Galaxy S II Original Android Development - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1058
and
Galaxy S II Android Development - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1204

Something else to note: there are GT-I9100G ROMs in this forum too. Make sure you don't flash one of those. The GT-I9100 and GT-I9100G have different hardware, so ROMs are incompatible between the two.

I live in Israel and I want to flash official israeli ics rom to my galaxy s2 i9100 ....is it possible?
No. You would brick the phone.
Sent from my Galaxy S2 GT i9100
But there's no hardware differences between this versions as I know only different modems so the 3g would work normally...so why should this brick my phone?
Australian/Oceania variants
GT-I9100T
The GT-I9100T (sold by Vodafone Australia and Telstra, and some carriers around the world except Europe and the Americas) is virtually identical to the I9100 and is functionally equivalent. There are claims on the XDA-Developers forum that this variant there are some differences in software, giving slightly better performance in the 850 MHz WCDMA band.

Info taken from wiki. In theory seems yes, but you don't have to. Your phone will work with any ROM designed for i9100.
Sorry about the wrong info. :/

YES, it is possible.
Do the following when flashing such Roms:
1. Backup your present ROM just incase.
2. Do normal wiping necessary before just like you want to flash a new ROM (just ask for help if you don't know what I'm talking about)
3. Flash the ROM
4. Flash back your modem (also known as baseband version)
5. Flash an I9100 custom kernel e.g Siyah or speedmod (don't flash any CF-ROOT kernel)
6. Fix permissions (under advanced)
7. Reboot your device.
All should go on as expected
Good luck

Hi,
If your device is a International I9300, so you can use all the firmwares for this device.
There are a lot of ROM's for your I9300 in Android Development Original section here.
Just follow the explanation in each post.
Regards.
do not flash the USA t mobile Rom on an international i9300, you will need your phone up big time, only flash Roms from this forum.......are you sure you have the international version?

I'm looking at getting the Canadian I527m mega 6.3. There appears to be next to no custom roms for the I527m. I expect this is because the US models are locked and they drive the custom Roms in north America.
Has anyone looked at the compatibility between the north American and international hardware as far as the Rom is concerned?

Did you find any rom for your i527M?
Thanks
Daniel

Hey everyone. Ive tried a few roms and after dealing with my fair share of quirks, i want to go back to the stock rom.
I know that sammlobile has them but there is a problem....i live in the USA and they dont have any roms listed for my region that i can find.
I have an unlocked galaxy note 2 (gt-n7100) rooted and i have clockwork recovery. I just cant find the stock rom for the united states.
Does it even matter? Lets say i download the one for jamacia....would it work just the same?
Thanks all! Feel free to look on sammobile for yourself. If you find a n7100 rom for the USA id love a link. Im using straight talk (att) if that matters.

I think it don't have any Stock firmware for USA because this phone (n7100) is not for USA (in US they have different version of note 2 like i317 and so on), you will never find any STOCK ROM for USA.
So, I will suggest you to find which Country your phone originally belongs and try to flash ROM for that country.
Also, you can try this link for more details - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31801046&postcount=1

I think, you wont brick your phone by downloading the wrong region ROM. You can put any version from any country only if your phone model is N7100.
Anyone, please correct me if I am wrong.
