[Q] Problem doing NVFlash. Urgent! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey.
Since i installed Cyanogen mod 7, I've been in big problems.
So I tried to NVFlash (forum.xda-developers.c o m/showthread.php?t=1044326&page=1) NOTE! Remove spaces between com
But after having entered the command into command prompt, it gives me this error:
downloading bootloader -- load address: 0x108000 entry point: 0x108000
sending file: fastboot.bin
/ 1024992/1024992 bytes sent
fastboot.bin sent successfully
waiting for bootloader to initialize
bootloader downloaded successfully
failed executing command 14 NvError 0x120000
command failure: partition download failed
What do i do? Other people have the same problem. See page 28 int he thread (Link above)
I couldn't post in the thread itself, as i am a new user.
Thanks for all help!

[Q] Need to install DjSteve Rom using Mac

I am looking for update my ATT dell Streak with O2 2.1 on it to DjSteve Rom but i am not been able to do anything using MAC ?
can someone please help me how can i make it happen using mac
You can do all the steps list on the Mac without issue.
1) Install the Android SDK and make sure it is in your system path so the commands will be recognized.
2) Follow the rest of the steps, but when using fastboot make sure to use the PC commands, not the Mac (Mac commands did not work for me)
If you give me specifics of where you are I may be able to help
you dont need to download the SDK, just grab the fastboot files
Not Android Development you could have asked the question in steves thread and not created a new thread

i did not find viewpad 10
This is still the development forum, which is only supposed to be used for posts about new software development, try asking this in general.
Maybe some admin can move the thread ?

1) you need to read some more
2) you probably open the command prompt from the wrong folder
3) you haven't set your environment paths
If you don't know what 2 and 3 mean then that proves you haven't done enough of number 1
Thank you !
Dear cdzo72
Thanks for your advices that I can flash any custom recovery to my Dell Streak 5 , but new question come : Whethet not all recoveries applicable to Dell Streak 5 or some technical problems which I cannot still tackle ?

First of all what are you trying to get accomplish?
By flashing StreakMod you are then able to flash zip files (custom ROM's, themes, etc...)
Stock recoveries are for flashing stock ROM update packages. The recovery has to match the ROM or at least the region.
Now let me say this again as politely as possible.... The fact that you asked what you did proves 1 of two things.... You haven't read OR you don't understand what you're reading. In either case I strongly suggest you get a grasp of what you are doing BEFORE you end up with a device you can't repair

I don't have this device but, your best bet is to post this question within the following Q&A thread that's specific to your device.

TWRP "unable to mount /data" every time?

Hi there
i need some help because I cant find an answer after long searching:
I have installed TWRP and rooted my galaxy s7 edge according to the guide from here. After that I installed the TGP custom firmware by rebooting into TWRP, click on 'format data' and flashed the zip file. All is working perfect. But then i tried to install Youtube Vanced, its also a zip file. So I reboot into TWRP, trying to flash and got the error message I wrote above. Do I have to always format data first to mount the /data storage? This method is very time wasting, is there an other solution to flash zip files with root?
thanks
