also have added the cards last week, I just had to reset google wallet so I could factory reset.
This issue has nothing to do with the sticky by the way.
Someone, please let me know when this is resolved. I'm having the same issue.
Try late at night. Too many people are hitting the wallet server right now.

Finally had a change from Error. It said to call Money Network with thier number. Called and talked to a nice lady who said that there is a known issue with the prepaid cards not connecting properly, esp with our phones. She passed my issue to escalations and I should recieve a call in 24 - 48 hours about it. Seems like they're doing their best to keep things moving and fix the problems.

Agree with the suggestion to do it late at night. This was happening to me all day yesterday--I even got the message to call Money Network. I reset my Wallet info, cleared data, and started from scratch about 10pm...not sure what did the trick, but it finally took.
I was finally able to add the card, but now it says it can't contact the bank to get my balance. I'll try later tonight.
Now it says prepaid unavailable and my phone is totally stock non rooted. Won't do anything google wallet

Mine took 3 tries and the last one was several hours before it was successful.

I had the same problem, the card finally got added around 2AM.
Going through the same thing as we speak.. I'm both happy and troubled seeing this thread. I'll just be patient and hopefully it will resolve itself.
EVO 4G LTE Google Prepaid Card Activations Suspended
As an update I had been trying to connect all day since early AM when I last posted. I finally got tired of babysitting the process all day and called Money Network. I spoke to a very helpful and friendly representative who briefly explained they have suspended activation of the EVO 4G LTE as of today. He went on to say their techs have found an issue/variance in software compatibility which will require a patch. He claimed there was no ETA on this patch or when activations will continue. I told him this was the first I had heard of a specific model being targeted and he went on to say that this news had JUST been released internally.
We speculated for a bit about activations on 1.12.651.2 vs 1.13.651.1. Basically there is some issue with 1.13 and Wallet, those who could or can activate are likely on 1.12. If true or not we also spoke about overlapping complications which caused them to bring the whole service on and offline this last week. Once they put out that first fire, this new one uncovered itself.
Wallet Software Update to 1.1-R67-v4 - No Change
I thought it was a little soon but Wallet was updated today to -R67-v4 however there was no change. It seems EVO LTE activations are STILL suspended. Considering the amount of updates they have released lately we should stay hopeful, I can't see it taking more then a week.
Well damn. I wanted my 10 bucks.
I called and talked to rep. they are doing work on the server and "supposedly" all evo lte phones cannot connect to the server. He told me the server has been down for 2 days now. This is the follow up email.
Thank you for getting in touch with our team. We're aware that Google
Wallet payment cards are unavailable and our engineering team is working
hard to make sure Google Wallet is working as intended. We will be sure to
let you know when full functionality has resumed.
I was having difficulty with wallet finding my account. so I reset it and tried to reactivate to no avail.
Just got update for wallet from play store and it worked flawlessly.
good luck guys.
I finally got google Wallet to add the prepaid card, it also has a balance now, I think they fixed it!!

EDIT: i had a brain fart and did not search first so i apologize. what i will do is update this thread and monitor for any data connection issues.
just thought i'd share my ordeal trying to upgrade a line to this new phone. this whole thing took 3 thunderbolts and several useless verizon sales/techs (i will never purchase directly from a vzw store again, the staff i dealt with at 2 corp stores was completely inept).
purchase 1: i purchased a thunderbolt and upgraded my line in store and everything is working/provisioned according to the tech. i don't realize i am missing texts and data until after i get back to work since the tech said it would "fully activate" over the next few hours (wtf..... but ok, new device/service and the sales guy wanted to set my expectations low). 2 trips back to the store for a total of 3.5 hours and 2 new sims and they cant get data or text working on the phone.
purchase 2: new verizon store closer to work. talked to the sales guy and informed him of the issues i had prior. he says no problem, they must have had some issues. we definitely wont have them here. i tell him fine i will upgrade but i am not leaving until voice, data, and text are working 100%. he cant get text or data to activate either so he says i can leave and he can call me when its done (little problem with not having a phone though to receive the call....) end result they return the phone an and i am dinged the restocking fee because they dont want to return as a problem.
purchase 3: bestbuy..... my expectations already set super low, i ask them if they have problems activating tb's on upgrades..... they say no, but it could take a while to do the whole process. i told them of the issues i ran into at other stores and they said did the tech reset the phone or factory reset the phone after the initial activation? (bingo! only power resets through the gui although the sales guys at both vzw stores said they factory reset).
for anyone running into data activation/data drop issues, factory reset the phone (i had to do it twice). and it should be solid after that. i have been up and running for the last few hours without issue.
my tb is set to cdma + lte/evdo auto.
tl;dr: data problems? do a factory reset. 3g data/text/voice has been solid after this process. PITA? yes, but it seems to work.
So 24 hours later and there doesn't appear to have been a data drop. There are still some weird fc's with the browser though. And the market has fc'd as well.

I am surprised you paid the restocking fee. I would have told them to kiss my ass.
Sadly enough, the guys at Best Buy Mobile don't always get enough credit, sometimes they do have some real idiots working there, but some of those people know ten fold what a guy at a local single carrier shop will.
BBYM, since I used to work for one, makes you take detailed training before you are supposed to work in the department, doesn't mean its followed, but if someone has been in the department for awhile they will have.
Most carrier stores don't have a lot of training, if they do, it is only about their company, not 6-7 different companies, between post and pre paid.
The restocking fee was charged because they returned it as customer deactivated, not a programming issue. I had to call customer support from my cell to get the restocking fee credited to my account. So all told I lost 1.75 at that store (plus the time I spent there).
I originally went to BB to return something, not walk out with a new phone. I got sucked in by the cute girl who chatted me up while processing my return. I ended up keeping the return and getting a new phone... lol.

This worked like a charm...thanks
I have been noticing that my Google Maps has been crashing on me every time I open it fresh out of memory. I sent a report to Google waiting for an update. I updated to the newest version; I downgraded; I rebooted the phone; tried it on 3G and WiFi; and did different combinations of Locations settings. All the same results. The GPS radio animation comes on and the radius is slightly off and wide. I tried the GassBuddy app, which has a map feature, and the errors are more pronounced. Only good side is this app doesn't crash like Google Maps.
Could this be a defect with my unit? If so, I want a replacement!
Or could this be a firmware issue?
Update...
Short version
After almost 3 hours of talking to different Sprint departments and one repair store over the phone, I was finally able to get a replacement phone. Now the waiting game
Long version
After doing some research, I decided to install an app called GPS Test. I was able to clear and update the AGPS data. Rebooted and opened up Google Maps, and still the same inaccurate location and wide radius, and freezing and ultimately crashing.
As a last resort I did a "Factory data reset", erasing everything I had customized and installed... to no avail. Still the same darn issue, leading me to finally call Spring Customer Care. After telling them and a supervisor that the "nearest" Sprint repair store is too far away for me to visit to have my phone physically looked at (I take public trans and the nearest one would have taken me over an hour to get to), they finally connected me to a Sprint technician.
The Sprint technician was so Yeah that was the face I made. He told to power off my phone and take off my battery. I was like, "Uh... the battery is not removable (at least easily)". And he was like, "Oh it's not. Okay just turn it off". He also said that in order to go to the settings menu, I needed to press the "Menu" button. THE MENU BUTTON! He clearly hasn't been trained with the new HTC EVO 4G LTE, since these phones and native ICS devices don't have menu buttons anymore. I Already knew what type I was dealing with.
He called me back after pushing something over the air on my phone. It updated some profile thing and some other network settings. I thought... great! Maybe that's all it needed.... Nope. Opened Google Maps and same thing happened. GPS not locking and Maps freezing.
At this point, I was 100% convinced that this was a hardware issue unique to my phone. I have been searching online at other forums, and judging by the lack of replies to this post, I'm the only one having issues with this particular HTC model. The technician was convinced that a Sprint repair store will solve the problem. He told me that I needed to take it to a repair store and have it looked at. I told him it's too far of a commute for me. I highly doubt they have the phone on hand, and I doubt they will somehow be able to magically fix a hardware issue. He insisted otherwise anyway and said that he created a ticket for me to explain the issue.
Frustrated, I called the "nearest" Sprint repair store and, once again, explained what's going on and what I've done so far. Again, like all of the other people I talked to, she was like, "Wow, you have the new EVO 4G LTE phone. That's so cool." I rolled my eyes, thinking give me a darn replacement phone... She proceeded to tell me that they don't have those phones in stock (OMG NO SURPRISE) and they don't have any software that would be able to troubleshoot that phone. If they did, they would have done an exchange. So even if I had gone there, I would have just wasted my time. She advised me to call Sprint Customer Care... AGAIN.
Called Customer Care again, gave them the rundown of all the runaround I'm going through, and the guy who picked up said that they understand about my issue, but he advised me that the best way would be to go about this was to go to try another Sprint store... And I'm thinking, wow, so you want me to try a different store that's even further from me, and you honestly think they'll have this phone in stock let alone software to troubleshoot it. I told him um, I highly doubt any other store will give me a different result.
After talking some sense into him, he finally had me talk to an even higher supervisor of some sort. The manager/supervisor said, "Yeah you would need to bring it back to the original store you bought it from... You bought it at RadioShack right?" And I was like "No. no. no. I bought my new phone online, via Sprint? I pre-ordered it. I got my OLD EVO 2 years ago from RadioShack, but not this." He was like, " oh okay I can see that." He finally said that he'll be able to connect me to some Order Processing department. I'm thinking, this better be the final line...
Nope. I was transferred and I was told by this new guy he knew the issue with my phone. He understands that because the technician had deemed it a hardware issue, that he would be able to get my problem resolved. He put yet again on hold, because he was trying to contact the last department, I wanna call it, JUST-GET-ME-REPLACEMENT-PHONE department. After 10 minutes of holding, a very-important-sounding told me that he apologized that I was having issues. He wanted to make sure everybody is enjoying their devices with no interruption. I'm thinking, YES! GIVE ME NON-DEFECTIVE DEVICE please!
After talking with this important guy, he finally assured me that they will be processing a return kit and a replacement phone to be shipped to me. He did say that because the HTC EVO 4G LTE is still not officially out, that I may expect delays. Great... even more waiting.
Did you try ##GPSCLR# or is it ##CLRGPS# one of those two. You need your MSL.
Tried ##CLRGPSX# . Nothing popped up. I tried downloading MSL reader but these types of apps require root. Like I mentioned I used an app called GPS Tools which have options to cler GPS data, but still the same.
At this point I think I've tried every practical steps to try to diagnose and resolvthe issue. I paid over $200 to get this device up and running. If I'm gonna be stuck with it for the next 2 years, I think I deserve all of the promised basic features to be working from day one. No relying on rooting and downloading or applying a third-party fix.
I was just unlucky.
Call sprint to get your msl number. You got the letters mixed up. It's ##gpsclrx#
Sent from my lair.
Thanks for the advise guys. Although I could have bothered to get in touch with Sprint for the millionth time to get my MSL, I decided to just wait for my replacement phone. I wasn't going to hassle them anymore than I have already, and nor was I going to bother rooting the defective item. As much I love rooting and flashing new roms (Mik fan) on my OG Evo, I think I'm going to wait a while to do it on this EvoLTE.
Good news is it came today. Even though they kept saying there's been a hold on the shipment and they have no idea when it would ship out, Sprint shipped it overnight over UPS Tuesday night, and I got it today at 9:30 am Pacific Time. Thank you Sprint! Must be partly due to the fact that the ban was officially lifted.
Genuinely glad I made that move, though. For the indoor test: I used GPS Test app on my replacement phone and the GPS service starts up a whole faster. It's able to connect to more and satellites and therefore get accuracy of up to 20-30 feet. Comparing that to the first phone that would take at least 20 seconds to latch on, and take another 30 seconds to connect to more than 4 satellites. And even then, it would only get an accuracy of at most 90 feet, most of the time it was just way off.
In terms of the Google Maps app, there is no doubt that Google needs to update it for the EVO LTE because there are still some bugs, but alas I don't get it freezing on me anymore while GPS service tries to locate me and eventually crash.
Outdoor test, I get all of these goodies, but 5x faster. Definitely happy I made the switch. I'm new to this city and I need my Maps to be working at all times!
Peace.
Google Maps was updated today. I was having tons of issues with Google Maps, but after today's update it is working 100%!! **** YEAH!!
I can't seem to find any answers, but I'm trying to set up the google wallet prepaid card for my free $10, I haven't rooted or anything yet but I'm getting the erorr message "Error adding Google Prepaid card" any suggestions?

You could also try: settings, apps, all, wallet, clear update.
I had the same issue. I couldn't add the card no matter what I did including the above suggestions. I ended up calling Money Network and the rep had to escalate my call up the ladder. The next day I got a call from a different rep who said he had to do a Master Reset on his end. He said he could see on his computer all the error messages from when I tried to set up the card. He called me back the following day and said the reset was complete. I opened my wallet, added the card and it worked fine. I've even made purchases since and it had the clerks at the store with the wide eyed look. LoL

this worked, thanks
Yes, I reset google wallet before turning in my bad phone.
I had a touchscreen problem and had to have my ELTE replaced under warranty. I am probably one of the few people that actually uses Google Wallet NFC on a regular basis, and added money to the google pre-paid card. My balance was ~$25 when I reset my wallet settings before turning in the phone. Upon configuring Wallet on the new phone, I realized that my google pre-paid card balance was reset to $10! I thought the card/balance was tied to my gmail account, and not to the device itself?
This isn't a huge deal in my case, as it's only $15, but it's definitely something you guys should look out for. If the card is tied to the device itself, you probably don't want to run a huge balance on the card in case you break your phone and have to have it replaced.

I did call. It's being escalated, but they see no record of me adding the funds. Funny, because when I look at the transaction history on my phone, I can see the $20 added from my credit card. Good times!
I went thru something similar when i went from an EVO LTE to a GS3.
They did a search using my info and found the transaction where i added 20 bucks to my google wallet on my EVO LTE.
It took them about 24-36 hours to approve the transfer from my old device to the new one..
I had to go thru a verification process as well as go thru my emails and help them find the reciept that was emailed to me.
Well I have had the Evo 4g lte for over a year now and live in Tampa. I have never had a solid 3g connection for more than 30 seconds, it just stayed at 1x (even though the bar up top always said 3g) and now that 4g is all over down here I still have yet to connect to that. After multiple trips to sprint stores in Florida, Virginia, and Kentucky always being told everything checks out and that it just the towers or I call Sprint to only be told that it is just the prl. Well this weekend I went to a different store where the guy was actually perplexed that I didn't have 4g since the tower is across the street, and his Iphone was connected to it. So he made several attempts to fix and then took it to the tech guy to have it worked on who for a minute got it to connect to 4g but by the time it was back in my hands it went back to 1x. So they ordered me a new phone which came in today. This phone also would not connect, so the manager got involved and they went at it for at least a half hour trying so many different things up until they remove "sprint services" for my account and my phone fired right up onto 4g network for the first time.
Upon leaving the store I call sprint to try to get a credit for the past year of no service. Well they told me that the "Sprint services" that was removed has nothing to do with data and it is a tracking program they put on phones that are in upgrading areas for billing reasons. and that there fore I must have always had internet since I do use almost a full Mb a day through email and other account syncs and that me now having 4gt is just a coincidence. They are willing to pay 25 dollars for the inconvenience of such a long troubleshooting though, pretty much they are denying any blame, and yet shut me up. I wanted either a free month or release me from the contract... they laughed.
I am sure I am not the only one who has had this problem so please if you have had my symptoms please speak up, Also if anyone knows anything else about my situation and has some advice on how I can get something worth while, like a free month for the hassle please tell me.
And yes once I am finally out of contract I am switching to verizon even if their phones are disabled.
Man your never going to get anywhere with Sprint customer service. Forget about it. I've had first hand experience, and it never went anywhere other me getting extremely pissed. We were trying to get the Evo lte replaced with a s3 for the exact same reasons you are having. 4g connectivity issues out the ass with this phone. They said they could replace this phone with some cheap low spec lte phone that's like free on the sprint site because the s3 is not '' comparable''. They also lied and said they'd call back once the price on s3 dropped and then replace the Evo. Never called back and went to corporate to find out the cs rep said the problem was resolved when it was not. We did a burnout out right in front of the store. I'm just riding out the contract with the Evo as I gave up trying with cs, then switching to one of the major 2.

I'm 95% certain that was the name "Sprint servces" it might have been "Sprint sources" or some other completely unambiguous name like that but I will be back in touch with them today or tomorrow when I have a better understanding of where I should go with this and I will triple check the name then.
And when they first booted up the new phone that it went right into roaming mode
