Okay folks. Samsung already started send out email about delay shipping until next week, and alot people received the email. Poor service, all carrier sent out week early, and main company as is Samsung : delay.

I think Samsung screwed up the CC process and told a bunch of folks that payment was declined. Funny how putting the same info in fixed it huh? I bet if you call your bank you will get same answer I did, that the bank never blocked or denied anything.

For those in this situation, I sympathize.
If you plan to keep your Note, I'd push heavy on Customer Service for some type of compensation.
Worse case, they say no but I've got them, Samsung Customer Service, to commit to a 256GB MicroSD card in lieu of the 6 to 8 week delay for the original 128GB MicroSD pre-order.

Ok ordered unlocked on Aug 31st. They held money for couple of days and returned it. Got an email a couple of days ago that there was a payment issue. Entered same payment info then money held again. Today money was returned again. WTF samsung what is going on? This is a cluster f**k.
I would say Samsung is screwing something up on the payment side, they keep telling folks there is a payment issue and that's not the case. It has to be internal to Samsung. When I called the bank, they said nothing had been block or denied.

Samsung support referred me to Samsung eCommerce phone which had no further info except that they show pre order and that there are no issues with payment as it has been approved. Customer rep Seemed clueless probably outsourced. Unacceptable that there has been no msg from Samsung...if the delay is due to hurricane just tell us! piss poor service... especially after N7!

I don't work for best buy but I can say YES you have to return the case as well. I've never seen a retail that lets you keep the free or rebate stuff if you return it.
Typically, if you keep the freebie, the retail price of the freebie is deducted from your refund amount
In some cases the item can not be returned without all packaging and freebies

Most of the time, if Best Buy give away free stuffs with purchase, it will show as package in the receipt. You will have to return all items in the package to get full refund.
I had the same question because i also preordered the device in store. I called best buys 1-800 but they could not help me out. So i called the store i preordered the At&t Galaxy Note at and they said that once they receive the phones an email will be sent to the email address provided to the sales associate and a phone call will be placed to make an appointment to pick up the phone on Sunday. I have not received an email or phone call so maybe my store has not gotten them in stock yet or maybe they just forgot to call me. I preordered the Note on the 5th and was the first one to preorder the phone at this specific location.

I know its not sunday its clearly thursday...the best buy associate stated they get them early and would give me a call once stock was received. So it means that they just have not received them early...you dont have to be a jerk about it just trying to help in this forum.

The BB employee where I ordered my note said they will most likely arrive in stores at 10AM on Friday, with the latest being noon. He said to call Friday morning to check.

Yeah, my order thru BB is the same, free shipping, but equates to SLOW shipping, 5 days. And thats after BB gets the phones into them.
So if you go to BB website and look at GNote it says "ships after 2/19"
So After 2/19 equals Tuesday the 21st since 20th is a holiday, 5 days later you'll get it, so by the 27th is my guess.
I actually ordered thru BB and ATT. My ATT phone JUST shipped and will arrive tomorrow.
And now I can't cancel my BB order cause I'm within 7 days of the launch date.
So I'll have to return it as soon as I get it. Unless I return the ATT phone, but will stink if I have to set up the ATT just to turn around and wipe it and do it all over again with the BB phone.
That's my fault for being inpatient!
But seriously, even if I didn't order one thru ATT, I probably can walk into BB on Sunday and get it.

Consider yourself lucky, mine still shows "pending". yeah, I don't know why they can't ship it to retail. My worst fear is that it's going to take a week and a half to get here, have horrible light bleed, and i'll have to send it back >_< If I could buy it at walmart, I would have it by now, and if it were defective I could take it back and swap it at will. Also, 15 dollars for shipping? And tax? There's no advantage to this online nonsense, only pitfalls.

Same here. Still shows as pending with a shipping estimate of November 15th. Charge hasn't gone through on the credit card either. I didn't even order the 32gb, I ordered the 16, which is still available on the Play Store. This is ridiculous.

Be happy you knew when the release date was--I preordered the Nexus 7 and had to wait more than two weeks, most of the time in the dark as to when it was actually being shipped out. Not only that, but brick-and-mortar stores ended up selling them before Google had shipped the preorders. It was really annoying and ten times more tortuous than this.

Not all business customers. I ordered mined on the 4th. still shows pending shipment. Although hopeful that it will change before Tuesday.
I ordered on 4/4 right when pre-orders started and my phone changed to shipped just a bit ago with a tracking number that doesn't work just yet.

Mine shipped too. Received the notification on 4PM central. Its actually surprising that I'm expected to receive it April 17th
Also, in case someone gets worried about the HTC Media Link that's supposed to some with it: I called customer care because my shipment notice didn't include it, but the rep said that it should come as an in-box accessory. Would have to wait and see if that's really the case.

I have a dev edition coming but i ordered a 64 gb from ATT today. Just got off the phone actually. They jacked my premier site up and the shopping tab wasnt visible. They fixed that but said it would be 24 hours before it showed up. So i called in and ordered. I asked if they were on back order, she checked the SKU of the 64gb and said it showed -157 (negative). I wonder if that is the total amount ordered or the amount on backorder... She didnt know. Anyway they knocked 200 off the price even though i got an upgrade in November. Added overnight fed ex. Hopefully it ships tomorrow.
Mind's 32gb normal ed. Its also through FedEx if that makes any difference and I placed my order on the 4th.

I hate to start another waiting room thread, but I stumbled across a few articles wherein Samsung commits to every preorder being delivered by 9/14. Here's one:

A different article stated that Samsung is doing this to deflate the upcoming I-Phone release. Anyone have any thoughts on this? With all the late september/early october shipping estimates that we got when we ordered (I ordered unlocked under the note 7 promo last week, got an October 1st shipping estimate), is it possible that they will all be delivered this week?
Dud I also got the Oct 1 date for the unlocked version, I would call Samsung if you can't wait.

I don't know, doesn't seem to be any logic or reason behind Samsung shipping phones. Some people ordered last Friday and got the phones yesterday or today. Some like myself ordered on the 24th and still have nothing. Would like to believe it, but I will be surprised at this point If I get my phone this week. Samsung already failed to live up to its promises made to me, so I don't have much faith in them.

The $150 is only for preorders. That goes away on the 15th. That's the only reason that I did it that way.

Just a bit jealous of all of the people who already have them. I know that this is how BB does things, though. Is what it is, I guess.
Looks like this was fud as well. 14th is here, and I doubt mine will show up. I now hopefully will get it before October. The 150 dollars in now going on week 3 of watching other people get thier phones. Doesn't help that Samsung customer lack of service has mislead me time and time again.

So I was hoping to receive it not later than September 27th. A week later I got another e-mail saying it would be shipped week of September 27. When I pull it up on the Shop Samsung App it says Status: Review in Progress.
So how could I receive an e-mail saying approved with a shipping date, then a 2nd e-mail with a revised shipping date but yet the Samsung App says "Review in Progress".
Contacted Samsung US chat support was told that my promo was never approved and she had no idea why I had received e-mails stating approval and shipping dates. Asked for her Supervisor and chat pod immediately closed. Hmmm. Finally got back in chat pod queue and another chat support person said that I was approved but a mistake had been made and somebody in their warehouse had shipped out 256GB SD cards vice 128GB cards and that shipments had been temporarily suspended pending review of warehouse processes. He said that was probably what prompted 2nd e-mail with delay in shipment.
So 2 chats and two different answers. Not sure which is correct. Definitely appears that information is NOT being disseminated to all chat support personnel or else some are just failing to read the information.
Hopefully, Samsung gets their issues fixed and gets the promotional items out. I haven't bought a Samsung phone in a long while and while I like the Note 8 I am still not a fan of Samsung's customer support. I still call them the Helpless Desk. LOL.
You're luckier than I. I registered on release day too, but mine is still sitting on "Review in Progress".

Wtf. That's crazy you went through all that trouble. The note8 is actually my first Samsung device ever. I love it so much lol. Coming from apple I will say that they have excellent service when it comes to certain issues. Samsung lacks the more professional side of things. They make a damn good phone though. I'm hoping this **** will update and every gets the stuff they opted in for. It kinda sucks we have to wait months. I was on Reddit a few weeks back and saw a post from a guy who still didn't get his note7 stuff. I'm like surely that's an error on his end. Sadly it wasn't. I saw multiple people complaining about it. Either way good luck to you and everyone else!

When I did mine it was approved within 30 minutes. Did you provide all the required info? Maybe Samsung is just slacking right now. Hope it clears up for you

It said "Approved" shortly after I submitted it, but the status has been stuck on "in Progress" ever since. I submitted what I have in the past for Samsung promotions, so it SHOULD be right. I did go for the Gear 360 though, since I'm starting to accumulate a micro mountain of microSD cards, so maybe that's the catch.
Did mine on Saturday night got approved today said shipping the day of the 25th so let's see they pretty quick shipping stuff out cause whwn i did the note 5 promo it took about a month to get all the stuff from them so lets see
Submitted mine on 15th still says claim received.
Says in terms and conditions:
Participants will be sent an email and SMS to confirm that their Claim has been received by the Promoter. Within two (2) days of Claiming Participants will be sent an email and SMS to confirm whether their Claim has been successful and validated (“Claim Validation”)
Shipping Date too far away
I received an email from Samsung saying that my gift submission was approved and that the shipping date is "2017-11-27." That is really far away and late compared to other gifts I have redeemed from them

Samsung normally always says 6-8weeks for there promo gits. Normally you get them about 2weeks later.
Yes alot of use got the approved and est ship date of Oct 1 - 9th. Then it changed to 6-8weeks.
We just gotta wait for it to come. Nothing else we can do, it is a promo and this is pretty much normal for samsung.

Submitted mine yesterday, got the approval yesterday. But they quoted a 12/4/17 estimated ship date...
My claim for the 128GB card and wireless charging piece was approved 9/18/17. I got a notification the next day saying it was approved but it wouldn't ship until the week of 10/30/17. Is it typical for Samsung to take that long getting promo products out? I know somebody above said there was an error with shipping out the wrong cards so I guess my question is more generalized.
Anyone in UK had a Dex claim validated yet. Mine was submitted on 15th, still says claim received.
I submitted on 9/8/17 and it said October 7th at first but now it says ships in 6-8 weeks.

Same here, same date.
I never did get an email. The shopping app says 6 to 8 weeks, from day one. Registered on 9/8.
Got notice it was shipping, 2 hrs latter it was delivered! 10/2/17

Anybody get their promos yet? Original e-mail I got said it would ship in 2-3 weeks. So I should have received promo last week. Still no update on promo website or Shop Samsung app and customer service appears to be clueless at this point. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't complain as it is a "freebie".

Same here. Still says 6-8 weeks and my claim was made 9/6....... I was hoping to get a 256gb card vs the 128 like others were getting but I doubt it now
