mr lumpistefan
i have posted many posts on the forums and have emailed you for help but you never seem to reply sir ,and you seem to be the only person who can actually help me if you can pls sir as i cannot get my wallaby working like i said ,,all i get is when i plug in the usb sync lead on my pc in device manager i get HTC USB SYNC ,,what ever flashing software i use it wont work it says please connect via active sync but i cant as i have no rom on pda also i have no bootloader to flash via sd card ,,and fix bootloader tool wont work either as it wont connect with pda or communicate
i no the device can be recovered because its still working just needs the software rom and bootloader back so if you can show me how to flash my pda back to life i would be very grateful ,i have checked continously on the entire forum for my problem and i coudnt find nothing related to it
I agree
Tends to be a common problem and I've been coming to the site for months looking for help and have yet to find it. Any help would be appreicated.
Hello pdaman.
Sorry, that you didn´t get an answer from me, but do not know any other solution than mentioned here in the forum. I think the device is stuck, because you don´t have access to the bootloader to flash a new ROM via SD, and you can´t repair your bootloader, because the device do not came up , so that you get an connection via ActiveSync.
I personaly do not know any other solution to reflash the device....
Stefan
maybe this for the bold and brave

i dont get it ,,,,if the device shows HTC usb sync in device manager and the device is working fine just needs bootloader and rom back how can you say i,m stuck ,,,i spoke to many pda engineers all quoting me around 30pounds sterling to fix it so it is possible to do so oh welll it seems 1000's of people using this forum hasnt come across htc usb sync before? when i check on google htc usb sync i see that the treo handset uses similar features theres even special rom flash software that communicates with my pda right now but again there for treo and i contacted the software developers but no reply
i am trying my best to find a cure for this ,,,i,m so glad my blueangel device isnt as crude as the wallaby as i destroyed the bootloader many times on my blueangel and recovered it in seconds but the wallaby is so delicate
i will keep everyone posted if i find a way of flashing a wallaby device while theres no bootloader and os on it and it shows HTC usb sync in device manager and if theres anyone out there reading this please please share it with us as i,m sure i am not the only one who has this problem
know that ur frustrated but if the Stefan said that he honestly dont know the solution than why blame him bcoz "device is stuck", he helped to a tons of people about software problems with wallaby and Im sure that he would help you too if he know the solution

Try recover your phone with ncs (if it enter in bootloader mode)
if you cannot acsess to bootloader (nokia dload) it will be good idea to charge your phone
That's exactly how my Lumia died, it was not recoverable, I had to get it replaced under warranty.
Hey guys, I have a problem. I probably soft-bricked my phone. I wanted to flash rom from needrom, but after the green circle showed up, my phone won't boot, not even into recovery or factory mode. I wanted to try other Roms to unbrick it, but there is this ENABLE DRAM FAILED problem...
Windows recognizes that phone is connected, but error from the picture shows up everytime. I tried two cables, usb drivers from many sources, two notebooks, but nothing helped. I am sure that i tried ONLY rom for my phone, nothing other. I tried too a special video tutorial on youtube for Star S5, which could prevent the error if i put battery in phone after I connect it. Diddn't work either.
I red somewhere on the xda that if mobile can be connected and is recognized by computer, there is still a chance, but I am quite hopeless right now.. Please help if you know how to, or ask anything that should help you to recognize the problem, I'll answer imidiately.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP!
Yes, unfortunatelly same problem by flashing bad rom from needrom, which is still posted on their websites, so be careful!!
If anyone could help with this error it would be great.
thanks a lot :good:
Thanks a lot! Please, anybody knows how to solve this problem?
..anybody?
Hi guys
i picked up a lumia 800 from work that was ex display. it has the demo content on it, and i can't seem to remove it. I even gave it to my Nokia rep and they cant remove it either.
I tried following the instructions on this site, but Navifirm doesnt work anymore and the phone isnt being detected by nokia care suite.
does anyone have the required files/programs saved somewhere and can help me out?
It's a RM-801 - Lumia 800 - Australia.
Thanks guys,
Chris

Hi Chris, you can try Nokia Software Updater for Retail, just read THIS
Can't found a working download link so I have to search in my backups if you can't find one.

Hi thanks for the tip.
I followed the instructions as per the program, and it works for the most part. when the phone reboots from the flashing of the new firmware, everything is fine... but then it says "preparing" and starts loading demo content on the phone again.. I think i need to update the ROM not just the firmware..
Is there a way to do that?

OK, you've got a demo version and ii's not recognized with ncs, can you tell me what happens when you power off the phone and then power on your device with the power on button and the volume up button pressed on the same time, if I'm correct you will feel a short buzz, then connect it to your pc and if you got a message to format your drive always press "NO" .
If nothing happens also let me know.
Greetz,
Yep, the phone made a short buzz when i held the power and volume up button, but did nothing else.
then i connected it to my computer via USB and it buzzed again but for longer. nothing happened on my PC. Then it buzzed again and turned on by itself, back into demo mode.

If you need a rom for your device just let me know.
Greetz,
Hi all,
I've got a Lumia 920 Cyan (RM-820) and it died during update. I had those problems before and I am familiar with Nokia Care suite and all hard reset procedures, but this time it won't respond to anything. Hard reset button combination doesn't make it vibrate and turn on. Holding volume down when sticking charger in doesn't work either. Charging screen won't appear. When connected via USB all my PCs fail to recognize this device( taking into account that other lumia 920 i have is recognized so drivers are installed correctly). Anyone has any ideas? Any forced flashing sw available?
you tried official Nokia Software Recovery Tool?

Yes, even with this doesn't work
I've got one idea that might work... I thought that battery might not charge properly and phone could get stuck in discharged state. I'll try swapping a battery with a charged one and see if anything happens. It's all based on assumption that charging might not be working during update. If assumption is wrong it won't help i guess
Tried swapping batteries. Didn't help... Any other ideas?

Have you tried using Navifirm and download compatible firmware for your 920 within your region and flash it using Nokia Care Suite? I wish I could post links but I am not able to yet.. If you have questions please PM me and Ill send you the link(s).
I've fixed a number of 920's by reflashing the OS.

Use Data Package Manager for DL the ROM, it is much faster.
Same Problem
I have the same problem with my Lumia 920 - RM 821.
Already tried all the tools of Nokia, but without results.
My Lumia has stopped completely and I can not fix it.
Same problem
Frustrated! Every time i find someone with the same problem the forum stops with no solution available. My Lumia 925 is not recognized by NCS, Phoenix or PC. Reset dos not work.
Guys, the last two posters, I have the same issue, and sad to break it to you, I think we have a hardware failure. Battery (my bet on this), display (I doubt) or something else died. If the battery swapping doesn't work, I am pretty sure something else is gone, could be anything. Something as simple as the charging pin too.
Does anyone still have the software Navifirm and Nokia care suite they could share? My 920 is stuck in a reboot loop, I've tried the hard reset (hold volume down and power, wait for vibrate, release power, should see exclamation mark), but it just loops between off (3sec) and the NOKIA word (3sec) while I hold vol down . Thanks.
No matter, followed the instructions at https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2515453 which has got it working.
