Need anybodys advice who is or has been in a similar situtatuon. I called Wifefly Sunday to upgrade to the Evo LTE. Well while processing my order I fund out that wirefly still has a delay in getting the Evos. Of course I couldnt wait so as I tell the rep, no thanks, Im gonna try to find one locally, she says, they dont charge the card until the phone ships, so I could see if I could find one in store and if I did, I could just cancel my order but if I didnt find one, id still have my "place in line" with the Evo LTE order. Yesterday I actually found one in Besy Buy and bought it using the line I was trying to upgrade via Wirefly. As I pull up my email to cancel the order, I get a new email from Wirefly saying all orders would ship June 8th. My question is will Wirefly automatically cancel my order for me or will they end up still shipping the Evo to me?? Thanks
Why don't you just call Wire fly ask them yourself instead of wasting time posting things we cant answer.
I say cancel the order yourself.
You need to cancel it. It just takes a few seconds to cancel on the order status page

If YOU cant answer it then why would YOU respond. Questions clearly asked if anyone has been in a similar position, if you havent then keep it moving. I am gonna call in and just cancel it myself to save a headache, I was just wondering whats the likelihood of getting a second Evo at that 149.99 price is all.

Look through the other wf thread don't let others take u out of character just research the topic you will find your answer .
I started the other thread because I cancelled my wf order the day after delay announcement .
So my suggestion is if you can find it around the same price now get it and cancel your wf order
Edit if you keep the wf order and get in store they will bill you I cancelled they did not ship I believe sprint was the only one who didn't allow to cancel for some time ans still ship the order

I was in the same boat. Ordered from Wirefly, waiting on shipping, got one at Best Buy on launch day.
Cancelling with Wirefly, I found, is easier then getting a phone from them. On your order status page is a link on the right hand side that says "Cancel an Item".
I clicked it, printed the output. And five minutes later had a confirmation email from Wirefly on the cancellation. Done!
Like I said, the only thing easier than buying a phone from Wirefly, is cancelling a phone from Wirefly.

I went into my local Sprint store today to pre-order the Evo 3D. All I had to do was give them my name, cell number, and e-mail address and I was added to the list. No deposit needed. I asked about getting the yearly upgrade promotional pricing. He said I had a $75 credit due June 1st, but they would most likely manually override it in the system. He gave me a direct number to call to try and get this taken care of.
I just got off the phone, and it was a piece of cake. There wasn't even any menus to go through, the CS rep picked up the phone on the first ring - must be a direct line. Anyway, she asked me a few security questions and then I told her what I was calling about. She said they will put me down to get the $199 promotional pricing not only for my line, but also the other line my girlfriend uses. Said it should take 24-48 hours in the system and they will call me back Wednesday to confirm it. I'm sure your account has to be in good standing to get taken care of. I was thoroughly impressed. The rep at the store told me to stop back up next week and they should know more about the release date.

Its nice you have a good local store, but all the stores around me are terrible. I called in to confirm I could pre order the 3D in the store (as some arent doing accepting preorders yet) and asked what if I needed my account info (as my father owns the account). Left on my lunch break as I work 5 days a week and wasnt going to wait a week to get my preorder in. Arrive to find ~5 customers. I take a seat and wait as all the reps are busy (3). It took me over an hour to talk to a rep and do a 5 minute preorder, which the rep wasnt even sure about how to do it, and she wanted my PIN which I was told on the phone I didnt need.
They didnt ask for my email, only phone number, name, and PIN.
Anyone know if/where you can check the status/confirmation of a preorder? As i am weary that it was done right and really dont want to find out it was done wrong or go back to the store unless its to get my evo 3d

Did you get any type of receipt or put any money down? Why not just go to Best Buy or Radio Shack. All you need is $50 to put down and you will walk out with a gift card and a receipt for your pre-order. No info needed with your Sprint account until you go pickup the phone.
I just like dealing with my local sprint store. They have always been very helpful with any issues I have had. I didn't want to put any money down if it wasn't required. I didn't get a receipt, but he said I will get an email confirmation in 24-48 hours. I didn't think it was that hard to give them my phone #, name, and gmail account. Plus this way, I am now guaranteed the promotional pricing. Not sure I could get that with Radio Shack or Best Buy.

yes i got a receipt that only mentions the $50 gift card purchase and then a separate print out of a confirmation number, but i would like to double check that as the rep (apparently) stopped half way through and realized she was preordering the htc view and not the evo3d, so if theres anyway of checking online I'd very much appreciate it. Plus she needed help a few times from another associate, so assuming this gets as popular as the original evo... I'd like to make sure my preorder is correct.

What did you tell the CS rep? Just that you're looking to upgrade to the EVO 3d, but your line isn't eligible for the full discount?
BTW, If you call that number now, and your upgrade was supposed to be in june, you have to cal back on june 1st, there system does not allow them to push the upgrade when its only a few days away from the month it was supposed to be, but on the first of the month it allows them to do it once the "silver upgrade" is available on your account, according to the person I just talked to from that number
I can confirm I was able to reset the upgrade on my partners account. So now we are looking forward to two EVO 3Ds
So if my upgrade is July something... I should probably wait until then?
I have one that is the $75 eligible upgrade right now, could probably call on that maybe.

I can confirm this works too. I called that number and was told that since my partial upgrade isn't till November and my full upgrade isn't till September 2012 that I could not get the upgrade. I then called the same number again and talked to another rep and explained to them that there nothing defective with my current evo and I know I not eligible for a upgrade but I simply requested a manual override of my upgrade eligibility and they did it for me !! Took about an 30 minutes but it worked. If your eligible for a partial upgrade this process take like 5 minutes tops !! Thanks to the OP.
p.s. I think the buzz word is manual override !!

I wouldn't man. July MIGHT be when the Evo 3D is released or June I don't know. But one month is easier to wait out. I think Sprint only allows for one manual override per line. I would save that override for the future.

I purchased my EVO last July, sold it back to sprint (should've ebayed it) and now am having issues with my Hero. I'm going to move away from CM on my hero to see if thatll change anything.
It randomly powercycles, it won't send or receive texts sometimes, and is just a pita! Lol
With all this talk of HTC locking the bootloader and all the speculation, I may just jump ship and move away from HTC all together.

I pre ordered the Samsung Nexus S 4G from Best Buy.... bought the $50 gift card and everything... Never got the call when they came in.
Got one of our lines bumped up to the full upgrade eligibility, and was told to try calling back in July to see about getting another one done.
The gentleman I talked to said it is a "program they are currently running, and he is unsure when they will stop this promotion."

Well I am in the same boat as everyone else that order technically on the 20th before Midnight central time....all day I have been checking myorder status and each time has been the same with "order in process"....then I logged into my account and checked order history and seen my order cancelled and then reprocessed later on the 21st....Just checked minutes ago to see if there has been any update since plenty people who ordered after me seem to be getting their orders with tracking # and low and behold my order has been updated with a tracking # that guarantees it by 3pm tomorrow.......I live in Wisconsin so the myth about East coast only seems to be wrong too, at least that a myth i read about...

i did get the email that it has been shipped and that it should be here by the end of the day tom.
so i expect the phone to be here, if its not here tom, then i will be calling sprint and having a little talk with them.
if a mistake was made by someone and they posted the phone on the site the day before then they should allow it and "satisfy" the customer.
but im not worried.
i would imagine they would have emailed me if the order was canceled and not on the way.

i have done it before with a problem i had when i had the mogul and i got the touch pro for free without using my upgrade...
but, like i said. im not worried. and the end of the day this is just a phone and while i will enjoy messing with it ( mostly dirty 3d pictures and videos) i do have a new evo i got after i my original evo crapped out on me.
Well this sucks ass! I ordered after 11 mountain time last night and all my order dates show the 21st but I have the same cancelled item as previously mentioned. It does show processing just beneath it, but what do you know, the online order number is now closed. Crap!

i got a $22 credit from them for the errors so far. and i'll be going back for more if i don't receive tracking info. least that covers tax, and $8 more, and it'll match what i was paying wirefly with next day air.
Mine just says, order in progress. Ordered mine 2327 on 20th.

thats funny. you could probably delete the second message and show them the original message and the manager might side with you. or at least give you a free something when you come back friday for them making you drive there for nothing.

I stopped at Sprint and asked there as well, just for kicks - same story. They can't sell or activate them in-store until Fri.
That said, they did admit that someone came in with one earlier to get help activating it - and they couldn't - but that the customer COULD activate it on their own.

Trust me, if we could activate them now, I'd already have one here at home with me. Last guy that did that (with the shift) got canned, and word on the street has it that our new POS (piece of sh!t) system won't allow us to ring em out till friday.

Funny you talk about the new POS, I was in there today buying a Defender and the guy was having a hell of a time using my $10 off coupon on it. Reading this thread, it kills me to think my new precious was sitting in back while I was there and I can't have it.
Should have gone to the Sprint store. I got a 2nd one today, w/o pre-order, from the sprint store itself. I went in there and asked if they had received their 3d's, the manager said yes. So I asked if I could by one right now, he said yes again, and 20 minutes later I left with a nice present for my girlfriend.

Anyway...
I have 2 lines - my 2nd line is getting upgraded... then I need to change the numbers on the phones.
She got excited and asked what phone was on the second line, and I told her they were two Evo's. She's like, "Bring them both in and upgrade them both!"
And went on to talk about the ugprade plans and stuff. They "have extra phones" and she was anxious to put another in my name - like she can't wait to get rid of the extra stock.
Basically, if you have a 4g, they'll take it, and give you the 3d at the $199 price...
Somehow she got $300 without an eligible upgrade, and a $100 trade in credit.
That seems strange to me.
Anyway - the person with the 2nd line likes their evo and doesn't want to upgrade. And I want to sell mine on Ebay.
So...
I'm going to have to try hard not to let her rip it out of my hands in the morning. Apparently they want them badly.

i am fuming right now. spoke with store manager on monday and got my preorder as a silver premier member expecting it the next day. they said i wouldnt get it until today.
today, coworker goes in to pick it up and they wont let us pick it up until tomorrow! they say that the phone cant be activated until the actual launch date, but thats such BS. people have been activating and using their EVO3D for a couple days now! i spoke to one of the reps saying that premier customers get it 3 days ahead and its even on their website!
freakin raging and just wanted to vent since ive been looking forward to this phone all year.

Ok, since several have already so eloquently described how you are completely mistaken and have no reason to be upset, let me explain.
Tuesday morning at midnight sprint.com started allowing orders on the web site for the phone, the people that have them now are those who ordered online after that time. The phone doesn't officially go on sale until 6/24. A pre-order simply guarantees that there will be one waiting there for you once the phone goes on sale to the general public. Most retailers are opening an hour early to fulfill pre-orders and let those individuals get their phones and accessories before the general sale. Therefore, unless you ordered from sprint.com, you have to wait till the 24th to get the phone. I pre-ordered on 5/25 and I still have to wait till tomorrow to get my phone.

If you purchase from a Sprint store or sprint.com you always have the option to charge to your account as long as you have sufficient room under your spending limit. If you ever do an insurance claim for a phone you have the same option, you can either pay Asurion the $100 or have it charged to your Sprint bill.

What makes you so special that you get the phone at the store a day earlier than everyone else? Quit crying and wait till tomorrow like anyone else who pre-ordered the phone.

I'm particularly upset because he said I could pick it up today and now have to wait because of a BS excuse meanwhile everyone is playing with theirs already.
You guys sure are mean today because I'm sure many of you are familiar with the idea of getting the new toy on release date. It's not like I have a number in line or anything, there is a box with my name on it in the store and I can't even get it is why I am upset.

He probably doesn't want to risk losing his job for selling it early. Sprint themselves stated Premier members could order early on the website and most of the people who have it early did that. If I was a Sprint store manager and my best friend wanted it the day before and I know there was more than a 10% chance I'd lose my job over it I'd tell him to wait till the next day and I'd just hold his for him.

I don't think people are being mean but it's kinda obnoxious that you want it a day earlier because your name is on one, so are many other people and they have to wait till tomorrow. I ordered from amazon and have to wait till Tuesday. That's the price I pay for paying 470 for it.
I was not trying to come off as obnoxious, but I was upset that I couldn't pick it up because it can't be activated until tomorrow which is a total lie.
I'll just drink some cognac in the meantime to pass the time =)

How is it a lie? The employees are under very strict orders not to activate them before hand. If they do they risk punishment, or termination. To me that says I can't activate a phone for you ahead of time.

It's not a lie. Sprint employees are not allowed to activate Evo 3Ds until the 24th regardless of your premier status. People who have the phone now are the ones that bought from the premier store on Tuesday.
I'm guessing this also means that if you have a defective Evo 3D, then you are SOL? Or can a manager make an exception?
There's a lot of difference between store getting a delivery of phones, and store allowing to sell a phone.
If you are in such rush to get it NOW NOW NOW, why didn't you order it online? I had mine in my hands yesterday.

They said they are getting them in order of when they were ordered and they have already received 100 of them. All I van say is that there is no way I wasn't one of the first 10 people to order, never mind 100.
Anyway now they can't tell me how long until it comes in, said it could be tomorrow or in a month. Shoulld I just order from att now or wait? How long will it take for me to get one from att? I don't know what to do.
Wait a week, if you don't have your phone from BB then grab one in store from AT&T, that or call local shops to see when they get theirs in store, because if you already paid off your pre-order to BB then the refund/reset process wont be pretty.
I call BS on them getting 100 in already. No way. I'd do what the above post said, just wait until Thursday when AT&T is supposed to have them in store. I just placed an order over the phone with AT&T on Friday, but we'll see if it gets here before Thursday. Not sure if it will...

There is a guy in the Best Buy thread who can help you. First find out what store# you preordered from (will be on your preorder agreement and/or your receipt) and post in the thread asking if he can look it up for you. He can see how many they have on hand, on order and when they'll arrive. His name is driftr319.

Pretty much....you can cancel your preorder with them and return your GC for a full refund with no problems, if you so choose. If they give you a hard time, speak to a manager and show them the verbiage on the preorder agreement you have where it states exactly that.

Yep, so much for that idea
Word on the street is that the new in-store launch date for AT&T is 6.28.12. I doubt stock levels are gonna be very high so if your intention is on getting one same day I'd suggest you get there as close to opening as you can. Same for Best Buy and other retail locations.
I can look at how many each bby store has and his many they have in order if you pm me with the store number
I would also like to add that bby has ****ty systems that aren't always accurate
