[Q] Best ICS stock rom for europe ? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, i'm from belgium, and just bought a SG2 from a friend, but i looked that he updated to ICS I9100XXLPS (which is for Poland) does it matter ?
Is there a better stock ICS rom for belgium ?
Thanks

Give the Nordic XWLPG firmware a try:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487
An excellent rom with very little problems other than the occasional freeze (maybe app related)

No such thing as a best rom, please just search/read and try them until you find what works.
Thanks

Looking for stock rom Claro Ecuador

Hello,
I'm looking for this stock rom :
Country/Provider: Ecuador - Claro
PDA: I9100UHKG7
CSC: I9100ECOKG1
Phone: I9100UHKG4
Version: Android 2.6.35.7 Gingerbread
PCODE: GTI9100LKLECO
HIDSWVER: I9100UHKG7/I9100ECOKG1/I9100UHKG4/I9100UHKG7
kernel version [email protected] #2
I have tried in several places including samfirmware.com with no luck.
According to CheckFus downloader and http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9100 there isn't an official ROM for Ecuador at the moment.
You can try a ROM for Chile (Claro) or Brazil (Claro or unbranded). Actually, you can try any ROM for samsung-updates.com (as long as it's for GT-I9100) because they'll all work with your phone and they all contain Spanish. As for Phone versions, they European ROMs are much better than the Latin American ROMs.
I am from Brazil (Claro) and I am using an European ROM (Nordic Countries, unbranded). It works flawlessly. Using Odin you can have it up and running in less than 3 minutes.
Hi Simonetti2011,
Well, my S2 came with that firmware preinstalled so I'm guessing it is another official firmware (probably from Claro Jamaica) modified for my country and carrier.
I'm using the Australian (UNBRANDED) XWLP8 (ics 4.0.3) without issues as well.
However in the event I want to sell it, I'd hope I could go back to the originial stock firmware.
I did take the precaution of doing a Nandroid backup, but I have read problems of restoring them. The safest way would be to flash the stock rom back.
So, thanks anyway, if you or anyone else gets your hand in that stock firmware, please do share.
EDIT: After your post, I decided to give it another try and find the firmware with CheckFus, but using the Advanced tab. Well, after entering the necessary data, IT FOUND the firmware! GT-I9100_ECO_1_20111005162240.zip (302MB). I confirmed it as well at http://fus.nanzen.se/, by entering the following data:
Model: GT-I9100
Product Code: GTI9100LKLECO
HIDSWVER: I9100UHKG7/I9100ECOKG1/I9100UHKG4/I9100UHKG7
So, now I have it, the original firmware for Ecuador, Claro carrier.

[Q] Which ICS firmware for i9100 VNO Venezuela

My i9100 is VNO, unbranded Venezuela,
I live in Canada, which firmware to update to ICS ?
I'd like get the English and French languages.
Thanks for your help.
All stock ICS ROMs contain all the languages you want and 40+ more.
I suggest you install the GT-I9100 ITV (Italy, unbranded), version I9100XWLPF, because it is the newest, most bug-free, and, IMHO, the best ROM Samsung has to offer today for the GS2.
You can download it using CheckFus or from here:
http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9100
If that answers your question, don't foget to click on "Thanks".

[Q] Flashing German Firmware over French Firmware.

Hey there,
i have a question for the 9100G of my Wife. I have Flashed the 4.0.3 French Version on her Device and now there is a 4.0.3 and rumors about a 4.0.4 in Germany. Can i flash the German 4.0.3 over the existing 4.0.3 French without loosing data?
Best Regards,
Bieka
If it's 4.0.3 to 4.0.3 then yes, if you just flash a pda from sammobile then you shouldn't have a problem at all just flash and all your settings/data should be there!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Ok,
thanks for reply. Having a custom Kernel and flashing an original firmware should overwrite it simply. So i will try it! If its good to know for someone i will report back after flashing!

Additional Details:

Model NO: GT - I9100
PDA: I9100XWLP8
PHONE: I9100XXLPS
CSC: I9100XSALP4
Appreciate your help ...
Thanks,

Couple of places you can get stock roms: Samfirmware.com, here (this site is better than Samfirmware IMHO) or with the PC version of Checkfus (search for it on Google/XDA).
Yes, you can install a stock rom for any region, but with one caveat. If you install a rom that isn't for your region, you may not be able to get future OTA updates from your carrier. Which isn't really a big deal because if your carrier does release a stock rom for your region, you could always download it with Checkfus & flash it with Odin (like almost everyone does on here).

stock no brand ICS rom for 9100P?

Hi, I am looking for no brand ICS stock ROM for 9100P is there any? I only found branded roms from TIM,Orange,O2,...
Also if there is some custom rom (ICS or newer) which have full support of NFC, I would give it a chance. I tryed Vanilla Rootbox for 9100P and it didn't work well.
Thx

So the only one that seems to be no brand is the French version CSC: I9100PLPMLP5 right?
