Hi guys,
I know its short after the 2.1 release, but did someone manage to remove the current launcher from the device?
Currently installed Launcher Pro and its running more smoother than the stock launcher.
Tried to find the launcher with Rootexplorer, but it seems it got replaced in a different folder or maybe renamed.
I removed most of the crap using titanium backup
Worked a treat - give it a try.
the are 2 files that may match
/data/data/com.android.launcher <- main launcher?
/data/data/com.sony.uwlop.launcher <- timescape launcher?
How can we remove the Chinese/...-Keyboards?
I can't find them with Titanium.

Really? I can find them with Titanium, just removed danish, chinese and korean. Perhaps you overlooked them?
OK I found them, thx ^^
Further to my original post i used Titanium back up and just froze the home app. seems to work handset much more responsive now
if you guy noticed it's a lil different from 2.2 to 2.3
in 2.2 it's can edit EQ & Effect with soundalive option but in 2.3 it's only edit EQ.
2.2 support big bass when on speaker but 2.3 not
so have you guy can port 2.2 music app to 2.3
if yes, please explain how to do that?
thanks in advance.
Have you tried other player app? I use Power Amp on my phone and the Galaxy player. It has many tone control capabilities.
yes,I already use PowerAmp too !!!
but just wanna know is it possible to port original music player from 2.2 to 2.3
Moved to proper forum
I also want this option to
I have download the Froyo Rom of YP Gb1 for TAIWAN (mine) but don;t know how to find the music apk (
Well, it will be in the /system/app/ folder, not sure how you extract it out of the rom, though.

Use magiciso to open the factoryfs.rfs of the froyo rom. The music player should probably be in /system/app and you can extract it with magiciao as well.

I did download the room from this source
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1227578&page=11
G1ZSKC5(Taiwan/Hong Kong 2.2 rom)
http://115.com/file/aqodk6qn
G1ZCKD1(Chian 2.2 rom)
http://115.com/file/aqon46ip#
KEY:www.sdapk.com

Hi Guy, I have found 2 file apk from Froyo of G1 China version
But it still cannot install to the Gingerbread system
Update: I rooted my phone, removed the music APK and SOUND PLAYER.APK
I use root explorer Pro to paste the two files .apk from China ROOM (FROYO) to my gingerbread sys/app. It can be pasted and changed the permission too
But after reboot, the music cannot be showed!!!! Now my G1 lost MUsic function
Try sideloading them; Go to /system/app/ find your two apks you put in there, click on them and hit install. this works for me with certain apps I put in the /system/app folder. If it still doesn'the work, you can just copy back the old apks and reinstall them.
Notice you called it a G1; the first Android phone was called the G1, do not disrespect it, lol!
I do that but it cannot install
PLease notice that I have posted in this topic with same issue

I have tried to copy the 2.2 froyo apk of Music and Sound Player in system/app then using Root explorer to paste it in 2.3 gingerbread (after upgrade to 2.3, i rooted it with superoneclick)
system/app to replace the 2.3 ones. It can replace however it cannot show the Music application anymore (
Now I am happy with 2.2 Froyo rooted
Hello,
Can anyone post the .apk files for the Android 4 (ICS) versions of Samsung's stock Memo and Task Manager apps? I accidently uninstalled these apps with Titanium Backup and would love to have them back

Download a stock rom and simply extract them yourself with winrar.
(open - system/app)
Thanks, The only builds I can find of stock ICS are Odin ones which don't give me ready access to that folder.
I just installed Revolt and noticed JB no longer had the memo app.
I tried doing a Titanium restore but it didn't work (hung).
I found a thread with a port of Memo to CM7 but it wouldn't install.
I'm fine using an alternative if someone can help me restore my old memos. Any advice?

This is the thread.... I tried installing it on ReVolt 2.3 (JellyBean) and CWM said that it could not install it, failed an assertion

I'm using Siyah 4.1.4 with JB ROM (I believe ReVolt JB is based on CM10)

1. Extract the zip
2. Copy memo.apk to /system/app on your phone using a ROOT explorer,
3. Set permission to rw-r-r
4. Reboot phone

Well, that did install it (I see the icon now - thanks). Unfortunately, the app closes immediately after opening. I also tried using Titanium to restore *just* the data portion for Memo (in case it needed it to work), but that didn't do anything.
Worst case, if I can't get it working... is there a way to look at the data I have saved in Titanium to retrieve my old memos? Assuming they're saved in plain text/viewable with a hex editor?
Memos ae stored in .db file, but recovering it may be impossible.
And if you want working Memo app, here you go:

The only way is to flash a stock based Rom, restore memo.apk data, transfer your memo to another app, backup your memo with that app, or use titanium, then flash back your present ROM, and restore your third-party memo app.

I copied this file into my system/apps die but it still crashes immediately . Could it be that this opex file is causing problems? I think it was there from before...

Well, I deleted the opex and old files, and it started working! And it has my old memos too.
Thanks for everyone's help!

i have cm9 with siya 4 version and i have installed memo app...
and i have my old memos data backuped through titanium..
how to restore the old memos and make it working ??
I used titanium to restore "data only" back for memo app. Copied the above apk (few messages above) to my system/app dir, change permissions to rw-r-r and make sure there are no memo.tmp or memo.opex files. Reboot, and you should see your old memos

Restore Memo 1.0 using "signedMemo.apk"
I flashed my phone to CM 10.1 Pro a few days ago. I successfully restore all my memo installing "signedMemo.apk". Then use Titanium Backup to restore "data" only. Everything is there. What a relief. It took me days to Google it.
Many thanks atarifreak for posting the solution at Android Hilfe (Memo to restore 1.0 cyanogenmod 10)
I hope this will help many of you out there.

Hello I'm just wondering what apps I can delete (System apps obvs) on jelly last 3.0.4 I've seen the apk stock rom deletables but obviously this rom is different to stock
So I would like a list of all apks that can be deleted on jellyblast while keeping it fully operable...
If this list is completed others will be able to use it and make things alot more easier
-Thanks ill try and keep this thread updated with all apks (only post an apk if you have uninstalled it yourself and have no bugs etc.)
The usual "Xx James xX" only on mobile...

This ROM is not different from stock ROM
The list is same as stock ROM with additional deletable apk such that
OTA Updater
ICS Keyboard
System App Installer
etc
Next time either post your question in Jelly Blast thread or
