[Q] How to use KIES after having flashed a rom with Odin

Hi I purchase my phone to a friend that had already flashed it with odin, now I want to use KIES to upgrade my roms it is easier for me.
I heard that what is important is the csc file to change but I am in switzerland and I don't know what csc file too add to do the trick so that Kies will upgrade my phone.
Could you please help me ?
thanks
You need to install the original rom that came with phone via ODin first only then will kies recognise it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113928&highlight=official+kernel
you can try there to check the original for your carrier flash it with odin and then kies should recognise your device as upgradable.
Although I would suggest you stick with Odin as you can get to flash latest rom on Odin first then wait for kies

Hello, i have one piece galaxy II i9100 with following specs:
Android Version: 2.3.5
Baseband: i9100XXKI4
PDA: XWKJ1
Gingerbread XWKJ1

Put phone into download mode (volume down + home + power) and flash your official firmware found from Intratech thread with Odin.
Do NOT use PIT or repartition ! ! Follow his instructions exactly.
If you can't get phone into download mode, try a "Samsung USB jig" found on Ebay for around $2

First of all, you'll ant to get your phone to a working state before worrying about anything else........

Flash the firmware and kernel with "PDA" only checked via Odin. NO RE-PARTITION !!
Edit: Arabic OJPKG1 CSC: http://www.multiupload.com/1U8T9E5UQO
Flash the above CSC Arabic package "CSC" in Odin same time as kernel "PDA".
Edit2: With flashing a different CSC to that of your Product Code, future updates may not be recognised by KIES. Yoy can try KIES without USB debugging enabled though.
Follow Intratech's Guide Exactly.................
Note: This is official firmware, with no root. There is a slighlty faster way, just by flashing alternative firmware with CSC contained, but my links above is what you asked for

Guess what everyone, repaired my phone, flashed with I9100XWKJ1_OJVKJ3_TUR_Android_2.3.5...phone is ok now but i didnt flash kernel, is itok?...also dont want arabic, dont want to take a chance
Glad it worked out! Not sure about the kernel.... But if your product code is wrong, I don't think you'll get OTA updates, you might need it for correct product code. Could be wrong though.
Just hit the "thanks" when you've got the time. Cheers

[Q] Unable to update and initialize firmware using KIES (GT-I9305)

I just got a GT-I9305 and connected it to KIES to update and initialize firmware. I realise that KIES was showing "Current Firmware does not support update in KIES" when i click update and initialize firmware it replies "Initialize is not support for GT-I9305".
Current Firmware: AP: I9305XXALI9
Can i use just use ODIN to flash the firmware and will the flash counter jump ?
Another way i was thinking was to enter Download mode and use KIES's emergency restore.
Flashing official firmwares using Odin doesn't trigger flash counters.

[Q] cannot root sgs3 I9300 with odin

BasebandVersion: GT-I9300BVLH1
AVersion: 4.0.4
So I tried to install about 5 different CF-Root via odin 3.07 and It always fails after 5-10 minutes.
Enabled usb debug and got latest kies drivers, I'm confused.
PS:Im from France
Nvm finally succeeded to root using odin 1.84 and CF 6.2.

[HELP] KIES

When i plug my phone into my laptop and open kies it says
"your firmware version is not supported to update via kies" what's wrong? It's odin stock rom
Odin is not a stock rom.
If you flashed a different rom using odin at some point then you've probably broken your kies route to an upgrade, use odin instead.
Okay thankyou i thought flashing an official firmware made it all work
