No sir. Mine says pre-order with a check mark underneath. From my experience, keep calling to get a reasonable answer. It is super frustrating, but if you're like me, waiting isn't an option.

That's up to the employees at the store. We will do it if the customer only has a PO box or something. So just say that and you should be fine.

I wouldn't read that much into it. Just like we got a "backordered" email, it just fills dates and stuff in. I'd expect it to ship by the 15th.

Yeah, the previous wording made me think we might get them earlier in the week, but now it looks like the 17th is as early as possible.
I guess its just one more reason to look forward to Friday
When i ordered mine today it said they should ship by the 16th.
Five minutes later i got an email saying it was sent to the warehouse for shipping.

I think we all got different notifications based upon the avenue in which we purchased or upgraded. I upgraded through Premier and I'm supposed to get my phone by the 17th and it is supposed to be shipped Fedex overnight. I don't think we can assume what AT&T will do until we start getting shipping notifications and tracking numbers.

I ordered mine from ATT on Monday at lunch. They couldn't find it in system Sunday.
So, I went back Monday with the ATT SKU #. I told them to ship to store, 'cause I leave for Asia on the 18th and if it's not there by 17th my salesman said it would be held there under my name.
So, here's to hoping the "store" gets their shipments first, and mine gets thrown in with their stuff.
I go to Hong Kong and China regularly so I'm very familiar with the Int'l Note, but didn't want to spend 700+ for one in HK or China with no warranty except thru my friends there that I'd have to ship it back to for service.
Plus, getting it for 300 sans Exynos I figure is an even toss up for the cost savings.

it could be that amazon has placed 2 orders with the manufacturer.
when i preordered mine on the 9th of may, it still says delivery on the 30th. i spoke on the phone with amazon.co.uk and they told me that they have delivery of an amount of handsets for the 29th and then a bigger delivery on the 6th of june. So i presume is whoever managed to order one early on gets it a bit sooner, and if the stock for delivery on the 30th is gone, then that is why your's might come a bit later.
Amazon.co.uk website is still offering preorders for delivery on the 30th of both blue and white.

I got an email May 10th saying mine will be delivered June, between 4 and 9, no more emails since
I pre-ordered the white one on May 12th on Amazon.de, and haven't gotten the email yet. Spoke with Amazon reps some of them said that this is a "technical error" (that I haven't received the email), others have said that it might be dispatched, but that they "don't want to make any false promises". My status page still says 30.5.

There are quite a few in the amazon forum reporting that amazon told them upon request (like the chat) that there is a delay of one or two weeks and that the displayed delivery date of the order may not be correct.
I am one of those.
I have read at least one updating the shipping method to the fast one and this caused the delivery date to be updated to about two weeks later.
According to most personal of amazon.de this delay includes anyone who did a preorder.
We'll have to wait until next week to find out if this is true.

Yes, but this one is not sold by Amazon directly, but by Notebook.de. Amazon still sells at 587 EUR with 1-3 weeks delay.

I don't think you'll get lucky with a normal vendor.
Don't expect saturn or mediamarkt to have them any time soon, the austrian ones are always slow on picking up new stuff compared to the german ones.
Maybe there is more luck with a mobile operator, but I did not check on this since I am not interested in buying it with a contract and have it sim-locked (if you are willing, then the offer from orange.at might be a good one).
But hey, it's 'just' supposted to be one or two weeks.

I heard from 1 person in Seattle, claiming he received his late last night. I recall from the 900 ship, my device was half way here before I received a shipping notification.
I've never had any shipping issues with AT&T. For me, when they say it will be there....its always been.
Mine says the 9th....I'm pretty much satisfied that it will be.

That has been my experience in the past when I have ordered phones direct from ATT, but in the past 3 years or so, I have bought mine from Amazon, Dell, or in the stores. Glad to hear this hasn't changed!

First thing Wednesday I went to the local AT&T store and ordered the black 920 to be shipped to my home, The salesperson was familiar with but unsure if I was getting the charging base offer. Thursday I received a USPS shipping confirmation for the phone item 6027A as well as one for a "Various SIM" item 72290. Friday morning the phone was in the store and the shipping confirmation showed Memphis USPS departure that day, Friday.
I assume that I am not getting the charging pad as others have said it shipped separately and it is not on the shipment notification. Item 72290 is an actual micro SIM SKU.

I think Samsung screwed up the CC process and told a bunch of folks that payment was declined. Funny how putting the same info in fixed it huh? I bet if you call your bank you will get same answer I did, that the bank never blocked or denied anything.

For those in this situation, I sympathize.
If you plan to keep your Note, I'd push heavy on Customer Service for some type of compensation.
Worse case, they say no but I've got them, Samsung Customer Service, to commit to a 256GB MicroSD card in lieu of the 6 to 8 week delay for the original 128GB MicroSD pre-order.

Wow ordered the note 8 minutes after watching the apple event and it arrived yesterday!
Ok ordered unlocked on Aug 31st. They held money for couple of days and returned it. Got an email a couple of days ago that there was a payment issue. Entered same payment info then money held again. Today money was returned again. WTF samsung what is going on? This is a cluster f**k.
I would say Samsung is screwing something up on the payment side, they keep telling folks there is a payment issue and that's not the case. It has to be internal to Samsung. When I called the bank, they said nothing had been block or denied.

Burned again by Samsung
Black unlocked with SD card/charger promo. Ordered 8-28 free shipping. Still in system as pre-order. No communication from Samsung. Samsung support referred me to Samsung eCommerce phone which had no further info except that they show pre order and that there are no issues with payment as it has been approved. Customer rep Seemed clueless probably outsourced. Unacceptable that there has been no msg from Samsung...if the delay is due to hurricane just tell us! piss poor service... especially after N7!
