i have a question for the 9100G of my Wife. I have Flashed the 4.0.3 French Version on her Device and now there is a 4.0.3 and rumors about a 4.0.4 in Germany. Can i flash the German 4.0.3 over the existing 4.0.3 French without loosing data?

If it's 4.0.3 to 4.0.3 then yes, if you just flash a pda from sammobile then you shouldn't have a problem at all just flash and all your settings/data should be there!

thanks for reply. Having a custom Kernel and flashing an original firmware should overwrite it simply. So i will try it! If its good to know for someone i will report back after flashing!

I have a german no brand s2 version. It is a XWKI4 kernel version and I have already rooted it.
This version is still at 2.3.4 version.
I want to upgrade to 2.3.6 version. I saw recently that there is a new version I9100 XILA2 for Italy. Can I use this version?

Hi,
I wan't to revert my SGS2 back to the original Orange UK firmware. I bought it back in June 2011 and quickly flashed to a custom ROM. I would like to use KIES from now on but it doesnt work on the custom ROMS.
I believe my original firmware was:
PDA : BVKE2
PHONE : BVKE2
CSC: ORAKE2
The download link in the Carrier Firmware thread is dead so does anyone have this firmware to upload??
Also, I assume KIES will once again work when I go back to that stock firmware?

the above link if for I9100BVLPB, 4.0.3, available via Kies. So if u flash ur S2 to this ROM, u will be able to use Kies for future updates.

Hello, i'm from belgium, and just bought a SG2 from a friend, but i looked that he updated to ICS I9100XXLPS (which is for Poland) does it matter ?
Is there a better stock ICS rom for belgium ?

Give the Nordic XWLPG firmware a try:

An excellent rom with very little problems other than the occasional freeze (maybe app related)
No such thing as a best rom, please just search/read and try them until you find what works.

Let me start by apologizing if this is already covered, but I have been searchin high and low without result!
I have just flashed the new Jelly Bean Poland ROM! Working like a treat!
BUT... Then I realised that Kies won't find any updates anymore! =(
So I tried to downgrade to Stock 4.0.4. I tried more versions, but all ended up in a bootloop!
So I am looking for a stock ICS 4.0.4 unbranded (Danish) version to flash, so I can get the OTA update when it starts rolling out her in Denmark!
What I had before flashing to JB was:
AP: I9300XXBLH3
CP: I9300XXLH1
CSC: I9300NEEBLH2
Anyone who can guide me in the right direction ?

I Did something really silly the other day as i flashed a rom to my Galaxy S2 i9100 and i stupidly forgot to back up my stock firmware. :silly:
So I was wondering does any one out there know how to get or download the Stock Firmware for the Galaxy S2 i9100 On O2/Tesco in the UK
so i can flash it back to my phone and make a backup of.

If you go to Sam Firmware Brad, you will find stock firmware for O2, which you then flash via Odin
Yeah,go to sammobile,register then firmware page>input
Smartphone
Android
Gt-i9100
02 uk
and pick one of like the 3 roms
Gb
Ics 4.0.3
Ics 4.0.4
and flash it using odin.
