Hi!
I saw that khold has recently posted the gsm ics ota. However it's only possible to flash it with rsd lite or similiar methods. I don't have access to a computer right now so is it possible to flash the ics update as a nandroid backup(if some one could upload it)?
My gsm razr is currenly running rooted 651.167.20.XT910.Retail.en.EU 6.1.5-167_SPU-15-M2
You can use this nandroid http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1734893 it is "Latam" but works fine on european razr.
This rom is much better and faster than stock ics.
Just sayin'...
...
Well I don't want to try any roms cuz if anything goes wrong I'll be stuck without a phone for weeks

Depends did you use the early UCLD3 leak? If so don't nandroid back.
If not then you can either flash like normal or restore a backup.
Device: LG P925 (Thrill 4g)
Rom: Doomed Froyo v2.0
Baseband: Stock v10e
Kernel: Stock

Yeah sorry. Just traded in that phone for the gs2. Thanks for the info.
I have tried CM9 on my Razr for a while but not quite happy with it but I can not flash it back to stock ROM. Does anyone know where to look for the solutions? I have read many topics but not make it through. It keeps saying Installation abort.
Thank you in advance.
use RSD Lite to flash stock ROM Gingerbread
What he said.....make sure you download the correct fast boot files which correspond with your phone....then just use RSS lite to flash to phone. This is simple and works well
Or use the RAZR utility which is a one stop shop
Sent from my XT910 using XDA

This. I just did this last week (reverting from leaked ICS back to stock GB). Works fine. Just RSD to stock GB and let your phone update all the way to the latest OTA.
which version of ics are you running? 84 or 83?

i used matts droid razr utility, the full version,it installs the fastboot files for you and worked great for me,was able to get back to 171 then ota to 181 root, install safestrap and voodoo all with the dru, just look it up in the forum
I have an DROID RAZR XT910 GSM/CDMA with the following stock ICS: 673.94.328.XT910.Optus.en.AU, Version 4.0.4, Build 6.7.3-94_SPI-328 and while looking at all the mods and roms out there I'm not confident in flashing this device because the version numbers are different and I don't wanna brick my phone (at close to AUD$800 I think you can understand why) so need help with getting JB onto it (impatient here in OZ, last round from GB to ICS took 6 months from advertised to actually going OTA here). Phone is rooted, have Titanium Backup and SuperSU installed but:
1: don't know how to back up the whole stock in case of failure and need to reinstall
2: not sure that any ROMs are safe to use in my phone (differing stock numbers etc)
3: what other software needed to make this happen
Can anyone please help!?! (where's that old interrobang when you need it)

Hi!
I'm an Aussie user but bought mine through Kogan (so it's a German phone). If you've already rooted the phone and have Stock ICS I'd recommend installing SS3.11 or BMM and running another JB ROM rather than try to flash stock.
There's heaps of threads with great ROMs on here and the Development thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2162827
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028020
Personally I use SS3.11 with CM10.1 as my daily and it's fine. I can also recommend AOKP4.22 which is now officially supported on XT910.
Benefit of this setup is that I can also boot back to stock whenever I want.
Cheers and happy flashing!

This is a bit late to see this thread, but there is a thread for the retail.au 4.1.2 official. If you do a search of the forum with "retail" and "au" you'll find it. Stock rom that needs to flash a kernel first.
First be sure to root if you're still on ICS. There's a one-click root tool in the development section.
Requires BMM 0.3.4, from there you can install the recovery and reboot into it. It allows you to do a nandroid backup.

Hi XDA,
first I need to apologize for my bad english I'm not a native speaker.
I installed MIUI v3.1.18 on my Motorola Razr and I want to get back on CM10. Of course I did not made a Nandroid Backup and I'm now sort of frightened to change the ROM. Is there somewhere a guide for that case or can you help me?
regards
d
E: btw, im especially frightened of getting back to safestrap / bmm - dont want to brick my phone :/
E2: think it would be the best for me to get back on stock JB. due MIUI is ICS based, is it a problem to flash directly to stock JB?
just use the fastboot files and rsd lite back to stock and start over again from scratch

Ok, but is it possible to go directly to JB? Or do I need to get back to ICS and use an OTA Update for JB?
thanx so much,
greets
Hi all,
I've made all the necessary steps before flashing a new ICS Rom: Unlocked Bootloader, Recovery (CWM), Root, S-OFF, made a backup.
I've tried few ICS roms (MUIU and Cyanogen) and the flashing was ok, but once the new rom boots and I touch a screen, the phone reboots. It happens all the time, regardless of the rom.
The strange thing is, that it happens only with ICS roms, but when I install JB (2.3.4) custom rom everything goes smoothly anf the phone works just fine.
How can I prevent my phone to restart all the time? I want to upgrade my Amaze to the ICS.
Thanks.

2.3.4 isn't JB (Jelly Bean) thats GB (Ginger Bread). Sounds like you have bad downloads. Check your Roms MD5 Sums.

Right It is GB. I checked the MD5 and they are ok. Anyway, there is now way that I will have bad downloads for ICS but good downloads for GB. There must be something else that I'm missing

For you to run ics roms you first need to update to ics from a ruu. Ics has different firmware and changes the partitions also. Once you do that then you can install ics based roms.

I removed the SuperCID
Can I install the Cyanogen MOD after it or do I have to install the PH85IMG before (points 5-9 in the tutorial)
