I have just got the Samsung Galaxy S3. This is my first Android phone since HTC Desire HD & they have changed a lot since then.
I am trying to find a way round using the Sky Go App which is not compatible with Galaxy S3 yet & Sky have said no idea when. I have searched through the threads & I'm a bit lost with what they are saying.
I am wondering if there is a step by step guide anywhere that explains what is required & how to do it?
Many Thanks in advance.

Folks,
sorry to bother you but not sure where I should turn next. Like most of us here I am the proud owner of the AT&T version of the Galaxy S II One of the features it was suppose to have is the ability to stream from your 2011 Samy HDTV to your Galaxy S 2 or Tab. I have such a TV (PN64D7000) and wanted soo bad to try this.
However when I go to the market it says my phone is NOT compatible??? Huh???
In every web article I have seen about this I have never seen any blub saying its only working for certain versions of the Galaxy S II.
(for example this one: http://www.engadget.com/2011/06/02/samsung-smart-view-shrinks-smart-tv-down-for-your-galaxy-s-ii/)
I have tried to contact the Andriod Market folks to see why. I also asked Sammsung Tech support as well. I guess the next stop is AT&T?
Just was not sure where to go next as I want to play with this feature.. Any other ideas?
I did see another XDA thread in the general apps section about where they are trying to port this apps to non sammy phones...
There are 2 fixes. Take out your SIM card and download through the Android Market. Or turn on Airplane mode, then just turn WiFi on and download.

Hey there,
thanks for the reply. I tried both and neither worked. Each time I only could see the remote and a few other apps. Any other ideas as it sounds too simple even for me to screw up Thanks again!

You can try this approach found on youtube that worked for the Note 3:

Forgive me if there is already a thread relating to this but I couldn't find one in the development section, or on YouTube.
I'm kinda confused about rooting my tab because every guide or video seems to be relating to the WiFi version of the tablet. I got mine through Rogers.
I don't have mine on a contract, but I could get a data plan with it. I believe it's 4G.
From what I can see it is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-7500R, and below that it says WiFi 16 GB.
Would the guides under development work for my tab? Or am I going to need to use a different method?

Hi,
I recently bought the new Samsung Galaxy S2 LTE SGH 1757M (Bell Canada) and is wondering if using the 1777 ROM (this forum) would be acceptable. I was unable to find a section dedicated to my phone.
Thank you
I would guess if you want to turn your phone into a paperweight, go ahead. But if you need a phone, I wouldn't try it.

i have already successfully rooted in the past (had the galaxy s). But i am also aware, that a slight change could cause error (this is why i am asking). Isn't there any section on this forum dedicated to the new Galaxy S2 LTE?
Your phone model is SGH-I757M. You could have searched, but you can go here as a starting place. Maybe you can find more info around there. BTW, this was the first result from a google search using the terms "sgh-i757m xda"
To make your life easier when searching, it's i757m, not 1757m. Same in here, it's i777, not 1777.
Thanks everyone for your input. case solved.
OP - please take a few minutes in the future, and do some searching. No need for this thread at all.
I just got a Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 for Christmas, and it's a lot better than my iPod Touch. I've pretty much figured out how everything works, and I've done research on rooting before. I would like to root my device, but there doesn't seem to be clear instructions anywhere. I understand all the risks (I had a jailbroken ipod touch, so I'm fine with the risks that rooting carries).
Can anyone provide me with instructions on how to root my device? I've heard of software like SuperOneClick and Odin, but I'm not sure if any of them work for my device.
Have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1884071, it's all well explained
