Thanks. Is anyone able to confirm?
Just look under the battery...........................................................
Not to sound like a smart ass but where else would you look?

simplest way to get the phones MEID is to open the dialer and press ##DATA# click on view mode then go to advanced the MEID HEX will be the First Line and MEID DEC will be the second line followed by the ESN

If you remove the top-back panel on the LTE, it will reveal the microSD and the label with all of the ESN info.

I dont believe him, I contacted him and he said
"It is not impossible. I have sold 3 on ebay already and I have one that I own myself that is flashed to boost. If you are interested in buying one please contact me if not then have a great day"
I have flashed HTC Incredibles, Evo's, Shifts, and Galaxies, but the 3D is out of the question.
Why is the 3d out of the question?
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
The 3D has been flashed to other carriers.
I've seen a few shops here selling 3D's on a carrier called Cricket. Not sure about Boost but I don't see how it's out of the realm of possibility.
The 3D should be impossible because Htc made it so once a scan For ESN and MEID locations start that it will hide it automatically. I forgot the encryption type they use but I know you can't scan it, (google it if u don't believe me) so only way to zero out the esn is by manually finding it by looking through trillions of esn and MEID locations.
Therefore it can only mean is fake he claims he has sold but has no history of selling any.
Trust me if that were possible I would be one of the first ones to find out because not even in download mode I'm I able to scan for locations.

Cricket is possible because they accept the bad esn and enter it in their system but to change to Boost Mobile will not work since u need to clone a phone into it.

Supposedly is flashed to Boost Mobile.
I did a trade here on XDA for my wife's Evo (which she loves) but it seems that the person that owned it before me flashed it to boost mobile. I really have no clue about anything when it has to do with flashing carriers as I've never had to do it.
The phone works fine except she can't send or receive texts with out some sort of attachment (a little annoying attaching a pic to a text when I just want to send a simple text). Also occasionally when she makes a phone call it will tell her to call boost mobile.
The person that owned it before me relocked the phone and left it rooted.
My question is...
Can I unlock it and flash a stock rooted Sprint ROM? Will that get rid of any boost mobile traces. Or should I just take it to Sprint with my pants jacked to my tits druling and act like a retard?
Happy wife... happy life.

Try this.
1. Write Sprint PRL back to the device.
2. Dial ##786# from the dialer. Enter the SPC (you probably set it to 000000 after flashing. Hit menu in the upper right corner and go ahead and reset.
Reboot the device. You should see the hands free activation pop up upon the next reboot.

nice! let us kno how it goes
I haven't had much time to research this but my wife's Evo has the 1.5 hboot. I was told by a WELL respected "recognized dev" to root, s-off, custom recovery and flash a Sprint ROM and all traces of boost mobile will be gone. With the 1.5 hboot it seems I'm kinda screwed.
If I'm wrong about the 1.5 hboot you'll have to excuse me. I've been out of the HTC scene for a while.
Am I wrong about the 1.5 hboot being unlockable?
Edit. My wife took it to sprint when she first got the phone and I think they updated it. Bastards!

Interestingly,
I came across this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/130927878604?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
Is this for real?
he also claims getting 4g with a t-mobile SIM.
Maybe someone can get a hold of this? Might be the key to unlocking the 1700 HSPA+ band.
Just my two cents.

Its real....... Also look at the feedback?
Also looks smaller than 4.7in so it might be something different.
I think T-Mobile may have flipped something on today. In SLC,UT my coworker showed me his ONE with LTE and asked me WTF is it. One bar and speed test showed 5m ↑ and 10m ↓ so kinda weird. Checked the info settings under *#*#info#*#* and sure enough it said lte.

Yeah, wrong thread but the answer is no. Bootloader unlock and flashing/rooting is different from SIM unlocking. But why would you buy on contract then SIM unlock? That doesn't even make sense.

Hey,
Well my phones digitizer is failing and is very sensitive. If I press hard enough it'll make some dead pixels. The screen is also out of place on the phone. The top right corner of the screen is inside of the frame. If I send my phone in will it give me my EVO back or a newer phone like everyone was talking about in that on thread?
Would they care if its S-off? And rooted?

Sprint its a $100 deductible.
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk
The issue of the phone being rooted and S-off seems to vary. I've seen some people mention that Sprint didn't care, while others mentioned having issues getting Sprint to fix or replace devices based on the fact that it's rooted. As far as whether or not you'll get your phone back or get another EVO LTE, I'm not sure how that works. When my wife had her S2 the power button went bad and I took it to Sprint, who replaced it with another S2.
Sent from my HTC EVO 4G LTE
Probably replaced with an EVO LTE as they still have em in stock and you can even still purchase one for free with a contract. I suggest taking it in to Sprint first before doing the Asurion deductible. Sometimes they replace free of charge. Ps deductible is actually $150, I had to get one myself a while back..

if Sprint, Virgin and Boost won't claim this phone and say that it is not in any of their databases, who else sold Sprint branded phones? I just want my MSL to move it to StraightTalk and all I have gotten is a headache. At least I know my ESN is clean..but this phone is driving me nuts!! Any ideas?

Would love to, but I have no idea what rooted means.. I'm scared to change any settings on this phone right now not knowing what changing those settings may cause.

Your guess is as good as mine.. what is rooted?
You can download the app "Root Checker" from the Play store. It's fairly self-explanatory. Also, you might want to take a look at the guide in the link below:
